i’ll say it again. this is the only time i write with music. listen now and i’ll spin the wheel again, an ocean is no excuse for a tipped balance. trace origins back to சாதம், வீடு, பறவை. tip-toe to reach the top half of the stove, where the stories and the music are, but hand on head, not quite there yet. in the meantime, i hope my hands become as fire-glazed as yours one day. listen now and i’ll tell you how to live a life in compromises. here, come help me with my சாறி, no, i don’t have flowers for your hair, because there are are two different languages in this house. inhale savory vowels and lives rolled into the sun, exhale தயிர் without salt, a theoretical childhood, heart with half  the guilt. listen now for something i told my அம்மா: travel eight thousand miles by foot and open one eye, make a phone call and taste dew- glittering நெய் தோசை. listen now for a final time. when there are not enough unfurled petals of this world, look up and find the பௌர்ணமி in a hidden corner of your heart. blink once to skip time zones, twice to remember the promise of a thousand locusts and monsoon rain.

Netted on the outside Dreams pass through the inside. The good dreams seep the center, The bad dreams are caught: DO NOT ENTER! The sleeper with eyes shut, Protected by the dreamcatcher And selected by the buy-snatcher, Slumbers in peace When all is at ease Around the dreamcatcher police. Reality is still But the mind is awake And sleep is at stake. Eyes cannot detect What the dreamcatcher does, It only sways in the midst of a glance. But the dreams that pass the glass dividing atmospheric gas Cannot be seen, touched, heard. Dreamcatchers have a radar That no being does. The dreams charge at once! WOOOOSH. Not a dream is heard Caught in the dreamcatcher grid, But the good ones Keep clean the REM zones. Native-American tradition I will surely petition.

Dreamcatcher Rap
I log into the network of my self-esteem, To see the hearts and the wows and the laughs flooding in. A simple 'like' wouldn’t cut it anymore ‘Likes’ were so 2010, even 2010 was bored. ‘Cause that’s the zeitgeist of the age, you see, A tendency to wear hearts on sleeves. Loves and kisses are a dime a dozen, With a million friends and followers double. National debates and social justice petitions, Real crises, distorted renditions. High definition photos of disaster zones Flash up against cat videos on every smart phone. Snapchat filters do not lie, Just tell a story of hours gone by; Selecting the perfect background, the ideal shade To express love on the dozen’th date. But that’s the zeitgeist of the century, A tendency to wear hearts on sleeves. To document in minute detail, with extensive pictorial evidence Clockwork days of humdrum nonchalance. And perhaps the generation that came before Would call it vanity, vainglory, or something more. But it ain’t like they were without their sins, We didn’t invent tabloid columnists. And now that we are at the end, Let me sign off with this request: Like, comment, and share your love Let your heart fall out of your shirt cuff.

A Tendency to Wear Hearts on Sleeves
The lines have become blurred between lawlessness and legal Shot in mid-air, the American Eagle the symbol of our freedom dismantled Big Brother can't handle the fury of Liberty within the mind of the time of those that rise Neighborhoods are war zones each house a prison, overhead are drones So Uncle Sam can listen. We give up our rights for our house and lights Forgetting those who fight the good fight. Patiently we wait at the government gate with a rumbling stomach and an empty plate. Our words are weapons that are kept in line with threats of a fine or prison time Road blocks or baracades, they're both the same So government control can remain. Shooting an American seems routine and daily life, a twisted dream. War is on our doorstep, just outside from Big Brother there is nowhere to hide.

Martial Law
Sleep, sleep, still your breath and just sleep. Sleep through the drum-circle, the neighbour's garden, sleep through the fever, the sentence, and the eventual pardon. Sleep, sleep, blot your eyes and just sleep. Sleep through her hands touching, the solemn submit; sleep through the wastelands, the war-zones, and sleep with the deficit. Sleep, sleep, in the castle keep, sleep. Sleep for the potions, the poisons, the crimes you commit. Too steep is the gangway to an easier life, too far is the leap and too impossible, the wife. Sleep, sleep, still your mind and just sleep. Keep to the sidelines, with intellect deep; fall to sleep in the limelight of your day, for you have earned your rest, you have found your way.

Sleep
You whisper to me so elegantly As you kiss my forehead My head on your chest Falling asleep To the rhythm of your heartbeat "Sweet dreams, my darling..." As our heavy heads hit the pillow We each drift into our own state Of unconsciousness * * * 4,728 miles from each other Time zones which feel as if We are light years apart You are falling asleep, As I am wide awake; Daydreaming The only thing that you can say Through the electric current is: "I will see you in my dreams, my darling..."

I'll See You In My Dreams
Distance Is not just about being miles apart. Distance Can be about Being a road away from each other Yet never having the chance to meet. Distance Is not just about different time zones. Distance Can be about Chatting online everyday But replying with only "yes", "no", or "k". Distance. It hurts more When you're so near Yet so far.

