For the hundredth time
This has crossed my mind
Seven oceans
Winds, storms, swells

Will I ever find you?
Will the seas die down
And the current bring you in?

For the hundredth time
I've wished you were here
As I sit and watch the tides roll in

Ebbing and flowing
I watch them, hoping...
With every crash my heart skips

A

Beat

Hoping I'd see you on the horison.

Just like the tide drains
So does my heart

Once again it is a single row of footsteps following me home.

I am

Alone.
