Misery
I've tried to look past
this misery
but I can't deny
it's been seeded in me
Another day
Another fake smile
I haven't meant any of those
in quite awhile
I love the darkness
It's been ever so kind
in slowly destroying
this heart of mine
Sometimes the sadness takes over
and all I feel is despair
but what is the rain
without a little cold air
There are times
when I'd like to give up
But I find myself
in a colourful strangers hug
I feel the hope
of being happy again
but as quickly as it came
it went
I try to hide
this misery of mine
A misery so overwhelming
a sadness so unkind
The roots of them all
I cannot omit
When summer turns into fall
This flower will wilt
Sitting in the corner
Lonely yet fine
I let misery consume me
and **** me from behind
