My heart is open, speak Your truth
I’m waiting for Your word
For I know that You’re the only one
Who can heal my every hurt.

My eyes are open, show Your face
I’m waiting for Your love
For I know that You’re the only one
Who can fix my heart up.

Open me, I’m asking You:
Take and break these chains;
Flood my heart with mercy
And blind my eyes with grace.

My hands are open, take Your glory
I was stealing it all for me
But I know that You’re the only one
Who deserves my bended knee.

My mouth is open, take Your praise
I’m tired of praising my own name
For I know that You’re the only one
Who can make that claim.

Open me, I’m asking You:
Take and break these chains;
Flood my heart with mercy
And blind my eyes with grace.
Open me, I know it’s You
Who holds a hurting heart
Drown my soul in Your love
And heal my every scar.
One comfort that I find
Is that when there is no music in my ears,
                                               or in the air,
There is always music
                                     in my heart.
Quenya for 'the music of the heart/mind/soul.'
Poems are indescribable
I believe they have a soul
That spreads throughout the phrases
Inexplicably whole.
He says, "How many trucks will wreck
On that one stinkin' highway?"
"Many more," I said, "and then the world will end
And no more trucks will wreck on that highway."
Walking through imaginary woods
I tripped over a root strangely square
Fell and hit my head on a log
And radically, I'm still there.
My fingers hurt from writing,
My pencil is wearing on me;
I'm tired of constantly scribbling—
I wish I could type everything.
This song has always been in my heart
But now it feels like it is creeping into my soul.
I don't know how long we'll last apart
But someday I'll be part of a whole.
Spectacular is not me
And I may not be “just brilliant”
But in the end, what matters
Is His grace is sufficient.
My oceans froze over
All my skies grew dark
But Your life sparked a fire
And Your hope warmed my heart.
When the rain falls down
And it falls on you
When you have no chance for cover;
When the rain streams down
Dropping on your face
When you’re alone and with no other;

When you feel as though
It came for you
Seeking to bring you sorrow;
You may not see
The truth today
But wait until tomorrow:

Because the rain falls
On everyone
No one is untouched by the drops;
If you hide inside,
You’ll miss the chance
To see where the rainstorm stops.

Where the sky meets the earth
And horizons meet,
That’s where you’ll find me now;
Where the stars rain down
In a glittering scene
And the eye scarcely wonders how

I’m holding onto
The only One
Who knows the rainstormy weather—
If you follow Him
And come with me
We can brave this storm together.
