F/England I love poetry
Love is not just fire and spark, but hands that hold you in the dark. It’s quiet words, a steady heart, a choice to stay, not drift apart.

What is Love
We ran through summers hand in hand, barefoot dreams upon the sand. Laughter echoed, wild and free, a world that only we could see. We carved our names in bark and stone, swore we’d never be alone. Secrets shared in whispered tones, promises etched in childhood bones. But time, it pulls like autumn winds, scattering leaves, forgetting friends. Our footsteps faded, paths untied, we lost each other, side by side. And though the years have stretched so wide, sometimes, I hear your name inside— a distant voice, a memory true, a childhood I once shared with you.

Forgotten Footstep
The streetlights hum a lullaby, where once we ran so free. Barefoot dreams and laughter bright, now fade to memory. The swings still creak, the trees still stand, but we don’t climb so high. The world grew big, our hands let go, and we forgot to try. The summers stretched like golden waves, so endless in their shine. Yet time, unkind, has called us home, and left them far behind. The stars we swore would guide us back now shimmer cold and high. And childhood whispers soft goodbyes, like echoes in the sky.

Until I met you
You hated your eye colour Called it a dull and ***** brown Wished for the deep blue of an ocean Where admirers hearts would drown And it pained me when I realised You’d never see it like I do That I want to read right through They hold specks of stolen sunlight That you’d miss with just one glance And a depth of raw emotion That can freeze you in a trance They’re a fix of melted chocolate When I look into your eyes The brown of the earths unfettered beauty That I yearn to memorise When I was tired of not belonging They made me feel like I’d been found

Eyes
Never trust a mirror For a mirror always lies It makes you think that all you’re worth Can be seen from the outside Never trust a mirror It only shows you what’s skin deep You can’t see your eyelids flutter When you’re drifting off to sleep It doesn’t show you what the world can see When you’re only being you Or how your eyes light up And your reflection cannot tell you Everything you mean to me Never trust a mirror For it only shows your skin And if you think it dictates what your worth It’s time to look within
