On a Thursday
People were laughing
Friends smiled at each other
Kids played in their pool
Everyone was busy doing ordinary Thursday things
I was crying in my room, realizing that gone was forever
Did they not know?
Did they not feel the shift in gravity?
The world ended at 2:49 pm on a Thursday
And nobody else even looked up.
