blowing bubbles

for those who dwell in gossip
death will come as a thief in the night
shocking them into reality

city dwellers step outside
a short walk
-and they are strangers

here too our small island

mostly through gossip

having travelled the night
in deep slumber

where the fantastical unwinds

there are sad songs
written by sad folk
