The hills of music
The loudness
Of Brilliant
Beauty
Her yodeling
reminds
Me of
A
Singing
Scenery
The yodeling
Christens
Heights
The peace
Behind
the mountains
Brings
The solace
Of Many
years
That may bring
Constellations
With wintry stars
Snowing
Soulfully
Fire that's the
The valley
Of many
years
Still a vacancy
For mornings
Signifying the courage
Of braving the cold
Sages
Sit behind
It
For pages
Making mirages
Escaping Souls,
From the gaping
Hole
Of the spiritual note
Come together
Like you and me
Believing inwardly
About our goals
I realized
My feet
Can't be on
Two lands
I can't belong to
Two countries
Oft' valleys
May merge
But one
Mountain will
Always have it's peak
Don't you think
The ball of wool
got smaller and smaller
as it ran across the rug,
reflected upon the untrained eye
it looked just like a bug

The cat was intrigued,
decided to pounce!
but the ball just carried on dancing
and lost another ounce

Getting quite frantic now
it's dancing got faster and faster,
the needles did their work
the scarf got taller
but the ball just got smaller

Spotlighted by sunlight
due to clement weather,
disappearing!
it had reached the end
of it's tether.
What made you
Like you are?
Any conversation
Always jars

You can be so mean.
Calling others = low self esteem

To think I could be your friend

Instead of this

Something real

Not
Pretend.
We
were
strangers
for far to long,

We
had ears
for the same song,

We
weren't sure
what was right,
but we knew what was wrong,

Good to know a place
to belong.
Do you get caught off guard by life
As if it were a dream-
A fleeting moment-
Caught off guard in motion
Caught off guard by the poetry
That pours out of you
Involuntarily and incessantly?

Like when your pressure blocked ear
Suddenly opens and you realize
You are finally truly hearing for the
Very first time

Your closely watched soul
Suddenly sees the light unguarded by you
And fearlessly
It embraces life

I was caught off guard by you
In that moment of total vulnerability
Undefended by fear
And was conquered unconditionally
Forever by the thoughtless love
Another brief thunder before another calm.
I have been taking a course on War and Peace with Julia Zarankin and during our class discussions, a point was made that woke up a notion in my mind, it was said that "[the characters] don't truly live unless they do so involuntarily" I don't remember it being said in class, but I felt as if they were caught off by life, and I felt as if I have always lived this way.
Always caught off guard by everything, life, poetry, or love.

And yesterday, after coming out of the lift, and going for a short walk, it wasn't until I suddenly felt my ears open up and hearing everything anew so sharply that I realize that my ears were blocked in the first place.
I felt the same way finding love when I finally forgot to look for it and felt everything anew so profoundly. All my joy, my longing, my pain.
Let's love a while beneath the trees
Our bodies cooled by summer breeze
let inhibitions turn to dust
our hearts aflame with molten lust

Place kisses on white linen skin
embrace this moment, breathe me in
pray silently as we begin
for you will be my only sin

Come to me now with lovers fire
and be my only true desire
as passion opens bounties fair
laid out before you, quaking, bare.

Then enter slowly, if you will
as though all time is standing still
when morning rises, say my name
For we will not be here again.
Could you love me for a while
upon a summers day
We'll drift the seas in paper boats
and kiss the time away

Could you love me come the fall
where hues of russet play
We'll kiss among the falling leaves
then in your arms I'd stay

In winter will you love me still?
amongst the ice and snow
a thousand twinkling fairy lights
will hold us in their glow

And when the spring she comes around
and blossoms are in bloom
will you pick some daffodils
and lay them at my tomb.

For I must leave you now my love
for heavens distant shore
but I will hold your heart in mine
until we meet once more
