I used to read your poems
but lately you don't write
you're silent and aloof
you know that isn't right.
You can't close a door once opened
you can't abolish all your dreams
you're a poet of the heart
mustn't fall apart at the seams.
Say what you can in words
they speak the message true
spoken from the heart
the poems will see you through.
A hermit's not your style
a recluse, you are not
never give up writing
of things that you've been taught.
I used to read your poems
I'd read them once again
if you would send them out
(this one's from a poet friend)

I try to close my eyes in peace
But my thoughts never cease
It’s been so long
I didn’t recognize the
number on the call.
You asked if I wanted
to catch up, I should’ve
just hung up.
- blocked.
Remembering
how when we
were young,
we were so full
of life
and had
barely lived.

You poured out the gasoline around me
While never losing my eyes
Telling me sweet nothings
Crossing t's and dotting i's

As you leaned in to kiss me

The flames engulfed us
And your lips never reached mine
Catch me I’m

Always on my feet..
Maybe sometimes we expect too much
Just  for a heartbreak!!
Sometimes we expect so much not to get anything in return.... only just pain

We're almost touching.
we were walking side by side,
you're talking about cabs in your hometown.
I can feel the gravity of your hand, calling my fingers
whispering "it's alright."

We're touching but not quite.
you held my shoulder to protect me from the passing cars.
and for the first time in a long while, I felt so fragile.
In this world where I find it hard even to breathe,
you believed me.

I almost said it.
All I need is one ounce of strength to tell you every single thing that I have ever felt about you.

I want to find home in your collarbones.
Would you be kind enough to let a stranger in?
I want to seep in your being because I'm cold.
The world is harsh and my cracks are aching.

Almost.
Please don't ever become a stranger,
whose laugh I can recognize anywhere.

Have you ever liked someone so much you regret meeting them?

A year ago, they said smile more; you'd be prettier.
A month ago, they said straighten your hair; you'll look more kept
A week ago they said put out your incense; it smells funny
Yesterday they said talk more; they'll like you so much better
Tomorrow they'll say, lighten your lip colour, its intimidating
Next week, you'll have to grow your hair long, they said its most desirable
Next month they'll tell you to be more caring; it'll make you a better woman
In a year, they'll say put your light out, it bothers our eyes
Few years from now, I will be an empty vessel filled with others expectations
