I cut down the sunflowers,
just to brighten up your day.
seeding the grass so it remains green.

I, east to west,
west to east,
like a sunflower,
turn toward you.
You, like the sun entire,
make me revolve
around yourself.

Say, that you don't need
just sunlight and water because
you're more than a sunflower.

there, Moonflower with petals that shine,
with silhouette that whispers divine,
reflection that’s crystalline.

oh! mystic Faerie of the night,
awakened by the spark of daylight.

ethereal Daylight crashed in,
unlike any other rays,
with an unknown expression,
the moonflower fades away.

there, sunflower that’s mellow,
with soft hues of warm yellow,
reflection of a halo.

spotted amidst the meadows,
with life from all sorts of flow.

yet, heo only sees the Sun,
no matter what’s sprung.
it's only the Sun she gazes-

even if the Sun doesn’t return her embrace.

Whispers of gold adorn your visage,
but why do they hide your facade?
The orange skies are calling your name,
but you're too vague to gaze the glade.
The dawn lifts your veil,
for you long to be caressed by the sun,
but as the covetous twilight blinks,
you shy away from the world.

I will always wait for you.
I will be sitting on the off-white wooden chair in my off-yellow painted room staring at my off-color smartphone screen while I wait for your reply to a message I sent you fifteen minutes ago.

I will always wait for you.
I will still be standing by the table we sit at with all our friends at lunch
twenty seconds after the bell has rung while you zip up your backpack
then walk with me towards class.

I will always wait for you.
I will be bending over the road, craning my neck to look for the garish yellow bus
and your silhouette trudging up the hill but if I don’t see you in the next two minutes
slowly meandering down to look for you will be my next job.

I will always wait for you.
I will run over when I see your face all ******, body barely moving
lying on the road, then all of a sudden taken away I’ll completely forget today’s science test and
run as hard as I can towards the hospital.

I will always wait for you.
I will remember that it has been ten years today and the feel tall grass tickling my ankles as I walk,
bowing their heads in sorrow. I’ll bring you a sunflower, the first one grown at the new house, then
sit beside your weather-worn stone
and wait.
A poem I wrote for a summer writing camp almost a year ago.

You fall under falls kiss
you fall under its spell,
turning its green leaves into beautiful red ones.
You fall under its control,
switching your shirts into blue knitted sweaters.
And as sunflowers wilt and sulk back into the ground,
you grow and grow like a beanstalk,
until its winter again and you fall under winters kiss.

The human trudged away,
With pain in their heart,
They didn’t know where to go,
They had no clue where to start.
Is this the end?
Has my fate been sealed?
Perhaps it’s impossible,
Perhaps true love isn’t real.
But then they thought of the rose,
The one who showed them love,
They remembered what they said,
So the human looked above.
They turned their tear stained face,
To the warm open skies,
They felt peace wash over,
Like the gentle waves of the tide.
As long as I’m alive,
I’ll look towards the sun,
There’s more to life,
My journey is not done.
Radiant in the sunlight,
On the brightest hour,
The hope filled human,
Turned into a sunflower.
Sequel to The Rose in the Garden
There was an old legendary myth about a Dear Little Sprout
One who watches over mortals since The Creation up until throughout
Lurking from within numerous gardens as we all turnabout
Protecting those he deems good despite most mortals having such doubt

Dear Little Sprout can tell who's good and evil
Even acknowledging those who he deems neutral
Guiding Good and Punishing Evil as individuals
Giving advice for Neutral and hearing out their personal visual

Little did they know that the Dear Little Sprout has a big secret
One that he considers as the most deepest
That being he's more than just a symbolic fairy tale
But rather he's a Young Nature God with a hopeful prevail

He took the form a green-haired teenage boy
Surrounded by various flowers that's filled with so much joy
Roses, Daisies, Sunflowers, and many more he enjoys
The Dear Little Sprout, Herb, is always seen with such adorable poise

Sweet Little Herb shall spread happiness and love
For the sake of guiding and protecting everyone like a kind dove
Holding the Light of Creation in the form of the flower
With his love from those he's close to fills him with passionate power

Together we bring love like the roses in the garden
As we shine on similar to the daisies that was pardoned
We shall be as strong as the sunflowers from the proverb
The Dear Little Sprout, Our Sweet Little Herb
This poem is about a Young Nature God who watches over the humans, viewing them as flowers to take care of tenderly. Ranging from guiding the good people, to punishing evil people, and helping out those neutral as they live in society.

He is referred to as the titular "Dear Little Sprout" before being referred to by his actual name which is "Herb", the latter of the two is inspired by the character Herb Cookie from the Cookie Run Franchise!
