Everyone always asks What's your idea of paradise? Paradise isn't white sand and blue water Or warm weather and palm trees Paradise is driving 10 miles over the speed limit And eating Mcdonalds Paradise is buying jalepeños And listening to Nickelback It's not mountains and snow Or the sound of rain Paradise is falling asleep on skype And saying waka waka Paradise is cuddling on bean bags And asking "what colors this?" I don't want your paradise Because mine is perfect

Neener, neener, neener Your daddy is a wiener A peener, a geener A ***** magaziner. Nanny, nanny boo boo Stick your head in doo doo Your granny has got put in jail For practicing at voodoo. Olly Olly Oxen Fee I see you, you can’t see me. I am smart, you are not. Just how stupid can you be? Waka, waka, waka You look like an alpaca Your mama should have taken you And stuffed you in a locker. Zimmy, zimmy, zim Your luck is getting slim. Bad Luck Billy says you’re You’re almost bad as him. Hardy hardy har You think you are a star But an extra in a walk-on role Is what you really are. Clunkety clunk clunk Your dreamboat has sunk You think you smell like roses But it’s more like a skunk. Sniggley, sniggley snurt The truth is bound to hurt You invested in yourself And then you lost your shirt.

perfect sunny day-- insects  sing   so    loud! as i surf the web pond water-- my hair dries as i click, getting hot again One summer years ago, at my childhood home, in a nudist colony whose so-called 'co-founding' is my family's only legacy--perhaps right before my grandmother had passed, or when my father's prostate was scheduled to be removed and he thought it best to hire someone for a last-minute memory (despite his sex-negative crutch-christianity, just in case the operation cost him his jive)--i googled, 'prostitute,' while looking for **** and the atrocity i found took all of a second to challenge my complacent illusion that i could remain separate or disconnected from the global oppression of women and girls while i consumed the products (i.e., fantasized about having *** with and/or 'making love' to simulacra-women; masturbated to pictures of them) of an industry whose widespread lack of any substantial commitment to fairness, safety, legal recourse and work-place equality has contributed to a new generational acceptance of the ancient memes that perpetuate bigotry: dismembered girl on an open body-bag-- why does this exist?? the insects clacking, droning in the grass-- summer can't hide death her hip bones' marrow showing, young prostitute's corpse-- limbless her legs gone-- the image chokes me from speaking my sisters, too young to tell-- who do i tell? why should i tell? i read she'd run from her **** they put her in the river. young girl, her blood still-- i can't feel my heartbeat young woman, her torso bare-- unfeeling stumps young woman, her legs gone, skin gray from the river young woman, your legs gone-- i choke  on words .

