Through the years I have watched and defended you on my mind,
even to myself I exploit my own plot of the story.

I know your love has its limit,
I saw the clear lines and live with it.
I know I was treated differently,
but hey! I told myself I've always wanted this.

It was easier to agree and trust others, right?
But with me there are words added to the lines.

It has always been this way;
to become someone your own, but always feels alone.

I forgot when was the last time I wrote a poetry
but through the time nothing really changed.

But we became better people, better individuals.

Small boat, tiny port, an island
sleeping under hazy sun.
Mystical moist air, threads
of rose clouds decorate the sky.

On an empty day, the heart
wants for nothing. Radiance
pours abundance into each
instant of being, light's high
testimony chasing ghosts
of memory, sea's great chasm
surrendering to shore's sandy
welcome and the naked dance
of wind in wild palms.

An island alone accepts the risk
of solitude as evening illuminates its own blue glow
and the perfect silence of the stars fills the dark
with its own sweet comfort.

How, I thought,
Had I ever dreamt
Alone

Once upon a time,
When I knew not his
Fire

Free from embrace,
Assimilated by
Solitude

To revel in
Egyptian cottons
Desolate

--

How he burns me
From the inside
Out

I crave him, so,
My sleeping
Dragon

The heat in his belly
And beneath his
Skin

And I wake him
When the need
Arises

To fill me once more
With his morning
Light
The History: I would always say I need to sleep alone or else I can't rest. It turns out, I just needed to feel safe. I never want to be alone again.

The clearing in the woods is where
I find solace and solitude

I call it β€œthe glade” as it caresses
The covert, ceaseless, controlled calmness
That captures my core and character

Like a meditative mantra,
It manumits the melancholy misery
Of mundane mortality

Quiet and still, the glade is an asylum
For amnesty, absolution and
Apology of the mind

In the still of the night
I find myself alone
But I am not afraid
For I have overcome

Depression used to hold me down,
But I have found my way
Through the darkness and the pain
I have found a brighter day

So now I stay up late
With nothing but my thoughts
But I am not alone
For I have fought and I have wrought

A life that's worth living
A life that's full of joy
And though I may be by myself
I know I'm not a lonely boy

For I have learned to love myself
And to find solace in my mind
And now I am free
From the chains that held me confined
It's an all to familiar feeling to be awake late at night alone. It used to make me sad, but I've learned to love it. The peace, the silence, the solitude. My time to reflect, reminisce, and dream- yet not through sleep.

your eyes hot like a bullet
mine engulfed by the equinox &
the silences I walked away from
we are two or more
two people who shout at each other letters
that have never touched any alphabet
who throw beautiful ideas to be caught by twilight
the hour is always unknown
as if we watch each other's destiny
what comes next only the oracle of Delphi knows
or the roots of entropy maybe
I keep some thoughts in the straitjacket

we guard bridges, ancient castles in the sky
we guard the world not to turn into a casket without music
who invented this question mark
that we owe each other happiness
I wonder if the trees have unspoken meanings
do they turn overnight into telescopes to quest
the loneliness of stars, as we do

I might turn into a shadow
blinded by darkness
we draw uncanny shapes,
everything a circle can endure
with our mouths full of pebbles

then you come back after a long road home
It is winter time
looking gorgeous, outstanding female
wearing a chivalrous black outfit
with a wavy black hair, smells as wild flowers
A wooly pink flower scarf around your long neck
adds kindness to the cold
Now you think of having a partner but
there wouldn't be one for you are wearing a chivalrous black outfit
standing on your solitary sturdy feet
It suits you
aiming to be pretty smart too

I need to close the curtains
To my soul
No unnecessary light
No peeking inside
Just me and the night

Just me and the quiet.
