A girl stared at her own figure in the mirror. Her pale face showed no smile, no expression. Her weary eyes looked empty. She felt so heavy yet so **** empty. A man stood behind her, running his fingers through her long hair whilst staring blankly at the girl. She then turned her head towards the man, looking deeply at his glazed eyes. He placed his palm on the girl’s cheek, gently caressing it with his thumb whilst his eyes locked to hers. They were drowning in her own thoughts, their own feelings.

After a long moment of silence, words finally came out from the man’s mouth.
“You ready?” he asked. The girl nodded.

She turned the music up as he turned the lights down low. They slowly reached the bed, and once again, looked at each other’s eyes. They felt their hearts beat faster than ever, but they remained calm. They were nervous, but they knew that this was what they wanted for so long. They knew they were both ready for this.

As their long, silvery, sharp knives stabbed on each other’s chest, they dragged their souls into oblivion, slowly released themselves from the mortal world. Before the girl completely disappeared, she caught a glimpse of the man’s eyes. The man then leaned down toward her face, looking at her eyes deeply. She smiled as she whispered, “welcome to my circo de muerte.

*They’re now gone.
I've written entire novels about you, a soliloquy of my heart.
My logic did not approve, so I have fashioned a new art.
White ink on white paper- for you cannot hate what you cannot see.
It seems my heart has fooled my brain with words it cannot read.
Words do not echo.
Words do not cry.
Words do not,
Identify.

Scrambled and stirred,
Frozen and baked.
Pulled when needed,
Eaten to be fed.

Pieced together,
Black or white,
Laugh or fight,
Wrong or right.

A sound is bound by key,
A picture by color pigments,
Emotions chemically,
But words contain,
Everything,
And absolutely,
Nothing.

The same word
Can be
Completely
Different,
Depending who, what, how
When it was read
Or written.

What if every word,
Was positive in meaning?
Harmless,
Could not
Destroy feelings.

Words have no senses.
Words have no bounds.
No touch, sight, taste, or smell.
Words have no sound.

Words have no sound.
Unless read aloud.
Why did you have to do this?
Your talking turned to screaming and it echoes through my dreams
Feeling like a knight with a rusted sword
it couldn't escape the tears and the blood stains

You know, it was okay when it was between me and you
why did you have to bring my friends in your little game?
Now,I'm a Cinderella with no shoe and no prince to save her

You become a ghost to haunt my nights and my thoughts
and, darling, honestly I couldn't breathe
Don't play dumb to cover you lies, now we're in front of others

Do you think we are just fine?
You live with hallucinations of things I never said or asked
Pretending to be an innocent damsel in distress
do you expect your king, honey?

I don't like making me feel an unreliable captain of sinking ships
where will it get you, this little chess game with no rules?
Now I'm locked in my tower trying to be saved from your knives

Your flames scorch my armour and burn my words
and, love, you are the dragon in my sleep
You spread rumours like that, all you are is mean
Buried rabbit hole, you never knew what was there
a crushed mirror brings bad luck, sorrys won't save you
This is like kindergarten, I'm trying hard to understand
"Why you didn't tell the obvious"

Abandoned playground, you never come to play anymore
a broken swing that can't be fixed, the ropes won't hold you
This isn't fairyland and I'm finding hard to tell you
"Some day the dreamers wake up"

Open book, you never read between the lines
hell is bringing its demons, secrets won't trust you
This is our twenties, I'm trying so hard to laugh
"How I wish I was dead"

*And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had

Saying goodbye
To someone you love
Is like reading the final page
Of an amazing book.

As the last chapter ends
You begin to notice
Just how beautiful
And perfect
The plot always was.

You appreciate the joy
And even the pain
As you read and thumb
Through every page.

Finally understanding
The moral of the story,
You realize you've reached
The end of this journey.

Although the last sentence
Is the most difficult to read
Another great book awaits
Once you turn the final page.

Eventually you may stumble
Upon yet another great find.
Or maybe you'll return
To the book you left behind.

You may just discover
Once all is said and done
That this particular book
Was your favorite story
All along.
For Ty & Des ❤️
The moon shines a cool blue tonight
as we entwine our fingers, laying on the baseball field
beneath diamond heavens. We lie
in silence, in the moments when the Universe reveals
itself, and contemplate the distances between one celestial body to
another, the space between
us growing as I turn south
to find Orion while you seek Cassiopeia in the north.

Shooting stars cross the sky, and we wish separately on dead
stars and dead dreams, lights already grown red and extinguished
as we whisper in the dark, passing
between phases.

And in the end we're all left searching.
