Be friends with your neighbor
You never know when you might need their help, or they yours.

Maybe you’ll need to walk your dog with theirs
Maybe one day, they’ll be the reason you and your neighbor become friends.

Maybe you’ll need to borrow some garlic
Or your whole family dinner will go to waste.

Maybe you’ll need them to stand up to a stranger on the street with you
Maybe you’ll call to warn them of a funky smell around their house.

Maybe you’ll bump into them at a random place
A place where you felt unsafe and alone
But seeing them made you feel instantly at home.

On that day, of all days, you’ll feel lucky
You’ll feel lucky that one day, you decided to be friends with your neighbor.
