I’m sculptured
For one art piece,
She moves for me
As I break plaster
For her,
She is mesmerizing
Like a Picasso’s art.
Nothing I wouldn’t do
For her
It never occurred to me
That someday all
Would suddenly end
Everything I knew
About love suddenly changed
I heard a sound like
Graham crackers snapping
The sounds of my heart
Hitting the earth
The goodbye note was aghast
I was aghast
I was not supposed to be
One of those people
Stumbles into a heartbreak
Because I’m always cautious
How I approached love
Feeling so guilty
Vandalism of the heart
Is for more reckless people
I’m not supposed to be one
I squeezed my eyes
Shut and opened
Hard as I could
Hoping this was a dream
The blood rushed into my brain
As I’m plotting my escape
In this nightmare of a dream
Momentarily
Eyes wide opened
No longer shut
Reality knocked
As loud as it could
In this empty space
I can hear in the midst
of the wind
In a cloudy
far distance
A voice hissing
Echoed against
Every bones in my soul
It’s time to let go
It’s time to move on
In a panicky moment
What seems like infinity
I finally woke up
Into the world I know
With tears on my pillow
And felt the warmness
Of her silky soft skin
Against mine and
Knew at the moment
That a love
Like hers is a forever
Lasting love
Like a fairy tale story
That’ll be forever mine
