Life Is A Lesson
On the bank of a rushing brook I sat for hours watching its course. Peered into the clear gurgling mass That cascaded down from a mountainous source Like a slithering snake, it slinks and slips It babbles downhill night and day Rolling and gliding through plains and dales It winds its way to the wider bay. Dipping my fingers in its icy chill How my hand got repelled as from a shock! In its ripples stirred by the kissing breeze, I saw trees, clouds and the jutting rock- All floating in queer, fanciful shapes, Shuddering, trembling and standing still And the fishes leaving zigzag trails, Swishing and swimming in the winding rill. As I quietly watched her speedy flight With her ***** rising in mournful heaves, In my ears fell her whispering soft Orchestrated by the rustle of quivering leaves I hardly knew the time speeding by Nor noticed the birds’ homeward flight Or the Sun moving to the west end side And the Sky reddening at his sight As the brook thus continued her headlong ride To be mingled finally with the ocean wide I walked, brooding over man’s relentless stride To be merged eventually with the Cosmic Guide.

sitting here but not my insides        in a twist my organs blooming, their flower landscapes rising in my solar plexus like poetry expanding its cellular shapes into         light frequencies I need way more. I need the pulling off       and stripping down of souls I need to meet in a depth of falling I need to be pushed off the silent gates of madness into endless sea no looking back senses piqued from slightest brush of oral butter pouring on hot cream my mouth, a searing crimson wound oscillates in contraction radar pulses ripe for intense tongue exploration          aching to be filled up with your distinct flavor My essence molecular is overflowing with fluid giving me life in throbbing, raw electric vibes whipped organic, in                  rolling tides Somewhere, out there                   our volcanic impulses                           meet in steamy ebbs                      and send energyflow to a new and ancient universe, magnetic and I am a raging heaven's child       wrapped in            a tight little               tourniquet      blood pumping through these veins              my longing for                  dark stretches    of intimate caresses to soothe   the spikes       of snaking pain Give me those airwaves that let me breathe freedom into the fields of our skin Let me run like wild herds of the animal within and as I find myself hanging off my       own   edges my many-braided loops          in zigzag split, a-fray my skin rips open, parting fibers that expose my very       DNA helix swivel      undulation hips grinding into                      soul reaching in to pull out fresh rebirth from between my folds O help me to allay this tender affliction undo me, already so I lose control one little shove and I am over the cliff deep into ocean **** over spliff I am beyond ready so grind it to the hilt Give me your tender-ripped heart, spill your honeycomb milk I am here, ravenous in the pan uncooked yet ripe saliva and breath steaming my own innards flushing out strife I am piquant hot pepper ready to be broiled my blood is already                              boiling my tender meat oiled mull me over in your oral cavity like sacred wine until I drip through your bones and down your spine Just meld with me                         and flow into that light tunnel of dark time and space so I can stake out my rhythms and claim       my new sacred       place

Midway upon the journey of life I found myself riding zigzag down dark streets, for there was no straight way through that teeming urban grid. Thus I travelled deeper into the night, while rosary beads swung hypnotic from the mirror, reflecting the revenant eyes of one raised by an invisible hand from salt water rocks where as a boy, he said, he should have died. Deftly navigating changing lights of amber, red, and green, he humbly inquired after my beliefs and the state of my soul. As to this I could not say, so I drew it out and held it gingerly by the rough edges, examining as best I might in that dim backseat its wrinkles, creases, and scars. In the reflection he saw all these clearly, and with gentle resonance spoke of things impossible to know, less difficult to believe, and blessed me so that on passing out the door I found my soul again soft and warm.

Don’t put up my Thread and Needle
it's not the large things that send a man to the madhouse a woman, a tire that's flat, a disease, a desire: fears in front of you, fears that hold so still you can study them like pieces on a chessboard... it's not the large things that send a man to the madhouse. death he's ready for, or ****** ****** robbery, fire, flood... no, it's the continuing series of small tragedies that send a man to the madhouse... not the death of his love but a shoelace that snaps with no time left ... The dread of life is that swarm of trivialities that can **** quicker than cancer and which are always there - license plates or taxes or expired driver's license, or hiring or firing, doing it or having it done to you, or roaches or flies or a broken hook on a screen, or out of gas or too much gas, the sink's stopped-up, the landlord's drunk, the president doesn't care and the governor's crazy. light switch broken, mattress like a porcupine; $105 for a tune-up, carburetor and fuel pump at sears roebuck; and the phone bill's up and the, market's down and the toilet chain is broken, and the light has burned out - the hall light, the front light, the back light, the inner light; it's darker than hell and twice as expensive. then there's always ***** and ingrown toenails and people who insist they're your friends; there's always that and worse; leaky faucet, Christ and Christmas; blue salami, 9 day rains, 50 cent avocados and purple liverwurst. or making it as a waitress at norm's on the split shift, or as an emptier of bedpans, or as a car wash or a busboy or a stealer of old lady's purses leaving them screaming on the sidewalks with broken arms at the age of 80. suddenly 2 red lights in your rear view mirror and blood in your underwear; toothache, and $979 for a bridge $300 for a gold tooth, and China and Russia and America, and long hair and short hair and no hair, and beards and no faces, and plenty of zigzag but no *** except maybe one to **** in and the other one around your gut. with each broken shoelace out of one hundred broken shoelaces, one man, one woman, one thing enters a madhouse. so be careful when you bend over.

