Your harmful words
Pass through me as I bath in
My own compliments
reverse poem; it's all based on perspective

You are smoke.
Mesmerizing.
Dangerous.
Beautiful.

You are smoke.
Impossible to touch,
Soothing,
Intoxicating.

You are smoke.
Because even though you slip
through my fingers,
And I can't hold onto you,

You suffocate me.
You make it hard for me to think.
You seep into every inch of my lungs;
You are harmful.

You are smoke.
Evaporating vapour;
And all I want to do is breathe you in.

It is not true,
don't believe it.

Your brain is being a *******,
put it in its place.

It's there to serve you,
not the other way around.

A message I sent to a friend that I may need to stash away for myself.

Love can be beautiful,
Yes, it can.

But love's also a drug,
And just like any addiction
It can cause more harm than good
Depending on the dosage
and the environment in which it's taken.

Some drugs give you a buzz when you're with friends,
Others leave you in the gutter all alone.
It depends on the strength,
The dosage
And who you're with.

Love can be beautiful
But it can also get out of control.

You always learn a lesson from it, don't you?
Love alone is harmless and magical,
Don't get me wrong.
But you also have to think of the situation...

I don't remember when I wrote this but it was a long time ago. It's a message I sent to my first boyfriend, I think it's fairly poetic.
When a man emerge
from the dark city streets
in search of light.

Getting away from ghetto
Past remain a tattoo
I have found a path too.

But the scars articulated in my face
Will always remind  me where I  was
yesterday.

So I remained humble too,
Knowing today life is harmful to
Someone. Under the street light.

Web spun in my house
Invisible threads surround
Thou not so harmful
I hate to see them around
Silently creeps on the walls

i am a lover of the sea
as the stillness extends past the horizon
as creatures make their way beneath the surface
it is home to many kinds
wild sinners run free
secrets sink their way to the bottom
where they hide their history for eternity
people mistake the ocean for being clear blue
but beneath the surface is a rainbow
that bounces through the sun rays
mermaid tails
dolphin calls
and fish that swim together
the ocean is just like our world
there's good things
bad things
there's beautiful things
ugly things
there's a whole world living in the ocean that we sink our feet into
we neglect the fact that we invade their home
when we throw a hook or ride a boat
we harm their lives and make fish float
the net that sits in the sea
captures many lives and hurts many families
the beauty that it beholds
is being damaged by our own hands
our own materials
our own harmful ways
i am a lover of the sea
and i believe that we should let it be free.
