Goodbye, Pretty Pink SunriseWhen nothing became of you and I found myself sitting on a sidewalk covered in night. / And the clouds in the sky didn’t wish to stay long; they must have had some place to be. / And the few constellations I knew scorned me, for even they were ashamed.

I see you in the sunsetThe sky bleeds itself into blackness, the more violent the prettier we see it. But when you reflect this pain off of the lake it’s okay because it’s too beautiful to sneer. / And when the sky wakes up and dark blue mornings fight the night-black people wake up and cry. / When I’m with you the world shines a little brighter and the grass is a little greener, because ending songs were only our beginnings.