Distance
Is something you called me once. Is it so bad that I thought it was- Adorable as **** I hope it's not, Because that sure would **** We use to be closer, I wish that we still were. But you and I are in- different, time-zones that is. My self confidence has lowered, Since we've become distanced. It's true Thunder Lord, Do you fear my existence? I wonder if you do. While you're up top, Being Scooby-Dooby-Doo! You know I have no clue. I'm gig- gig- giggling so hard, Right now. Who knew that this, Scrub Lord could be such a clown? I guess I knew, somewhere deep down. I feel pretty silly writing all of this now. After all you've labeld me. Which I've done to you as well. But it sure as hell wasn't easy. I wrote this kind of fast. Using memories from, The past. A past that Includes you in the cast. I hope you don't mind me, Spilling all of this out now. I just didn't know how to say- This stuff, it's kind of sacred. Like a cow is to someone who- Believes in Hinduism. Oh man, I feel like I'm crossing some lines, So I'll finish up, just give me time. But it is true, I do miss you. And I wonder, If you miss me to. I don't care about what's happened. Really, it's in the past now. And I don't go there that often. Just when I need to remember something. So tell me ol' Voli? Am I still your Annie? I am being so cheesey. Just say you'll support me. And I promise I'll carry- You.

Orange Peel Sells
Little speckled bird, quirky nerd, owl eyes- gleaming behind the glasses, often you zoom inwards and land in that never never land beyond the reach of most, yet I am in love with your ingeniousness that defies words. bit strange it may sound but I am one who explores the hidden spaces beyond my desired comfort zones. they warn me saying a nerd is a killjoy, nothing else Swimming against the tide I hear your excited chirps inside making me restless with anticipation, my intellectual slant received your approval, many times,I am hopeful growing my beard long I'll wait here, till you return completing your mission.

The nerd and her suitor
Death I see, that ugly spectre, Coarsely overshadows youth. Lame, they look for interaction With the bondman. Shame, forsooth! Drowning in the dams of liars When they could be shining lights! They believe what e’er is told them, ****** in by the TV sights. Culture told them there’s no future, There’s no healing for despair. Bet they never read the Bible – Words of LIFE spelt loud and clear. There’s no need for this attrition Of our children. Give them truth. Let them listen to the old ones – Hard they learned the facts of life. By the power of scripture they have Overcome the skull and bones. Into joy and peace they’re marching. Youth could follow in those zones. Up to them to stop and listen. Perhaps the media got it wrong. Find a person in their nineties, Who survived the wars and so on. They are old because their attitude Enabled them to plunge right in, Boots and all in right perspective, Shake and move, the truth to win. They’ve believed in right and beauty, Principles and sacrifice. Not for them the great self pity Serving death – man-trap device. Rather they’ve bent over backwards To embrace another’s need, And serving, felt the great dynamic LIFE FORCE. Yes. They were a breed!

THE BREED - Mandela, Mother Teresa, et al.
I'm all too used to the touch of your absence.  Your mother's wrath in that time can be a death sentence so tragic.  But when you come back, Demeter returns to her senses expressing light magic. Life springs through the darkness, and flowers race to see who can reach the farthest.  Lovers emerge to nurture their gardens, and soak in sun to thaw out the hearts that hardened.  Birds sing songs highlighting your arrival.  Trees breathe easy seeing what their last set of leaves died for.. Yet when you retreat, mother again takes away her warmth.  The high-flyers no longer soar, and some paths feel too bitter to explore.  Bone-chill zones, a frozen reality stream.  I can't blame anyone for what's a part of me, as we fall into winter's annual dream. Queen of the Underworld, I appreciate your harmony.  Thank you for teaching me to see the depths of my own duality.  Still, I can't help but wonder how existence would be had you not eaten those pomegranate seeds.  In the darkness of winter I want to curse Hades for his greedy need to leach on life through trickery.  Though to curse him I'd be cursing myself and ive had it with the blasphemy.  Besides I too know what it's like to rely on the dead as your only company.  I ride ebbs and flows of loss and hope, but I know your presence promotes healing.  So again I'll remain as the seasons change, taking layers and peeling.  I've found in light and dark we can succeed in setting our bound spirits free.  Communicator of both worlds, I want to Thank and honor you, Persephone~

the tectonic plates in me are shifting as our continents approach collide my ocean is getting closer to the mountains on your landscape tallest grasses blowing in wild demon dance, shaking their heads as heated storm approaches oven-baked air crackling with its own electric currents Nothing can stop it it's a magnetic force one to be reckoned with surrendered to as dust foams like ocean froth around our heads clinging to us in tiny starlit fragments and soon will come the slick dive into wordless waters, just skin on skin slippery mouth muscles like entwined snakes flick-flicking, shiny in eye-lit cherry moons Take my hand. Just pull me in. Enfold me, without talking watch as my aura rushes into you, first a delicate whisk of cool light to slake the thirst of coal-licked caverns then sparks and bubbling oxidation turning into liquid brushfire Hold your palm to my chest, as if to keep my heart steady, my glowing flare of halo pressed into your clavicle, taking in the embryonic beats soothing my torrid ache, infusing minerals in vitamin-laced libation It is time to simply bask in the new crispness of radical shake off the silt and salt and rise up into the spheres of memory of soulspeak of collapsed time zones budded breath spiraling up in curls, diaphanous dark mist ascending into light

