Want to overcome depression

See your old photos.

Old photos revive old memories

Life needs constant revival.

I was pursuing my favourite subject "Anti Matter", seriously.

Specialists cautioned me not pursue it as it is deadly.

I overlooked their advice, scornfully.

With a tired eye, I accidentally typed "Aunty Matter" on the browser.

That was that..........

I no longer "matter" to any one any more.

A lovely melody of life is created when the song in the mind and the perfect beat in the heart unite.
Eshwara Prasad Feb 2021
Poetry is a perfect interlude for joining two bad ends of life.

What does it mean to live in a perfect world?

Even crocodiles see Buddha in their dreams.
Put that perspective, many of us seem unimportant to life. Now, let me just say this: a tree without leaves is unsightly and will not survive.

Now our lives are not shaped by our thoughts but by the events of nature.

Ask Filipinos how often they have bounced back from the catastrophic events promoted by global warming.

My poor poetic skills cannot summarize the pain and suffering these unfortunate people face from year to year.

If you call a ***** a *****

you are not a poet.

If you call a ***** a Trident

you are a poet.

A poem is a pastry in words

A poet is a chef who cooks words

He cannot rescue an under

or over cooked wordy pastry

once it reaches hands of the reader.

A poet should cook his wordy pastry

slowly and carefully before he gives

it to consumers.

"Let the breath depart, but not poetry."
Eshwara Prasad Sep 2023
A poet is like a bee without wings that uses its imagination to sting nature, **** its beauty, and serve it as poetry to everyone.

I only want a small space to scribble down a few lines of poetry that will endure forever.

Come Alive

Dead Souls

Living  spirits

are living like dead

Hey, don't follow my trail as if I am the last trace of hope for you. Another, more ardent, has found me.

Art with charcoal piece, blissful but short lived.

Oil paint on canvass, commendable,
but no lasting satisfaction.
Eshwara Prasad Nov 2023
The disoriented clouds that passed overhead, fell into a distant river as rain drops and gained sanctity- a sacred transformation.
A Sage within poet?
A Poet within sage? who knows?
Wisdom's mystery?
Who resides within each of us?

All around disruption.
A shattered life.
No wish to re-build it.
I have chosen to rot where I am.

Carry some cremated human ashes

with you, always.

It will remind you that life

however gloriously or ingloriously

lived will end in ashes.

A Single entity
Several identities
Bewildered throng
Endless deliberation
No resolution
Only confusion

Ask not; how do you pay your
dues to banks

Ask; how do you pay your
dues to your country.
A smile so bright,
Joy in every curve,
Verse blossomed on face.
Eshwara Prasad Jul 2023
Even if it may be fleeting, a smile is a valuable service to humanity.

Stones pelted at
remarkably successful

We have foes inside
and in space as well.

Who are you?

Just a "thought!"

For the sins
Committed,
curse me once,
but not always.

Make me a Sandal
and walk to
every dark corner,
but don't mutter
your curse again.

I find no better punishment
than this to make atonement
for my sins.

When illiterate eyes are prodded to see beauty in the abstract by a clever mind.
Eshwara Prasad Nov 2023
A true friend emerges like a ray of hope when all else seems lost and gloomy shadows cast a long shadow.
Sail past all ensnaring memories and forever be free.

Dip your ego in your poetry.
Dip your poetry in the soul of readers.
It's the only way to make your ego and poetry divine.

Nothing existed before

Even this verse !
Bitter thoughts arise,
But words of peace prevail, modes
Change, conflict subsides.
Eshwara Prasad Dec 2022
I once had someone explain to me what happiness and hardship are in life. After that, I began to live in that way.

An unforseen begining and a familiar ending, whimsical dance of time in the vast expanse of imagination.

You practised yellow journalism
with gusto.

Now your eyes can see everything
only in yellow.

The Dog howled all night.

People of the area were terrified.

They considered dog's howling as a bad omen and a warning about someone's impending death.

The dog was dead following day morning.

I like that bald guy
He looks manly

He is high
on hormone.

He is bold and blunt,
Strong & Virile

He is romantic
& adventurous

He is rich & smart

He has hair
everywhere else!

He adores his
gleaming
bald head

He flaunts it!

Without the enduring drips of your pouring desires, every leaf on the tree of my emotions has fallen.

Care your family members, not like an owner of a vast enterprise, but  like an ordinary servant, without exerting on them the power of your position.
