*Upside Down*
Megan Mae Feb 2013
I feel as if life's turned upside down...
Honestly the news has me shaken,
The lies I've believed,
And the signs I've miss taken...
Are you lying to her?
Are you lying to me?
The cats out of the bag and now
The world is upside down you see...

I've said nothing wrong,
But you've done nothing right...
How many times have I been there for you?
And yet when I need you you're out of sight?
She's sitting there, hands touching you,
Before my friends and yours too.
If you tried to keep her a secret
You're playing the cards all wrong...
For introducing her will make
The rumors spin faster!
Can't you hear Upside down song?

But here I was deceived,
Told by you day after day
That she was completely
Forgotten and out of the way.
What a fool am I to believe you so quickly.
I let you touch me, Kiss me,
Love me like I thought you should.
But here I am seeing the lines
That I let you cross while I stood
Completely unaware... And now
Everything's Upside down.

How could you do this to me?
Take advantage and use me so?
You love me you say? How funny.
I would believe you if not for last night...
You bringing her out and kissing her lips,
Taking her hand, playing under the table,
While before those who you knew would tell me.
You have no shame...I can't believe I let you...
I can't even finish the sentence... cause I don't want to.
Everything is spinning till i fall Upside Down.

This relationship, this friendship,
That Bull you think you have?
Consider it gone, lost and over.
I want nothing to do with you,
I will always Love you, I swear you've
Pulled my heart from my chest.
You're games are finished, I've broken the board,
Flipped it till the pieces have all fallen like
The broken pieces of my heart.
So you have fun with out me, not even a smile
Will you get from me while she's on your arm.
You're a lying snake cheating and playing with hearts.
Have fun playing your games with the Board...
UPSIDE DOWN.
title piece of my book *Upside Down*- From Upside Down
Upside down world
We're  living in a pandemic
everyone is giving there all
We won't fall
Don't hide away
Knowing God is on our side
Upside down world
We hear his call
We won't fall
We won't fall
We won't fall
We won't fall
Hold on, hold on
He's got you
He's  got you
Upside down world
Upside down world
Things will turn around
Being isolated
Seeing life differently
Being safe, being safe
Missing your face
Upside down
Inside out
Things will turn around
Let's sing, sing of hope
We need to stay apart
Apart awhile longer
This will make us stronger
Everyone is giving there all
We won't fall in this upside down world
Things will turn around in this
Upside down world

The Upside Down
Euphie Dec 2018
Paper planes, falling
down,
down—
down.

Into the starlight,
that is upside down.

In my heart, it’s beating
one,
two—
three.

The street lights are blinking,
in the upside, down.
My world is red, it's shadows.
Raven black.
The treetops are swaying,
in the upside, down.

Black on red, it’s pattern
tartan plaid.
Who’ll be my lover?
In the upside, down.

As above, so below.
Touch me until my bones
grow cold.

I am a dream so, shut your eyes.
And hold me close—
in the upside, down.

Till the music stops playing,
and the sheet music
is scrolled across my lungs.

As though nothing could fail
in the upside, down.

I found it in the glass cabinet.
The tequila, that is,
Not you.

Is nights like these,
The ones where your image is burned into my retinas,
Upside-down and backwards,
Upside-down and backwards,
You are burned upside-down and back wards.

And not even marathons of ****** crime TV shows and remove you from me.

These are the nights that in find my self in the glass cabinet.

But there are nights that I welcome you.
The nights where I smear charcoal across my face,
Across my page,
Upside-down and backwards
Upside-down and backwards
Seeking the blue that is your eyes.

You are a welcome guest those nights,
But I am not.

It’s funny to me that you loved Salinger so,
Seeing, as you are not as lucky as Holden.
But your borrowed the book anyways.

You are the reason that I can't wear belts,
Because I always picture you in a way that I shouldn't
It's your fault my pants sag.

And you made out with a senior and I was jealous
And you were screaming.

You knew didn’t you?
That you were going to leave me?

I cannot tell if I am angry.

You are gone.

I am upside-down and backwards
Upside down and backwards

And we are broken.

shouldn't complain,
my life is good,
what's little rain !

but these little trials
of today, have me complaining anyway.

spilt coffee on my favourite shirt,
on the upside coffee
stone- cold no one hurt.

lost ten thousand word report, computer glitch
on the upside,
someone in Nepal
will have insight into dramatic synergy in isben's plays.

some dude stole my lunch, leftover chicken *** pie,
on the upside,
i'm fairly sure my two year old sneezed in it.

broke a heel in the carpark. no upside,
they were my favourites.

got home my mum,
who has come to live
with us,
has re-organised the kitchen. still looking
for the upside.

burnt dinner, no wine looking for the carkeys,
to go and find upside,
probably in the next city over.

car won't start,
upside,
no one can hear you,
scream in locked car!

downside,
they can see you....