Chaos humdrum of roaring engines. The lost siren between concrete slabs Ricocheting its scream throughout the hallway streets, already echoing with horns and yells. Sleepless and ever burning, the city lurches on in agonizing sounds muffled between high rise pristine glass and shanty shacks painted with dust. The frantic commotion of agonized madness, In zigzag traffic and potholed roads. The stop and start of hustle and frustration Rises and falls like a dancing dust storm. Everything present in a quieter world is lost in the struggle of city life. There's no peace or silence here. Just constant exhaustion in the luminescent roar of human chaos. 26 Dec. 2015

City Chaos
Evening was in the wood, louring with storm. A time of drought had ****** the weedy pool And baked the channels; birds had done with song. Thirst was a dream of fountains in the moon, Or willow-music blown across the water Leisurely sliding on by weir and mill. Uneasy was the man who wandered, brooding, His face a little whiter than the dusk. A drone of sultry wings flicker'd in his head. The end of sunset burning thro' the boughs Died in a smear of red; exhausted hours Cumber'd, and ugly sorrows hemmed him in. He thought: 'Somewhere there's thunder,' as he strove To shake off dread; he dared not look behind him, But stood, the sweat of horror on his face. He blunder'd down a path, trampling on thistles, In sudden race to leave the ghostly trees. And: 'Soon I'll be in open fields,' he thought, And half remembered starlight on the meadows, Scent of mown grass and voices of tired men, Fading along the field-paths; home and sleep And cool-swept upland spaces, whispering leaves, And far off the long churring night-jar's note. But something in the wood, trying to daunt him, Led him confused in circles through the thicket. He was forgetting his old wretched folly, And freedom was his need; his throat was choking. Barbed brambles gripped and clawed him round his legs, And he floundered over snags and hidden stumps. Mumbling: 'I will get out! I must get out!' Butting and thrusting up the baffling gloom, Pausing to listen in a space 'twixt thorns, He peers around with peering, frantic eyes. An evil creature in the twilight looping, Flapped blindly in his face. Beating it off, He screeched in terror, and straightway something clambered Heavily from an oak, and dropped, bent double, To shamble at him zigzag, squat and ******* Headlong he charges down the wood, and falls With roaring brain--agony--the snap't spark-- And blots of green and purple in his eyes. Then the slow fingers groping on his neck, And at his heart the strangling clasp of death.

Light drunkenly reels into shadow; Blurs, slurs uneasily; Slides off the eyeballs: The segments shatter. Tree-branches cut arc-light in ragged Fluttering wet strips. The cup of the sky-sign is filled too full; It slushes wine over. The street-lamps dance a tarentella And zigzag down the street: They lift and fly away In a wind of lights.

Take away your knowledge, Doktor. It doesn't butter me up. You say my heart is sick unto. You ought to have more respect! you with the goo on the suction cup. You with your wires and electrodes fastened at my ankle and wrist, ******* up the biological breast. You with your zigzag machine playing like the stock market up and down. Give me the Phi Beta key you always twirl and I will make a gold crown for my molar. I will take a slug if you please and make myself a perfectly good appendix. Give me a fingernail for an eyeglass. The world was milky all along. I will take an iron and press out my slipped disk until it is flat. But take away my mother's carcinoma for I have only one cup of fetus tears. Take away my father's cerebral hemorrhage for I have only a jigger of blood in my hand. Take away my sister's broken neck for I have only my schoolroom ruler for a cure. Is there such a device for my heart? I have only a gimmick called magic fingers. Let me dilate like a bad debt. Here is a sponge. I can squeeze it myself. O heart, tobacco red heart, beat like a rock guitar. I am at the ship's prow. I am no longer the suicide with her raft and paddle. Herr Doktor! I'll no longer die to spite you, you wallowing seasick grounded man.

