Cacophonous crows,
Teardown curtain, let morn in;
Feel good anarchy!

Here you are, reading some book
When you should be out there
Playing football and eating *****

We got work to do
You gotta move those shingles
I gotta hammer those nails
Don’t carry so much up the ladder at once
You’ll wreck your back and slow me down
I don’t want to be stuck here with you all day

There you are, writing again
You look so different with a pen in your hand
Without packs of shingles on your shoulders

I don’t understand why you do that
You’re supposed to be a baseball star
You’re supposed to win, make me proud
You’re supposed to hate the *******
Crack jokes and laugh at the queers
I just want to be proud of you

Anyway, the last teardown left a huge mess
Put down that pen, grab that pick, and get in my truck
These shingles ain’t moving themselves

Fingers against the portrait.
Dragging the vision into despair.
Landscape lop-sided.
Stock photo nightmare.
Bared against the lies.
Deformation of character, a characteristic cliché.
A teardown of deception is more like it.
But let's lay close to our lilo of lies in the cesspool of sporadic secrets.
Heart to Head

Such a silly thing that head is
I just don't understand that brain of his
Such dumb and foolish ideas he creates
Quite honestly it's about time I set him straight
Such Pain he causes and thrusts upon me
Always putting this poor old heart on the marquee
Such poor choices of women to give to this old man
Throwing me under rubble like some strongman
Such stress doesn't he understand I'm able to break
Just look at me do you not see this large crack
I'm on my last blood vessel you dumb brain
I can no longer handle this painful strain
Please head don't hurt me anymore
You are leaving me Broken, ******, and Sore
That's it I am done I'm broken and down
Anymore of these heartaches will make me teardown
Heart heart come back to me I hear him shout
Head head is that you I try to call out
Don''t leave me heart I won't break you again
You suddenly care for me old friend since when
Head and heart we are now on the same page
Working together when we wish to romantically engage
This time we will look for someone to truly love
Poem about Heartbreak
Andi Leigh Aug 22
My blood is glue
Boiling under roof tile skin,

Under the judgmental sun
Waiting for rain to come.

My house is the aftermath
Of heaven falling straight to hell,

The adhesive peels,
Revealing the mold that we breathe.

I am in need
Of renovations that will

Stake me down, down
And ready to settle.

No more plans, no more revisions,
Just one final teardown

And a newly found
Foundation

That will keep me grounded
And satiated.
