As I watch the sunset,
I remember the past.
We were all together,
in the circle of best friends
laughing about all the funny moments,
even the not so funny ones.
Everything feels perfect,
cause' I know you guys will forever be by my side,
forever be my friends.
Because of you guys,
I'll forever have a smile on my face.
the colors were still bright
and i could hear the sun
and draw my deepest thoughts with chalk
i didn't want for anyone
hop-scotch on the driveway
chasing runaway ***** down the hill
hide-and-seek 'til we got called in for lunch
then right back outside to chase a thrill
the most i feared
in my younger years
was being kissed by bumble bees
mixing potions with the berries
we picked from climbing trees
if we missed a knot and skipped a step
a cartooned bandaid would pay our debt
or a push-pop from the freeze
we were reckless with our hearts
and our minds got off with ease
the worst of it
that we might get
was strawberries on our knees
They are bright,
and they are beautiful.
With magical clouds,
as if someone had painted them.

The colors that came along with it,
were now blended together,
perfectly going together,
like it was meant to be.

We stare and admire,
wondering what nature is trying to say.
Watching the view slowly fade.
This is dedicated to my amazing friend Josie <3 She's the most awesome girl I've ever talked to.
My toes in the sand,
the rest of me soaking.
I'm laughing with my siblings,
as we splash water on each other.

I turn back,
watching my parents sitting together,
laughing and smiling,
as they watch the sunset.

The sky was beautiful,
covered in every color imaginable,
as if a completed canvas.
The clouds look like cotton candy.
Good enough to eat,
if you ask me.

Even the geese are relaxing on the side,
enjoying the moment just as much.

It felt freeing.
Nobody was thinking about the future,
or about work.
Everyone was just happy and alive,
all together with everyone else,
at the beach.
Cotton candy clouds are painted across the sky,
as we drive home.
My head's outside the window,
enjoying the blasting music,
along with the view.

As the scenery flashes by,
I see the faces of many,
tall and small,
young and old,
all with smiles.

Everything felt right,
just perfect,
like nothing could ruin the moment,
as we all sing our hearts out,
and float away.

Waterlilies sing
Hope plays her harp on jade moss
Summer’s melody
In the dusty haze of a late summer night

The cool breeze of air twirls and
Hums happily with a glamorous lady

As they dance around and around
An aura of shimmer blooms ~

Casting a shadow of radiance—
On the darkening eyes of the night sky

As they sing on and on
A million of sparkling stars brimming over
Creating blissful sounds all around

Filling every angle of the night ~

The dying branches of the willow tree
Become alive once again

The arid soil of the land becomes greener
With sprouting leaves and flowers

The melody of the night brings salvation
To the spirits of the night forest

Till the king of the sun rises—
They danced, sang, and chatted ~

Relishing every moment, every second,
Every minute, every hour they possess

As the prince of the dawn seeks them
They shared a devoted kiss at the last minute

Exchanging hugs for the final time ~

With smiles on their faces
They bid farewell to each other
Until the warmth embraces the world

Once more ~ ~
Once more ~ ~
the time has come
where wearing shorts
is reasonable for the weather
but alas
i cannot participate
cuz of my scars
i'm not ashamed of them
but people will judge me
when they see the word
"die" carved into my thigh
pants will eventually become uncomfortable
but i will persevere through it
i like my scars
they're pretty to me
but others don't think that way
shorts season is here
but i cannot participate

The Winter Queen is dead
She shed her icy rime from her crown
And from melting points of her tear-drop puddles
We see the sun.

I'm alive in the warmth of the golden glow,
Solar powered the way the cells swell
And I'm here, by the shoreline
Watching the waves crash and swallow castles.

Can in hand,
Resolved with the optimistic: "Yes I can!"
While taking the hoppy sleek liquid down with a swig
A pale ale with tropical taste,
Much like how I like the early sunset
This brew --

Tasty and hazy.
nothing better than a good ole hazy IPA during these warmer days!