...........shouldn't complain
just having  one of those
days

On the edge, the living earth
dared to mimic Queen Fathima's worth,
the Queen of Heaven's grace and poise,
her footsteps, a blessed path of choice.
This way bedewed with divine light,
a numinous destination of sight,
graced by thousands of prophets of God,
a sacred path that all should trod.

In Allah's name, she descended,
on the Night of Ascension, her path transcended.
from the Night of Measures, she came,
her frame, heaven's dark matter, a mystery untamed.
A divine dot in terra incognita,
a fondly-folded bud where time doth bloom.
If one can see up to where it rose,
Paradise sways towards this uncharted way
the only guide, oft is a glimpse of Queen Fathima's eye!

The only asymmetrical golden ratio,
steps forth amidst the symmetrical prophet flock.
The earth makes way for her in awe,
as she moves in sequence with the golden lock.
Cloaked in mystery, she reveals
her unique, divine relation to the divine.
Makes measured moves at the forefront,
shining the light ever drawing closure to God.

She is so pretty and classy, a paragon of art,
a sunrise amidst the eternal night.
Her beauty is a burning fire in her shadow,
she is 'Zahra,' pure light, a luminary dynamo.
The only woman in heaven and earth with no shadow!

The great flock of women mirrors the earth,
following each atom on that angled girth,
aligned perfectly under the waxing full moon's worth.
As they approach the behemoth's might,
atoms beneath their skin explode in their finest sway,
and beneath Fathima's feet, vibrations take flight.

The ocean billows up, floating with the clouds,
Like choreographed dewdrops hanging low on the rose,
Ready to shower down on that hot spot like honey-drops.

Even the Moon on the horizon follows suit,
Ah, the lunar punter rows down, loves to sip in a drop.
the sleeping beauty wakes amidst the moonlit night,
silver dances in her eyes on every star in sight,
as the Moon sails down from its celestial height.
The seven seas sing out in the dark,
bubbling with exuberant fireflies' spark,
who gleefully rock the moonlit boat,
towards the cup of that pretty little drop.

Poetry in motion, the sea on the ground
a beauty reflected in the Moon on high
the storylines jump and dance around.
Painting the colors of the winds in the sky
over the shady grove, the rhythm goes on
rains down from the sky on that sweet spot
singing the sweetest of all title songs.

Never before was a woman a prophet of God,
but for the primitive woman, the leading lady,
the sharpest cut above the rest, the leader of the pack.
Sayeedatun Nessa, Queen Fathima,
Heaven holds no secrets, always an open mirror!

Secret is Fathima touched the bottom of the earth first
it's in her elements a pure unique one otherworldly love
the womankind scores that only entering paradise!
"There is no night, only déjà vu moonlight
the pious homemakers, these veiled tuberoses,
were hidden gems to the sublunary fireflies
who will be open moons in heaven's secret skies."
The Huris gaze upon mesmerizing beauty,
but their eyes turn to the real McCoy:
the women in paradise!

The universe debuts a primitive water dew,
Big Bang, soon Fathima drops in it her two hairs duo
enkindles the inner dark energy in the dark matter mole.
Absolutely pure, nature wakes up get the building rock
nothing like it never seen before, treasures in Earth's core.

The Queen's first impression hooks on
the motionless earth in the dew makes the first move
polished golden spiral is in bloom expanding ever more
the last thing the sun can't do can't take its eyes off
after the Big Bang big fireworks still (Ratqan) a black mole
thicker than the black moon, gravitates the cosmos!

Walking in the dark ahead of the sun and the moonlight
one step up on that shady way the Queen cemented on,
perfectly circle pi-locks, the earth takes a Ma pause.
Until God willing Fathima's locks shall finally bottom in
the long haul of time squeezing out paradise upside for good,
the heavenly Queen shines the light in the secret end of God!

The planetary ebb and flow are on the way heaven
the planet earth is the only steppingstone.
No matter how many times they try on
there will still be an unturned stone.
Until the very one, the original woman,
the Queen Fathima steps on.

Dots connect in her presence
the nadir and the zenith perfectly intersect
once for all that shall mingle in her perfect circle
without a labyrinth gap in the whole
making ‘As above, so below’ pure Scientia scenario.

Where the Queen stands on
heaven will open its grand door!
No more reverse engineering the original
God willing Fathima will step on
on the last turned stone.
From the very one greatest woman
paradise starts from there on
from beneath the mother’s foot!

She is so pretty and classy, a paragon of art,

Sometimes,
Even when it's just for an instant,
I forget who I am.

I forget my name,
I forget when I was born,
I forget how I look,
I forget what year is this.

You see,
You get to a point in your life
Where none of this matter anymore.
That old song titled with your name
Doesn't seem so pretty as it did before
That old poem someone made to you
Doesn't make sense anymore.
You think "it's just not me,
but who am I?"

