I sat on a hill of fresh cut grass
The cool wind slid down my dry throat
And as I opened ny mouth to speak
A black cloud covered the blazing sun
The air sunk and rain spat in my face
I crawled back into my hole like a wet dog

I want to feel the whip of thunder,
Press the earth against my skin.
Walk barefoot through the muddy lots of distant wilderness.
I want to dance in fields of flowers,
Hug the wind and jump right in.
Clear rivers flowing gently full of life and oxygen.
I want to climb the highest mountains,
Feel the lack of breathing air.
Do flips of cliffs and cut my lip and lay my body bare.
I want to ride camels in Egypt,
Touch the farthest brightest sun.
Count the stars and play guitar as foxes sing and hum.

I’m tired of the people that meet, I think that the Forrest is the reason.
The moon falters and sways
She sits in sublunary
She pants
She waves
Growing dim and dying
Her aching
Her sighing
The sky darkens
Her cold limbs stretch to the east
Her bare body, bathed by the beast
His love lays in defeat
I sink in sublunary

I stumble through these dark streets.
My dry mouth and slurred speech.
I called you but you won't receive,
My drunken pleads and memories.
Contorted minds and lucid dreams,
I'll sink into sublunary.

I climb the bed
Curl under stale sheets
Body sleeping
Mind reeling
My temper
My anger
This ****** ceiling

The light from my neighbors porch
Cast a shadow of tree branches on my wall
Yet I lay here wishing it was your silhouette instead.

#GreyHues
I dream of lilies and warm sunlight
Green grass and flower beds
Warm Jazz and Cold wine
Old couples and loud streets
Rainy days and summer heat
Love and ****** hands
Open fields and spring
Oh, how I dream.

A poem I wrote full of hope.