driving at Kennon (treacherous zigzag    resembles hopscotch with death) as i play Morrissey on the radio and the woman sleeps, sometimes waking up lamenting the death of moths I ran over, splattered on the windshield, "Poor little creatures!" she said. no, baby, i am the poor little creature and so are you,     relentless against the dark   past Urdaneta — her being mineward, i play with death as i turn the headlamps off (pure blackness, nothing as if falling into a bottomless pit as void sits on its throne waiting) and on (all white as pains   now, trucks flare up and down the bend,   the tumbled boulders keep meting out    some forceful way of disturbances,   our collapse, the afterthought of it all) i sensed from the beginning that the old moon will wade out and soon the sun will throw dissipated shades all across camps with bonfires dead and stilled. at the height of all, it becomes so hot that the birds leave the trees together with the flowers and the Cordillera cannot cry any longer. my woman wakes up as if rattled with different pains, her face floating past the mountains dreaming at the verge of birds in the morning— and it is twilight and still the same birds, now it is the night and you cannot see the birds anymore, neither a hint nor a trail of where they have disappeared like the glory of Rizal in Luneta. the lightsome globules in Paris. the lions of Manila, now a town full of cowards as alleys fill with ****** the kids laying flat on their bellies as the lawn takes its revenge on the rest of the surrounding,             beheading the tree, and the        birds fly farther and away.

driving at Kennon (treacherous zigzag    resembles hopscotch with death) as i play Morrissey on the radio and the woman sleeps, sometimes waking up lamenting the death of moths I ran over, splattered on the windshield, "Poor little creatures!" she said. no, baby, i am the poor little creature and so are you,     relentless against the dark   past Urdaneta — her being mineward, i play with death as i turn the headlamps off (pure blackness, nothing as if falling into a bottomless pit as void sits on its throne waiting) and on (all white as pains   now, trucks flare up and down the bend,   the tumbled boulders keep meting out    some forceful way of disturbances,   our collapse, the afterthought of it all) i sensed from the beginning that the old moon will wade out and soon the sun will throw dissipated shades all across camps with bonfires dead and stilled. at the height of all, it becomes so hot that the birds leave the trees together with the flowers and the Cordillera cannot cry any longer. my woman wakes up as if rattled with different pains, her face floating past the mountains dreaming at the verge of birds in the morning— and it is twilight and still the same birds, now it is the night and you cannot see the birds anymore, neither a hint nor a trail of where they have disappeared like the glory of Rizal in Luneta. the lightsome globules in Paris. the lions of Manila, now a town full of cowards as alleys fill with ****** the kids laying flat on their bellies as the lawn takes its revenge on the rest of the surrounding,             beheading the tree, and the        birds fly farther and away.

pistachio nuts - or the clams of the the forest, not among the helter skelter birch tree scouting and marking territory, but among the aged oaks and pristine scents of pines among the fallen pine needles in zigzag promenade - indeed pistachio nuts like shellfish, slightly opened ergo healthy - clams or mussels, once opened then healthy for the palette - still a bewilderment to care with a hydrochloric acid cauldron that the stomach is - that's the prior bewilderment, the other being this madonna-whore complex that Anaïs Nin represents - i've eaten a prostitute's *** (her own anatomical definition) - indeed smothered in creams to ease a professional approach to a lack of relationship stimulation - science says that eating the female *** is like downing a range of antibiotics - i can imagine - why is she suddenly this hailed saint of scissors applied to a middle-class straitjacket? what the hell is going on? ah... i know, the longer a feeble secret is allowed to ferment, it goes from being vinegar to being wine to being a fruity ***** - well shiver me timbers! ever walk into a brothel with 7 prostitutes waiting their bus for £110 an hour and not feel intimidated asking for a glass of water? i have... they eye you like hyenas, a true spirit of solidarity that feminism forgot, 7 prostitutes eyeing you, then you say 'can one of your pick me?' The Hebrew King David sings it once everyone tunes in as if he stopped the time it's a song sang in every mother tongue! It's a sea of tunes flows on the shore of the body outpours and dances fashioning in both science and art waxes through every vein and reaches out to the heart. Folks love to take a dip in this same mellifluent cloud but it's as varied as all the different mother tongues, the one rhymes with all floats across the world. Over all the different rivers that may zigzag It knows the way because from the ocean they all come.

