Through the eyes of an adult.
Looking down at a child.
You see yourself.

You see the innocence.
You see the best.
You see the one to carry on your heritage.
Through the eyes of an adult.

You hear your laughter.
Which you will be reminded of.
You get the blame too.
When they do things that mirrror you.

You do the self denial.
Cause truth is in the comment.
Through the eyes of an adult.

When they sneak a piece of cake.
And try to  cover it up.
As if it didn't happen.
You see sneak.
Least through the eyes of an adult.

When they deny the obvious.
When you have the evidence.
You break into laughter.
Through the eyes of an adult.

But through it all.
You see love.
Through the eyes of an adult.

Which they feels when you tell them.
