Skindeep

Beauty does not fade, yet, instead it manifest into a contrasting concept society is unable to perceive
Beauty standards!! I wonder who comes up with those,.. society?? But we are the society.. why do we come up with things against ourselves?
Making women and men feel bad about themselves just to advertise products.
Telling them, they are not good enough and will continue to be not good enough until they use that which is being sold.
Its sad really.. our insecurities are their adverts,. Whats sad is they give the solution but it leaves our minds the same, immediately after "fixing" the "defect" we look for another one..
The best solution is to know that true beauty is skindeep and judging people by outward appearance is not fair.
Real beauty lies inside of us,its good to look good and feel good.. but focusing on the outside never satisfies.

Nothing happens and as long as I'm sedated nothing can go about it's way blissfully

I can't stand to live another day across from you
But you know where I am if you need a place to stay

I've mistaken my killer for my twin before
And the aftermath is me left alone to answer:
What else have I got to lose?

Dart your eyes to the floor and keep them
there when you see me passing.
I don't bask in your fear, don't misunderstand me, I want the best for you that much has never changed
Β Β nor will it ever

You just owe me as much to carry the burden of knowing me beyond skindeep head on lap fingers claw thru my hair cancelling out the noise nextroom and lets me think I could sleep if I wanted to,

Who'd you think you are to tell others I was never grateful?
My grace is all I've had for a while and that's what's been the matter
With or without you there to add and take away from me in that state
or parading as some other,
We both did it it's only human infact when we stopped imitating it was only right for us to fall apart

You take my silence as anger and consider yourself victorious
Baby I know you as well as you know me
We'd still be best of friends if you'd kept your shoes on,we both know that; but how can you expect forgiveness and for me to be thankful for you
Saying you forgive me
I'd be less stunned if you slapped me baby
I figured you out long before we gave up speaking then became you in your absence just to impersonate your company
Is that not a white flag being swayed by a dying captain?
Shame shame shame cast for all nearby spirits to observe and laugh at
if they so pleased

I bite my teeth and stomp my feet but nothing ever changes
Stick with it
My varicose veins started to swell day by day, mother.
How do I make the pain go?

Well, periwinkles are anesthesia.
It will help you numb the pain
if you make sure to keep
the stench within.
So keep some in a bottle.
And son, from now on
Get a skindeep sunlight surgery.
And forget the tea.
I'll make you a cup of rain for the morning.
So get well soon, okay?
You better be.

Day by day
I metamorph
into a tree.

She chooses, silver, but it comes out red
As it bleeds, she thinks of what they’ve said
She puts it back, not guilty, but relieved instead
Then gets ready and goes to bed.
She remembers she can’t sleep
That’s when the horrible thoughts start to seep
She lies there, buried skindeep
In problems she wished she didn’t have to keep.
She hides her sadness with a false smile
All she wants is to go away for a while
She pretends to be fine to beguile
The people living in the perfect style.
She feels the pain fly away once she’s drawn
The little lines, always there and never gone
She’s hurting from day to dawn
Because life is an agonizing marathon.