And you roll up in your bed,
And you try to mess with someone's head
Just to see if you still can.
And you spin your world upside down,
And you try to look everybody upside down.
Sometimes it's even better upside down.

Sometimes you find yourself in reverse.
And you reinvent yourself,
And you change your name,
And you change your birthdate,
And you change the color of your hair,
And you try to change who you are,
And not a bit is changed.
And then, again, you ask:
"Who am I?"

And you meet new people,
And you fall in love again,
And you think you know
Who you really are,
And then the world is
Upside down again.

And you give up,
And you try to live with yourself in reverse,
And you try to fall in love in reverse,
And you see how pointless it is,
And you're back to normal.
And then, what is normal?

And you give up on searching for the answers
And then you start to live.
And you meet someone,
Your life is changed.

It may be a shrink,
It may be a lover,
It may be a friend.
You just look at 'em
And you're home.
You find yourself
In desperation.
You find yourself
In happiness.
You find yourself
Anywhere, anytime.
It's just a surprising
Little scaring moment.

And you realize
There is so many interesting things in the universe
So many movies to watch,
So many music to listen,
Maybe some with your name in it,
So many dreams to live,
So many people to meet,
So many whatever to do.

And
all
that
search
was
pointless.

You don't have to be who your name tell you to be,
You don't have to be what your star sign is telling you to be,
So doesn't matter what is your name,
Doesn't matter when you were born,
Doesn't matter what year is this.
You don't have to be someone,
You don't even have to be yourself.

You just have to
be.
Just watching too many french movies, I guess. I hope it makes sense.

i fear you
the boy who can make the moonlight whimsical
the sunshine sultry
he made a path for you in the sky so you could see
he made an upside down world

the rose of his lips are compass rose
his words directs you to the northern lights
compass lips move in warm circles
making the world spin on your flesh
so heavy you might be smashed

Its all a dream and the world was him
And he was the world.
The world made a path so you could see
Through whimsical moons and sultry suns
He had not made an upside down world
The world had made an upside down boy
It was because you have given him all the power of the world.

Ever since I realized this I have sat here with my compass crying
Knowing you were headed the wrong way
You don’t hear me over the sound of the wind
as you sail along on a sea of tears and blood
Because you said you loved travel

Its your third lap around the world
And I am chasing you
through sultry suns and whimsical moons
because somewhere on the ship of the upside down boy
is a hole and you see you’re sinking
I pray the sea of blood and tears wont drown you
if I just hold on to my compass

Eventually you will hate travel
You will hate the sea
You will hate the moon and sun.

I don’t fear him; I fear you.
I don’t blame you; I blame him
Because I love you
And you love him
And now the world really is upside down

If someday the world is turned upside down !
Would you care
To be my companion ?

The sky will be an endless pool,
We'll dive into the blue and drink of it.
I'll plant a tree at its shore ,
A tree of our hopes,
Watered with our deepest desires.
I'll tie a swing of our dreams on its branches,
And we'll soar higher into heavens.

If someday the world is turned upside down ,
Would you care
To be my companion ?

We'll kiss the suns sprouting ray
of crimson hue,
And the moon would sing us
Sweet lullabies by night
Trust me ! We'll ride the winged breeze
And write our adventures on earth's *****.

If someday the world is turned upside down ,
Would you care
To be my companion ?
Would you ?
When Life is all about possibilities .... Why be the one to make it impossible??

Full of friends and love
Hate and lust
Being thrown under the bus

Doing the right thing
Is harder than it sounds
Harder than it looks, too
Always wanting to be found

Rescued from the abyss
That feeds off of your sadness
That doesn’t know when to stop
That will make you collapse

Needing support
Wherever you can find it
Taking it from others
If it means peace

Life upside-down
Never know how
To turn your life over
That frown upside-down

So when you find peace
Wherever you find it
You never want to leave it
But sometimes you must

Coming back to resurface
After all the sadness
You see the world differently
Then you saw it before.

People can help
But sometimes they don’t
Sometimes they think their helping
But really they’re not

Don’t fall for the lies
The deceptions they place
To try and make you come with them
And do the wrong things

Because in the end, you’ll find
You never wanted to be with them
You just want to be you
And not just some hologram

Embrace who you are
And what you’ve gone through
No matter what it is
Walk up with open arms

Take what you have
And don’t worry about what you don’t
Because in the end, you’ll find
There’s nothing wrong with you

You’ve been through high times
And low ones, too
But no matter what had happened
You found your way through

Through the darkness, you emerged
Opening your eyes
To a new world of color
Without wearing a disguise

Learning who you are
Can change how you act
Change how you feel
Even change how you react

Because now you know
How to see in color
No longer in the darkness
World seeming brighter

Every day can be a good one
If you know how to live it
All you have to do
Is change how you see it