It's the lights, the crowd, the fight, the brave, the proud. The two a day practices in pads in the heat without a single cloud. Its the lines, the grass, end zones, and the field. The offense, the defense, The sword and the shield. The heart, the hard work, determination, the glory. The present that will become your kids' bedtime stories. The storm, the during. The euphoria after, The before with the fear, practices and learning. The sacred flag you wear on that helmet, It's your cleats, your pads, and the gloves. The tackles, the picks, the runs, TD's and the hugs. That air that you inhale and the h2O in your cup. That feeling of pride, knowing you'll never give up. Cause you came to do work, and get a taste of that winning heaven, We'll see the conclusion, Bring out your 11.

No name poem about football
Creatures crawl from under the roots of trees and bugs scatter from the pockets of the lost to the cadence of sprinkling rain Silence in the woods of missused life brings out the sounds of wind screaming past the tightened ropes and rusted knives Those who walk through the aokigahara forest hear a symphony of life that persists through the maimed, a festival of tents and people strung up like decorations as if it was meant for a parade Nature reclaimed the unused death of unwanted bodies and the rain drained flesh from bones, simulated hell and suicide is what's found soon after passing the warning signs in red and white marked zones.

Surround me now, LOVE, like linkage From beauty to the belly-button of the beast. Umbelli me here my dear, let me feast My eyes on your whole from the inside out. Your flesh and bone, tan-toned complexion Is ******* with my pheromones. I crave your privacy; forbidden zones Between ticklish toes and feather pillows We'll mingle moments and non-moments of Equal weightless ness. A shared glass of milkwith your lips lingering A lazy-fond sofa-based simmering. A clinging a crumpling of breath accidental Harmony undressed by a simple - YES

Of LOVE
I have been forced, Out of domicile, And now **** bored, With sojourners' world worthwhile. I used to love phones, It's versatility in functioning, Obeying instructions  at all zones, I loved making calls and chatting . That was long ago , When it made me feel at home, Simply chatting could let go , Steam and heartbreak loom. Not now at this century , Where them need airtime to pick  a call, Where successive missed  calls arouse no worry, When they no bother reply at all. I won't lower my self -esteem, Not because of them dissaproval, That I aint  classy and fit for hymn, Its okey if u take me for a mall. Needless fight a loosing battle anymore , You won't torture me again as u laugh, Beaming is me at nirvana jaw, I declare enough is enough.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
Beauty like hers is genius. Not the call Of Homer’s or of Dante’s heart sublime,— Not Michael’s hand furrowing the zones of time,— Is more with compassed mysteries musical; Nay, not in Spring’s or Summer’s sweet footfall More gathered gifts exuberant Life bequeathes Than doth this sovereign face, whose love-spell breathes Even from its shadowed contour on the wall. As many men are poets in their youth, But for one sweet-strung soul the wires prolong Even through all change the indomitable song; So in likewise the envenomed years, whose tooth Rends shallower grace with ruin void of ruth, Upon this beauty’s power shall wreak no wrong.

Rambunctious heart
Winter, winter how we feel your icy touch The earth is now under your freezing clutch All that falls in our ears is the howl of gales from far The night sky is covered in grayness without a single star In the dawn, nowhere can one spot the buzzing bees       Icicles hang from boughs of leafless trees Birds sit with drooping wings in their woody nests       Within eye shot, no trace of any roaming beasts Trees stand sleeping in the biting cold And the sun has lost its bright sheen of gold From nowhere comes the song of a single bird On the slopes, one cannot sight the grazing herd Roof tops are crusted with flakes of snow Which the sun with sharp beams alone can thaw Piles of snow lie heaped on the barren ground And the entire Earth lies in a sea of ice drowned Busy streets and pavements are now lying bare People stay indoors and to be out, they hardly dare       The rodents have gone into hibernation in their ditch And life altogether has gone out of pitch In the smiting chill of a dreadful wintry night When through every fiber n’ nerve is the cold bite How we like to sit cocooned beside the hearth Sipping a cup of steaming tea in rising mirth In such quiet hours, one can peruse into the pages of tomes That will transport one to enchanting magical zones Or engage in a hearty chat with friends and family Thus turning even the bleakest hours sweet and lively

Eternity
You told your whole story I could see it through your eyes I dove into your heart & eradicated your mind I could plant roses beneath the soil inside you - you look at me and wonder could I be the northern star of love an guide you . but I look at you and wonder if- I could hide beneath the blackness in your pupils. your heart was always so warm and you knew mine was cold - from planting my beautiful, ripe rose- in already fertilized soil or complete dead zones I feel like there is something in your soil that I need. but what if you're just like the others - I can't keep planting my rose in different flower beds - my rose is withering my rose is dying but what if my rose grows and blooms inside you I look in your eyes an they say it will - if you let it .
