i like pink

soft as a baby
delicate and precious
smiles so warm like the setting sun
a rose in a thorny garden

i like yellow

oh how fun are their quirks
a mix and match of many things
oh the joy yellow brings
a symphony in my ears when they sing

i like blue

like the oceans and the seas
a calm sky and deep tones
calm and mysterious
endless tranquility and ferocity that sets the skin on flames

i like pink yellow and blue
i like all the colors
i like all the hues

i like pink yellow and blue
how about you?

Foolish speed bumps in my life
Do you have foibles?
Human quirks?

1/6/2020 - Poetry form: Quinzaine - "The English word quinzaine come from the French word qunize, meaning fifteen. A quinzaine is an unrhymed verse of fifteen syllables. These syllables are distributed among three lines so that there are seven syllables in the first line, five in the second line and three in the third line (7/5/3). The first line makes a statement. The next two lines ask a question relating to that statement." -shadowpoetry.com - © 2020 by Mark Toney. All rights reserved.

Flaws, are they not beautiful? Explain, describe what you are without them. Agreed, the wonders of the body and soul are what most search for, the island of quirks is often invisible enough. That is worrisome, even gods of old, wore these, wore them and shared them. Our mortality is clarity with them, no matter the divinity in our roots.

Simple little flaws, a rather significant part of who we indeed are.

I’d dare to say: in the end, we marry the flaws, not the perfection.
Let's take a minute,
Look at yourself in the mirror.
Look at your eyes,
do they shine?
Does your smile look straight?
Are your ears too wide?
Is your nose too big?

Move down a bit.
Your neck to thick?
Too many sunspots?
Adequate chest size?

Now look at your body.
Do I have enough curves?
Big enough hips?
Tiny waist?

No matter what I see,
Someone will find a flaw.
It doesn't matter how much weight I gain
Or how much I lose...
How much plastic surgery I have,
They are never satisfied.

Does it matter what they think?
Can you live your life without them?
Why not love yourself,
And see how that goes.

Self love is important,
You are all you got.
Before you can love someone else,
You must love yourself.

Someday someone will love you,
For your quirks and kinks.
They'll call you beautiful,
And forget about your flaws.

You deserve more than a second glance.
Someone will come your way.
Be patient and love yourself
You don't know who will come your way.

HER
She was a burning woodland glow, she was a glacial mass floe...

She was a vivacious chirpy bird, she was a lustrous keen sword...

She was a lascivious carnal dream, she was a pleasant amiable beam...

She was a dreadful animus love, she was an exquisite angelic dove...

And he made her swingeing quirk seize, she went slacken and then bled beige !!
