Golden boys and pretty girls,
blue ties and pink frills,
bodies beneath the floor boards,
eleven different kills.
We were the picture of sophistication,
Red lipstick and champagne glasses,
but now I've traded in my glass display case and dresses
for padded rooms and suicide jackets,
All I wanted was to make you happy,
but I was drowning in this glass box you built me,
I'm so sorry,
but this box can't control my raging demons
. . .
and neither can I.

This is a letter to you.
To the you that's had a rough week. To the you that seems to be under constant storm clouds. To the you that's feels invisible. To the you who doesn't know how much longer you can hold on. To the you who has lost faith. And the one that is constantly blaming themselves for everything that goes wrong. To YOU.
You are incredible. You make this world a little bit more wonderful. You have so much potential and so many things left to do. You have time. Better things are coming your way, so please hang in there. You can do it. You CAN.

We'll conquer our demons
and wear our scars like wings
We'll cut the devil out of our hearts
and wear the scars like crowns
We'll rise above the burning embers of a sinking ship
and touch the stars bathed in forgotten dreams.

Before I am their daughter,
their sister,
their aunt,
niece or cousin,
I am my own person
and
I will not set fire to myself to keep them warm.

Everybody wants happiness
and nobody wants pain,
But you can't have a rainbow
without a little rain

You are only human,
you can only take so much
before you break,
We all bleed the same,
no matter how deep the wounds run.

People will forget what you said,
People will forget what you did,
But people will never forget
how you made them feel.

I’ve been bleeding
Water
For such a long time
Just a drop at a time
One drop doesn’t hurt
Like a leaky faucet
Whispering
Drip, drip, drip
Such a soft, sweet noise
But like a bottle breaking
In this empty room
Every hit
Fell like water
From the cracks in my arms
Every scratch
Every kick
Every scream
Every look
So much love
So much hate
Drip, drip, dripping
Into pools at my feet
Until I was bleeding water
Just a drop at a time
From one thousand wounds
And the sound became a roar
Like an ocean
I could drown in
A raging river
I could swim
But I fell into that noise
And all the drops
Became a din
Until my head was under water
And the world
Turned purple-blue
And the quiet
At last prevailed
Until the drops
Began anew

If you can't scream
cry instead,
If you can't hold on
let go instead,
If you can't speak
breathe instead,
If you can't run
walk instead,
If you can't watch
listen instead.
