love something in between
love the chase
love the adventure,
but this time
the wings failed to ****** the wind
love the rush
love the warmth
love the ecstasy--
euphoria by something borrowed
love the game
and play it hard
fight or fold
yet what's at stake
is more than I'm willing to risk

Naked I came, naked I’ll leave
Then the worms will dine on me
This circle of life I cannot flee
A painless death is my only plea

There is beauty in bloom, there is beauty in rot
But in the end I’ll care not
Fingers, toes, eyes, and bone
I shall return to earth
Life is a loan
Maybe I'll be a garden.

Some scars are old,
Some are new,
A borrowed heart,
Feeling blue.

sometimes we expect so much from people, because we would be willing to do the same thing for them.

I didn't know
the 'I love you's you gave me
were borrowed.

It started with a jacket
left unattended.
I grabbed it as a friend
no intentions.
Wore it the next the day,
it engulfed my shorter frame.
We laughed, a platonic encounter
then I forgot to give it back.

It started conversations,
we discovered who we were
beneath our social façades.
That's when I fell
for you
and somewhere, you fell
for me.

A borrowed moment
A lasting affection.
this is a rewrite of an earlier poem "borrowed shoes"

It's not feasible for me to depend on you to wrap me up and protect me from the world as much as I would like that to be so.

I can't come curl up on your lap every time the world takes a swing at me.

I can't call you in the middle of every busy day to whine that people are irritating.

I can't expect you to be there every night to hear me vent or emote about my day.

I can't depend on your comfort. I need to depend on me.

Still, I'm sitting here trying to calm down

And I ******* miss you.

The glare of my innocence
Was the image you laid your eyes on
Your eyes caught mine and they exchanged something our minds couldn't forget
Something Borrowed

Every step you took towards me
Was like a mistake waiting to happen
I didn't hesistate to let you step further into my world.
You opened your mouth and whispered sweet nothings in my ear, again
Something borrrowed

I fell into a whirl pool, a storm
Something I thought was a gaze of adventure
Just one touch took me a million places
My heart races, you captured it and again
Something borrowed

You Undress my mind, my body,my soul
The steam we let loose outlined our shadows
And masked our feelings
You enter and take my innocence
Again
Something borrowed

Something as precious as my time,my attention, heart and innocence is something no man has ever embarked on
It was priceless, until you came along, used it and put it back
But not the way it was found
I was just something
Something borrowed.

It all started with borrowed shoes
They were left unattended
So I grabbed them as a friend
And with no intentions
I wore them the next day
We laughed like it was all fun and games
Then I forgot to return them

It all started with borrowed shoes
That I eventually did give back
But I guess that's when I fell for you
The way you laughed and played along
Then somewhere along the way
You began to fall for me
And to think all it took was borrowed shoes
