It's not the big things
But gazing in awe

We, you and I
We are small

I look up in the night
And I see shimmers

You know the last time
Well last time we were together

The stars love
They remind me of your eyes

Hundreds of miles away
I miss you

All humans have similar needs,
We all want to find love,
And we want life to be easier,
No matter the place it’s the same,

This youthful boy such a handsome boy,
He tells me he’s in love,
not with his words,
I do not know French,

Head gently rested against the metros wall,
Gorgeous eyes heavy with anxiety,
Hair combed back with a lite gel,
Lips neutral with intent for her,

I see your emotions,
Though I can speak your tongue,
I know how this boy feels,
I want to reach out to him, help him..

My gaze locks,
And he glances back with calling,
Yet we break eye contact fully,
Indefinitely for sure.

The worry of his face and longing on his heart,
I know his pain I have felt it too my friend with no name that is said,
But this moment is about you and you have my condolences boy,
I know you are going to see her now…

The metro comes to a halt and the boy leave shaking with anxiety now,
He looks to me for the final time,
He smiles knowing we had a conversation that lasted for months,
All in that moment across the metro in Paris, France
This is a true story from my travels.

Distance and time
Such a problem to a mortal
The emotion rare to last
always altered...

In an upset fashion
Not anxious
"Come back to me,
I miss you."

Time and distance
cause such issues
"Come home to me,
I love you."

For once
I am not waiting
No messages to deliver
No calls to be answered

For once
I'm crying
Over a loss
The fact I never had

For once
I hate myself.

You're not of my world
The way you hold yourself shows
Independent and proud
Yet coming off arrogant

In my world it's wrong
The sting of a kiss
The potency of your aroma
IT should not swoon me

I am not of this world
You thrive and grow
Distant from me
I must return to where I, shall be.
