We dwell in fear of climate change
And our society prepares for crimes

And if anyone was ever right
The big waves might wring out the worst in us
The wrath of the sun will demand all damaging apocalypse
and the earth may never bear fruit again

But it's the desire to not exist
a tormented raison d'être -
that's what will end us all one day.

Countless lives have thrived
Countless have gone by

But he, who never set foot on a dead man's land
How would he know
How pale mornings can be
How restless evening proves to be

How would he know about
Memories so tasteless
Love hopeless
Train of thoughts broken
Soul lonely & grief-stricken

I have so much to say
About fears and insecurities,
Yet I'd rather scream into the void

I have so much to write
About the stubborn secrets that run so deep,
Yet I'd rather not burden anyone with

As much as it all overwhelms me,
Today, my heart is so empty
Devoid of everything that was ever me
And of that strangely familiar orchestrated harmony.

You have dried off in the sheets of paper
Your looks speak of tiredness in ancient paints
A moment of wonder was enough for you to seek out a place
A place to live
To thrive
To explore
To complete me
I made a choice of letting you dwell
Wished you could get rid of survival hunger
Here we could be together
I let you possess me
Now is it me or is it me?
Who is me? For sure this is not at all we.

We escaped the city of damp faiths
We walked hand in hand
Far away, leaving behind waves of unknown
Something like...
A journey of detached dreams

Vagrant souls, landed somewhere far from home
Where homes don't have lights of their own
Pouring the emotions to the sands sitting under the bright sun
We waited for the dusk, then the night.

Aspirations reached astronomical height
Clear and bright in the dark sky, creating definition.
As though projected by a designed searchlight

We realised before the dawn
Here, happy moments don't feel like a loan

Wishes of the unlived unknowns have unveiled
Promises made, and you and I
We will never, again, become prisoners of lifestyle.

For a while now
I have been visiting the land of newborn grass.
They wouldn't lend me what I came for,
Told me it's yours.

But I met you, my friend.
So beautiful, so strong
So clueless yet so sure.

If you are the believer kind,
Pray to your God that
May I fear less and live more.

Bear with me, I must warn you,
My thoughts are alone.
Traded a thousand for nothing,
With them and the unknown.

Left with nothing but a paper and a pen.
Let's just say,
Lucky are those who can afford to be in tears
Every now and again.
