Remember when we had less
We seemed to have more happiness
Now sitting here with pockets full
We tend to frown in all we do

Without a doubt when we had less
We moved about with lower stress
And when the money came along
All it did was to pile on

We strolled along without a care
Now we're not sure of where we are
Empty wallets, simple times
Now all we do is bend to the grind

When we had less to fret with
Clutter wise or deep in debt
When fortune unfortunately came along
That's the point it all went wrong

Some feel with the less you have
The harder it is to get ahead
But the more you have the more you're kept
By the seed of greed inside your head

Afraid you'll lose all that you have...
