still discovering my writing style but I'm putting everything I write on here instead of fussing over it till it's 'perfect'

Unbridled
Paulamae Aug 2010
My heart won’t beat
Unless you start it
So wind it up
And let me go
I will run a thousand miles
Trying to collect
What’s been lost from me
I promise
When we collide
The sparks that ignite
Will light the world
For only a day
But what we make of it
Is truly up to you
I will be content
Listening to your soft breath
As you hold me tight
A faint heartbeat
Whispers everything will be alright
With only 24 hours
We must live up to the moment
With every precious second
We must act like it is the last
What little time we built
So delicate
Oh so beautiful
They will never think to look
Where we hide
Behind our eyes
Runaways
Holding the others heart
Walk in stride
Side to side
Pacing through our day
Once the sun sets
The heart rests
And these feelings fade away
Be glad we made the best of it
As the light
Of our day
Dims away.

BLINDING
The Terry Tree Oct 2014
Do you know how incredible you are?
I didn’t think so.
I told you once.
I think you forgot.

When I look into your eyes
When I feel your heartbeat
With all your insecurities
Every one
Your beautiful purity
Your soft light
The aura of your miracle
Is truly
Blinding
Us

Let me look at you
Ah, there you are
Like a blast from the past
Like the thing
I’ve always been looking for
Waiting for
Waiting
No
More
For

That smile is something else…
Where did you get that?
God must have given that to you.
It certainly looks as beautiful as God makes me feel.

Do you remember that time
When we were dreaming together?
You held my hand and we were running
Through the fields of our love
The light was so blinding
Exactly the same way
That you’re blinding
Me now

If I promise to hold you
To be there to unfold you
When the emptiness
Remains
And the clouds
Settle in
Could you promise
To smile at me like that
Everyday?
What if I say
You can be however you want?
Would you drop your insecurities?
Would you drown me in the purities
Of your love?
Could it be
Our love?

The things you don’t believe
About yourself
Are the things I will encourage
Everyday that you attempt
To travel backwards
And discourage it
I will be there
If you trust me
If you take my hand
We can move this
Mountain

Someone forgot to tell you
How beautiful you are
I am only grateful
Because I get to be the one
To say it
In
This
Moment

Do you remember that time
When we were dreaming together?
You held my hand and we were running
Through the fields of our love
The light was so blinding
Exactly the same way
That you’re blinding
Me now

Shine on
Glow
Even if you truly
Do not know
One day
You will
And I will be here
To soothe the pain
To face the fear
To add a feather
On either side
To find you
When you want to hide
To help you
Extinguish your insecurities
To Spread your wings
To help you blind the world
With the light of your love
And
Other
Things

They talk oh how they talk about life,
Pleasant contentment in their laughs,
Carefree pleasantries, their words as they breathe.
And yet, I am elsewhere in another time and place,
Tapping the keys on the keyboard which play the strings of my heart,
And I imagine their heartbeat with mine,
I feel their connection with one another - that is my connection.
And at the same time I think big thoughts about the universe, the stars, the expanse of disorder,
And also, their conversation which slows my mind.

Listening to the rhythm and human intonation of their speech: A casual lull hitting the seas of infinite chaos.
While listening to coworkers have a friendly conversation.