A Song Sang In All The Mother Tongues
Atomized eloquence of the ocean, heard only by those few  who cared, i felt, wanted to tell many things, to me so expected a knock at the door of my mind. Waited. But it didn't.                 She stood near  me oblivious                 of this in her happiness. *Life is driven by false notions, corrected by experiences Unsaid words.Scattered things.Do not get astonished.* Waves brought, decomposed sea weeds and wriggling fish,  sliding against each other I smelled *** We were watching waves. 'Savage' do I have to answer to that? ( sudden exclamation, betwixt silent ********** The waves tickled our naked feet, she was happy like a girl on a date first time ever.Excited beyond limits, passion of every woman  on being in  water. 'insatiable urge'- a soft voice exclaimed, (in a room, light gently penetrating in to darkness I eased my weight against her body) Shells and bones, I was thinking, and saw them in my mind, lying scattered under shifting sands One  never is fully aware.Though one knows. Bones reminder, at last of all that love and hate, Flesh, completely dissolved, went back to elements. Sea is like us, men and women hides so much.Listen and look around, you will see signs! 'You look like a hermit' she said by way of compliment. Love is the gleam in her eyes.Evident. "Is it my shaggy beard? I am a lecher.Even worse" i whisper in to her ear, She took it as a joke, laughs like the waves, that go zigzag, for a while. Yes life, when you look, after the peeling of wraps, supposed to be  serious stuff ends up as joke, obscene gleam of of white bones, laughter of white teeth on a naked skull. Like the avarice of the  never ending waves signifying nothing in particular. I was ********** her in my mind, in water, she  vaguely reminded a water nymph, stood with hands on both hips as if she understood my shameful plot, Her drenched dress stuck to her curves.Lubricious. Slightly plump, with lithe limbs, i get a vision of her, squeezing me tight, in a brutal embrace, at the precise instant, the waves of ****** strike. Waves withdraw, naked sand bars look like dead whales under it lies scattered bones.               O

2 am Land, luggage, end reality. Bad weather means delayed flight, glued in tonight still, adventure beckons from glass pane separating airport and New York City; Our escape. 5 hours till next flight. Sheer immensity of silver obelisks, so cleanly cut edges like razorblades, have grasped our curiosity, slicing binding adhesive of bad weather, anchoring our release into the cold mist. We wander beyond our time limit. Bright, despite night. City never sleeps, still peaceful on the other side of day. Making way street by street, exploring what we can while we can. The amount of exploring one gets done with a time limit. 4 hours Alleyways, streets, parallel zigzag back and forth up and down. Some lit, others bleeding darkness, over pouring with lost souls. With a clouded sense of direction, one tends to find lost at every corner. 3 hours Like bugs at night, we stick to the light. We strive to make it back before our time is up. Nervousness settles in as sight seeing becomes partial. New objective, return to airport. Mental maps being yelled back and forth. Still nobody knows which is right. 2 hours left. Familiar street or frame of block, memory shoots through mind like lightning arcing through the sky providing the route back to salvation. The Scarlet Speedster known as The Flash has never known speed comparable to my brothers and I nervously rushing back to JFK. With our last hour we check in our baggage and board our plane. Though not our destination, it would be pointless to pass up the late night delicacies of New York City.

They teach us how to draw lines In the beginning of our childhood, but We turn these pretty lines into puzzles and Into zigzag lines anytime ... Lines are like squares and circles ,but They are still not shaped ... We shape lines differently turning them Into all kinds of shapes Simply because we want to make Different worlds that don't like our worlds ... We ,as adults, draw lines and shapes that Suit everyone of us' world ... Our intentions draw our life's lines ,but With our own hands ... Our lines might bad or they might be bad Depending on our intentions ... We have all colorful lines Starting from the rainbow's colors and they never end ... Everyday we draw our lines Openly and secretly ... There are those red lines that some people dare To cross anytime and There are those wars' lines that we all draw anytime ... Where are those of any peace's lines ?! All of our life is full of many lines ,but It depends ... Lines can straight lines or zigzag lines ,but Our minds' lines are vague and difficult ... We draw our lines with Our hands anytime, anywhere, and everywhere ... We are inevitably the good-doers and Some of us are the evil-doers ... _______________________________________________________________

Lines
there is a long pink road lime trees walk its path in judgement twists of dazzling colors zigzag through unclaimed silences coaxing a belief in magic dismantling and reassembling minds i remove one eyelid then the other there is an immediate diaphanous color of red a flimsy dimness that shows an escape route out of time displaying the fragmented mosaic of my disordered mind scarlet watches me searching my face trying to seek out a geography yet to be discovered i feel an overexposed rhythm of alpha spirals they collide with the colors among the lime trees a coca-cola bottle smashes somewhere I hear the secret song played in the time of the assassins

Zigzag the stitch and rub a little jelly rickshaw fresh mama to baby turnstile linen and swaddle good times soon to follow simulcast the charged circumstance mother, verdant mother, vessel mother, hollow forecast past the sleepless and bloodless fixate on first steps, first days, first sorrows dumbfounded fully by where it all started adulthood summoned by a little ****** and folly.
