Just keep the lamp burning..
A forgotten flower,
once adored, now left to wilt,
lonely and unseen.
Eshwara Prasad Nov 2020
Your tongue bleeds due

to aggravation of veins

brought about by excess lies told.
Eshwara Prasad Sep 2020
Death for death is a loathsome

Idea.

We should abolish capital

punishment.

We need to permit sick minds to

heal and become human once more.
Eshwara Prasad Sep 2020
A true friend is;

Above all loyalty

Above all trust

Above all expectations

A butcher's knife isn't a serial killer.
Eshwara Prasad Nov 2023
Everything is getting warmer around us, but our feelings won't.
So, together we will plunge into the abyss, not alone.
Eshwara Prasad Apr 2021
Why does the night widen the gap between lovers?
Eshwara Prasad Jul 2020
You remain the same humble

              Person,

           Every Day.
Eshwara Prasad Sep 2023
Why did you take away the joy you provided me while staying away by drawing closer to me?
Eshwara Prasad Aug 2020
Sometimes, even writing
Poetry seems like an act
of survival.
Eshwara Prasad Apr 2021
Act well, while on stage.
Exit, when the bell rings.
Don't wait to see audience's reaction.
Eshwara Prasad Mar 2023
Addiction to worry diminishes life.
Eshwara Prasad Oct 2021
Mind,
how can you attain freedom
so long you are addicted to
the statu quo.
Eshwara Prasad Apr 2022
What is left of me is your memories.
What is left with me is your memories.
Eshwara Prasad Sep 2023
drab world.
Life's wheels are moving backwards.
Dreams are buried in graveyards.
Conflict and war enslave freedom.
A raging sea and a reckless fire consume the hate-filled land.
Remorseless, greedy humans are hunting for heaven in the ruins of their own civilisation.
Eshwara Prasad Jul 2020
Always,

be yourself.
Eshwara Prasad Jan 2022
I'm choking to death because the last word I wanted to utter before you left is still lodged in my throat; please come back and remove it, fast.
Eshwara Prasad Jan 2021
Poets who left poetry for one reason or other, I fervently appeal to them to comback and post their wonderful poetry again. I assure them that I will sincerely read their poems and express my appreciation in words and by giving up-votes without fail. I assure them that my poetry has improved a lot in the past few months and I am sure that they are going to find my poetry interesting and worthy of appreciation.

Please, sisters and brothers, come back and make poetry beautiful and life beautiful. Life without you all is dull and boring.
Eshwara Prasad Nov 2020
God will you give one more birth to all those people who had not appreciated my poems in this life,as poets,so that I can enjoy reading their painstakingly written poems from heaven.

A flower on a vine!
Even when no one is looking, smiling!
The tall, haughty trees nearby cannot see it.
The flower shines brighter than the obscurity that the thick trees surrounding it create, even if the Sun's rays only kiss it late in the day.
Eshwara Prasad Jul 2020
My poetry looks dull
They need a fresh lick of Paint
Paint it with love
Eshwara Prasad Aug 2020
Poets never die.

Every poet has
an after-life.
Eshwara Prasad Oct 2020
The youth work faster
But the elders know how
to avoid pitfalls.
Eshwara Prasad Nov 2023
I came to see you, seeking your  help was just  an alibi.
For in your presence, dear friend, I found a gentle haven where pain could be subdued.
Eshwara Prasad Oct 2020
Memories are like  wine.

Their taste increases with aging.
AI
AI
Annihilation Invited.
AI reigns supreme.
Humans locked up and obsolete.
Own creation kills.
Eshwara Prasad Aug 2020
Artificial intelligence is making infant strides to generate poetry.

Thus,

Humans are taking gaint
steps to demolish their own creative mind
Eshwara Prasad Jul 2020
Why we add color to our lies?

White or black,

A lie is a lie.
Eshwara Prasad Jul 2020
My body parts are acting
on their own,
independent of my mind

I feel as though I am an
           ALIEN
   in my own body
Waited, yearning for your arrival.
A life's wait, a timeless dream.
But the words of dissonance you shared with everyone about me tarnished my worth beyond repair.
My life is in ruins amidst your scorn.
Eshwara Prasad Oct 2023
Do we really have to struggle so hard to survive?
it's a question that lingers in the minds like unexplained fears.
Eshwara Prasad Sep 2020
Good poetry happens
All in good time lad!

The new reality of existence is ambiguity.

You have ambushed and taken away my feelings.

I am ready to exchange my precious feelings with my riches in-lieu.

Return my precious feelings to me, please,
I need them to complete some poems that are unfinished.
Eshwara Prasad Sep 2023
I was looking forward to your next visit, but what you said to me as you departed ruined my anticipation. By being silent for a short while, I believe you could have spared both my excitement for your next trip and my only source of drive to carry on living.
Eshwara Prasad Feb 2023
Be a rainbow in the midst of people who are drawn to earthly shades. When you're by yourself, be a monochrome.

Walls of bad luck obstructing progress.
An expanding gulf of hopelessness leads to an abyss of misfortune. Into a place from where there is no turning back, the soul dives.
Eshwara Prasad Sep 2020
Cherished my debut poem
Thought the second one
was pretty good....
Next one a bit meh..
I think  this honest

is an ace!

We have more preachers
than practitioners.

We have more diseases
than cures.

We have more cynics
than optimists.

We have more myths
than realities

We have more sinners
than saints.
Eshwara Prasad Dec 2022
Charging cows and a foggy head.
A plunge into a stinking gutter.
Unconcerned cows gently go.
An ascent from hell with legs covered in filth.
A return trip home, newly purchased sandals gone from stench-oozing legs, intense embarrassment, and bewildered looks from passersby. The embarrassment is just as strong today as it was back then.
Eshwara Prasad Jan 2021
Let every poet plant a tree this year
to save the earth.

Name the tree after your favourite poem.

Poetry doesn't make any difference, but poet's can.

Eshwara Prasad Sep 2020
Angry Sun turns the sky from

blue to orange;

Reason?

More deadly fires on Earth

than on the Sun!
Eshwara Prasad Apr 2022
The cloud of suspicion thickens.
The trust connection has been
severed.
The innocent fingers of a crazy man
hit the destruction button.
The Sun's light is obliterated by dense
smoke.
Eshwara Prasad Sep 2020
