My life has turned into
Late night showers
Midnight tears
Early morning sorrows
Miday fears
This vicious cycle eats at my soul
With pain and stories untold
Everyday it starts again

The word BROKEN haunts me because I know you can see my CRACKS
The word PERFECT hurts me because I know that's NOT ME
The word FOREVER worries me because what if it DOESN'T LAST
The word NOTHING engulfs me because EVERYTHING was TOO MUCH
The word FEAR takes over me because I'm LOST

The past is gone and washed away
Those scars and tears were yesterday's
I'm new I'm clean
I'll be who I can
The future is right here in the palm of my hand
The past is a story, that I'm done telling
The hope and joy that will come,
Keeps swelling
I'm moving on stronger each day
Now all I have to do is find my way
Goodbye demons, doubts, and pain

Sitting in the shower with the water pouring down on my head
And I imagine I'm in the rain...
And the world is washing her cruel marks off my skin
I feel better than I have in a long time.
I stare at my body with it's
Bruises and marks
And I love them for the stories they are
