Sea
I heard a voice
It called me from the deepest greens of the ocean,
It allured me.
It called me again from the distant vortexes of darkness.
It sounded so familiar,  so intimate.

Silver ***** promenaded along the shore, scribbling poetry on the wet sand.
A distant Gandharvan threw light on them, their shells gleamed.

There is silence all around, and darkness.

The air is filled with nothingness.

In me froths a cold sea.
The waves roar against my eyelids and die a shameful death.
A million dreams swim in them.

Days pass by,
I stand here waiting.
Alone.
Come closer, dear voice.

Meri ankahi amaanat, meri eklauti ibaadat,
Meri jarurat, tu hi to hai meri zindagi,
Jakhmo ka marham, mera naadaan bachpan,
Meri hasi, tu hi to hai meri amaadgi.

Meri pahli ummid, mera akhiri kadam,
Meri parchhai, tu hi to hai meri baarish,
Har sawaal ka jawaab, mera har khwaab,
Meri neend, tu hi to hai meri khwahish.

Tu hi to hai jiske liye
Main bejaan ab saanse leta hoon,
Rukhi zindagi ki jameen mein
Tere hi to waqt ke beej bota hoon.

Tu hi to hai jiske liye
Duniya mein apni baat rakhta hoon,
Begairat duniya ki baaraat mein
Khushiyo ki sougaat rakhta hoon.

En bejaar chaar deewaaro ko
Tu hi to hai jo ghar banaati hai,
Tu hi to hai mera aaj, aane waala kal
Tu hi to meri jeewan saathi hai.

I raise my voice,
I say it out loud,
I speak for myself,
But they close my mouth,
Beware they say,
Be safe,
from whom I ask,
"Men" they say,
I stare at them,
I cannot fathom,
This fear is ridiculous,
Demeaning my existence,
women claim power,
Displaying weakness,
Men are only but humans,
Outspoken and strong,
But so are you in everyway,
Then why women do you not talk?!
