DAWaldo
DAWaldo is a rising poet whose words speak to the heart and uplift others. He writes with sincerity, courage, and honest emotion, creating moments of clarity and connection that remind readers they are not alone and help them find comfort and strength.
Some connections don’t arrive with a plan. They grow naturally, little by little, until something simple begins to feel meaningful. This piece reflects that kind of bond, one built through closeness, trust, and the quiet hope of what two people can become together. Random harmony For you and me Has come to be A future that I see We have no plan Come take my hand We’ll walk in the sand Together we will stand Hold each other tight With all our might Nothing out of sight Tomorrow is bright As the rising sun We will grow as one No comparison What will become -DAWaldo

YOU & ME
Some questions do not come with easy answers. This piece reflects the way people are often judged by what they show on the outside, while the truth underneath can be much more complex. Sometimes perception is quick, but understanding takes time. If I walk alone… …am I lonely? If I scream… …am I mad? If I hurt… …am I broken? If I smile… …am I happy? If I cry… …am I sad? If I run… …am I afraid? If I tremble… …am I scared? If I help… …am I wrong? -DAWaldo

PERCEPTION
There is a strange tension in city life, where nature and civilization still exist side by side, even when we barely notice it. This piece reflects that uneasy balance, the warning signs around us, and the quiet reminder that life keeps speaking even when the world grows distracted. Sometimes what we hear in nature says more than what we hear from each other. Crickets silent tonight Chirping out of sight Light cracks the horizon A new day is rising Falcon screech I hear Dangerous presence is near Siren in the distance City life existence Have we lost our way Spirituality gone today We focus on the wrong Is hope for humanity gone We need to make a turn Pay attention and learn Dangerous presence is near Falcon screech I hear Bunnies will not play Little birds flock away Too much to overcome Falcon today has not won DAWaldo

THIS POEM IS MINE
YOUR LAND YOUR HOME There is a place Where I’m afraid to go Where the stars line up With the land below Where energy resonates From an unknown states Could this be from an alien hand Questions I don’t understand There is a place Where I’m afraid to go A beautiful place The whole world will know An ancient land Before biblical time A mystical prism IN the fabric of time There is a place Where I’m afraid to go Where the women are laced in gold Their power they hold is untold Cradling life in such a way Spiritual energy might say As they protect their clan To save this historic land There is a place Where I’m afraid to go A desert oasis made of gold Stories they tell are so bold Show me the treasures Of the land you call home And you will understand Why I’m afraid to go DAWaldo

YOUR LAND YOUR HOME
Why do we write? To cope, to escape, to embrace, to connect, to reflect. This poem was written for a special person I had just met, someone I would have never known if my friends had not pushed me to take that next step. This one is for you, Sakna — a journey I did not expect. Imagine there is a place With a smile on your face When you open the door Two worlds to explore One outside your front door One you’ve never seen before Come take a walk with me We’ll share harmony Imagine there is a place Somewhere in outer space Where all of the stars glow Bright as the moon we know Where we’ll never forget But we’ll always reflect About what we’ve become Due to things we overcome Imagine there is a place When we meet face to face An emotional embrace Can our hearts keep this pace -DAWaldo

SAKNA
Some poems do more than pass the time. They slow you down, make you think, and sometimes shift your whole mood. This piece is a reminder that poetry can carry feeling, imagery, and truth in a way that reaches deeper than ordinary words. Today I will sit alone Won’t even answer my phone Search for words to inspire Reach out if I desire Interesting poems I read Definite messages received Amazing we are all one Living under this sun 🌞 Thoughts we can put to words Understandably are nouns and verbs They will affect us in ways May even change your day The emotions are real Some you definitely feel The imagery you can see Occasionally sets you free But only if you take the time To explore outside your mind Listen and read to what they say Open your mind, read a poem today -DAWaldo

A POEM TO READ
Sometimes it’s the smallest moments that leave the biggest impact. A single smile can shift your energy, change your day, and create a connection you didn’t expect. This piece reflects how something so simple can turn into something meaningful. A smile started the show Your aura a perfect glow Voice so soft as you spoke Something inside awoke A day turned into three or four While looking through the door Hoping to see you again I was truly taken The time we have spent Definitely heaven sent Connected in some way Sixth sense one might say We take time to learn At each and every turn The stronger we become As we grow as one Nothing we cannot do When it comes to me & you Thankful in every way Your smile that day DAWaldo

THAT SMILE
This piece reflects how unexpected connections can grow into something deeper over time. Sometimes, what starts as something small turns into something meaningful that you never saw coming. What are the odds that two paths cross and create something real? If I was a betting man Would have lost this hand To meet someone like you And share the way we do Physical it may have been But something from within Turned into so much more As we open door after door Thankful for what we’ve become With the obstacles we overcome DAWaldo

WHAT ARE THE ODDS
Sometimes the hardest thing to do is step back and face yourself. In a world that constantly demands more from you, protecting your peace becomes a necessity. This piece reflects that quiet battle and the strength it takes to stay grounded. A recluse I will be If it keeps my sanity It is hard to blend in When you don’t have thick skin In a world full of hate I’ll take my empty plate Walk a mile in my shoes A choice you will not choose I’m thankful for my mind My vision is not blind Kindness that I can see Rare in society Easier to walk away Than to fight every day Self respect second place Clearly seen on my face If I learn from the past Forward progress should last Everything will begin Just take A LOOK WITHIN DAWaldo