To a Daughter More Precious than Gems by Otomo no Sakanoue no Iratsume (c. 700-750) loose translation/interpretation by Michael R. Burch Heaven's cold dew has fallen and thus another season arrives. Oh, my child living so far away, do you pine for me as I do for you? I have trusted my jewel to the gem-guard; now there's nothing to do, my pillow, but for the two of us to sleep together! I cherished you, my darling, as the Sea God his treasury's pearls. But you are pledged to your husband (such is the way of the world) and torn from me like a blossom. I left you for faraway Koshi; since then your lovely eyebrows curving like distant waves ever linger in my eyes. My heart is as unsteady as a rocking boat; besieged by such longing I weaken with age and come close to breaking. If I could have prophesied such longing, I would have stayed with you, gazing on you constantly as into a shining mirror. I gaze out over the fields of Tadaka seeing the cranes that cry there incessantly: such is my longing for you. Oh my child, who loved me so helplessly like bird hovering over shallow river rapids! Dear child, my daughter, who stood sadly pensive by the gate, even though I was leaving for a friendly estate, I think of you day and night and my body has become thin, my sleeves tear-stained with weeping. If I must long for you so wretchedly, how can I remain these many months here at this dismal old farm? Because you ache for me so intently, your sad thoughts all confused like the disheveled tangles of your morning hair, I see you, dear child, in my dreams. Otomo no Sakanoue no Iratsume (c. 700-750) was an important ancient Japanese poet. She had 79 poems in Manyoshu ("Collection of Ten Thousand Leaves"), the first major anthology of classical Japanese poetry, mostly waka. The compiler of the anthology was Otomo no Yakamochi (c. 718-785). Otomo no Sakanoue no Iratsume was his aunt, tutor and poetic mentor. In the first stanza, Lady Otomo has left her children in Nara, possibly to visit her brother. In the second stanza, it is believed that the jewel is Lady Otomo's daughter and that she has been trusted to the care of her husband. As for the closing stanza, according to the notes of the Manyoshu, it was popularly believed that a person would appear in the dreams of the one for whom ***** yearned. Half-asleep on my lap, embraced against me The dim light of a soft box paints your face Formulating the perfect pose Preserving the unspeakable beauty in my arms Silence. Except for the constant clicking of the camera A few flashes and wham your eyes open, a shred too wide, too curious And you smile your best I wrap myself around you Three clicks happen real quick My smile mirrored in yours Pictures of us together Glimpses of real love caught in the moment Mine. Yours. Pure and true Perfectly happy Then you go waka waka on the giant bean bag Sprawling around, contouring its shape, expelling your body in all directions I holler your name from the top of my lungs You respond with a scream displaying two pearly whites and a hint of bare gums As the breeze cools your skin, you splash into the inflatable pool Rubber fishies swim along, you dunk them one by one Soapy bubbles blown in the air circle around you, gleaming in the sunshine, revealing your face and burst with a pop Still unable to sit unassisted, bam you fall into the water My heart escapes my chest There is water dripping all over you I comfort you and brush hair away from your eyes But I wasn't quite finished yet You curl up in the fuzzy charms of a teddy A new found hero in the making My darling then arrives as a prince entering his humble kingdom I fall in love with you all over again at the first glimpse Bitter, reserved, aggressive, brisk, fresh, strong, assorted moments I said one last photo The softness of your young skin glowed in a playland of toys I sit, stare and sigh at how delightful you look Capturing candid photos of your innocence at play The evening was getting tired, you drifted back to sleep It wasn't easy as one would think I saw you coming from the start I rewind the times in my heart A whole world of just you and I I want it to be more than just a memory A reminder of the road taken Here I am, taking in every bit of you and smiling because I know you are all mine

blank Friday
Keep moving forward through all the twists and turns, and avoid the ghosts that haunt you until you have the strength and power to confront them head on. Life is a maze, but there will always be a place for you and you will never be lost. Keep moving forward, sometimes backwards and side to side, as even Pac Man had a soul mate.

Waka Waka
To the Māori the Milky Way is the waka (canoe) of Tama-rereti. The front and back of the canoe are Orion and Scorpius, while the Southern Cross and the Pointers are the anchor and rope. According to legend, when Tama-rereti took his canoe out onto a lake, he found himself far from home as night was falling. There were no stars at this time and in the darkness the Taniwha would attack and eat people. So Tama-rereti sailed his canoe along the river that emptied into the heavens (to cause rain) and scattered shiny pebbles from the lake shore into the sky. The sky god, Ranginui, was pleased by this action and placed the canoe into the sky as a reminder of how the stars were made. The slight bulge of the Milky Way around Scorpius is also sometimes pictured as a whale. The Kaurna Aboriginal People of the Adelaide Plains in South Australia see the band of the Milky Way as a river in the skyworld. They called it Wodliparri (wodli = hut, house, parri = river) and believe that positioned along the river are a number of dwellings. In addition, the dark patches mark the dwelling place of a dangerous creature known as a yura; the Kaurna call these patches Yurakauwe, which literally means "monster water." Moreover, Aboriginal Groups from the Cape York region of Queensland see the band of light as termites that had been blown into the sky by the ancestral hero Burbuk Boon. Further south the band of stars that comprise the Milky Way are seen as thousands of flying foxes carrying away a dancer known as Purupriggie. In addition, the Aranda who come from central Australia see the band of the Milky Way as a river or creek in the skyworld. This stellar river separates the two great camps of the Aranda and Luritja People. The stars to the east of this river represent the camps of the Aranda and the stars to the west represent Luritja encampments and some stars closer to the band represent a mixture of both.
