"uprightness" poems
Just the other day, I would never have thought that it can be done. Couldn't believe that it is possible. Never imagined I would come out victorious with my dignity not messed up. How can this be done for the sake of posterity. With enthusiasm we can do wonders. Positiveness is vital to propel you to the miraculous. It can generate you and powerfully send you to a spiritual high. Anyone who has not experienced the darkness will never appreciate the light. You will never know the beauty of heaven until you pass through hell to overcome evil. Enlightened mind is a determined one and can't be stopped by the frivolous feelings of the weak mind. Uprightness must be a priority in its dealing with the worldly things. Separated from the crowed, he becomes more in tuned with the divine and the fantastic. Trusted with the fabulous, the mind is tested for strength of purpose to be fully accepted. No weakness is tolerated for the inner beauty of man is made visible by the power beyond the ordinary. The innate power within man is called forth at a time such as this. ©2018,Emeka Mokeme. All Rights Reserved.

Untitled
She is the stained girl,  a diffident dreamer Who looks for the sun and the rain together Her  panache is to craft blissful memories Festooned with vivid thoughts, her accessories She is the stained girl,  a feeble believer Who relies on a happy ever after Yet scared to be seen from her cheerful facade, Something that would charge her of being a fraud She saunters in the midst of the piqued storms Resounding the hues of the jaundiced norms Like a bird highlighted with vibrant plumes To fly around the walls of perplexing rooms She wears the best maquillage, old and new To make everyone away from being blue She offers her hair, those gilded strands Yet they exploit her gift with their vicious hands She is the stained girl who seeks for uprightness Yet pain has shaped her with creased faithfulness In front of a looking glass, there I see That magnificent, stained girl looks like me.

The Stained Girl
Your jagged smile struck my heart, Took sweet thoughts and turned them **** Your smoky brown eyes chilled me to the bone, You took away my frigidity that made me alone. You dug your virtue underneath my skin, I tried to get away but the uprightness already leaked in. It turned my soul new and rebuilt my mind, Happiness and hope was soon all I could find. Drown me in your sublime toxicity. Drinking in your fresh authenticity. Eeverything you do, truthfully In a world full of lies you're the truth to me. You're lips touched mine, such a bittersweet taste, Covering my mouth in a toxic paste, The poison rushed in, like rain from above, I was injected with a dose of murky love.

Quality has more significance than quantity Which would you rather choose? A friend who won't leave you till the end Or a bunch, talking behind your back as long as they can A lover which values the word commitment Or the hoes which pop-ups for the pennies you gave them Trillions of money which makes you greedy, wanting more Or a hundred dollar which can help the homeless knocking on your door 30 years of life full of happiness and contentment Or a hundred though it's filled with chaos and resentment A prayer from a child filled with uprightness and integrity Will always be better than a politician creating lists of lies and anomaly

My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee: 2 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; 3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; 4 If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; 5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. 6 For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. 7 He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. 8 He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints. 9 Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path. 10 When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; 11 Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee: 12 To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things; 13 Who leave the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness; 14 Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked; 15 Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths: 16 To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words; 17 Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God. 18 For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead. 19 None that go onto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life. 20 That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous. 21 For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it. 22 But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.

Love's Evolution by Michael R. Burch Love among the infinitesimal flotillas of amoebas is a dance of transient appendages, wild sails that gather in warm brine and then express one headstream as two small, divergent wakes. Minuscule voyage―love! Upon false feet, the pseudopods of uprightness, we creep toward self-immolation: two nee one. We cannot photosynthesize the sun, and so we love in darkness, till we come at last to understand: man’s spineless heart is alien to any land. We part to single cells; we rise on buoyant tears, amoeba-light, to breathe new atmospheres ... and still we sink. The night is full of stars we cannot grasp, though all the World is ours. Have we such cells within us, bent on love to ever-changingness, so that to part is not to be the same, or even one? Is love our evolution, or a scream against the thought of separateness―a cry of strangled recognition? Love, or die, or love and die a little. Hopeful death! Come scale these cliffs, lie changing, share this breath. Love's Evolution
Never had I seen such beauty like yours, Such a worthwhile smile that shapes me like a file. Never had I seen such wit as yours, Such a rightful judge to the cruel misrule. Never had I seen such persona, with playfulness, reasonableness, uprightness, and inquisitiveness. Never had I seen perfection, the quintessential condensation of all great characterization, in balance with my imperfection. Yet it is only wise to appreciate you with my eyes, as my body is apprehended by the past, the future, the time, and the agony. The life I've experienced has taught me that love is futile, served with sadness and unhappiness and dolefulness with a side of temporary blissfulness. The idea of success impedes me from obtaining happiness, from settling for ‘less’ and portray a smile nevertheless. Warped by expectation, limitation, and exploitation, time isn't sufficient to provide you with my fixation, affectation, and ministration. Sustainability I cannot devise for when I witness your brown eyes, brown like earth, which with the kiss of rain and the seed of love can allow the flourish of life and euphoria never dreamed of. My heart accelerates uncontrollably, approaching me to a heart attack of which I'm never coming back. I suffocate as you leave me breathless, yet you suppress my stress and hopelessness. I so wish to warm your hand while wrapping around your arm. I so wish to embrace you in my arms and promise you safety for eternity. I so wish to feel your lips and your hips, never letting go until the last grasp of my fingertips. I so wish to stare at the stars to your side, while I admire your eyes, hoping that our love never dies. But being with you is an impossibility, in addition to an atrocity. Separated by time, a history, and personalities, war would form and never end in peace, For my peasantry doesn't deserve your royalty, For my filthiness shan't nudge your pureness, For my darkness can't cohere with your brightness. I'd be put to trial for the exile of your smile, the most intact of the wonders of the world that would now be purled. I wish I could love you but never will I deserve you, Never will we be together, for we would be an incompatible tether. I wish I could be with you but it is true that we are through, Never shall our past be repeated, for it won't be greeted, but rather maltreated. I wish I could but I've understood from our childhood where I stood and where I stand, Never will I know, if I were… with you, know where it would lead to.

In its immensurate clarity, In its elongation of whatever time is left to my uprightness; that thrice divided second before you make the first incision Balloons and collapses upon my space, in my air. Concussed, winded: I  should dig in to counter the character dissection, to appeal with all ire against this clinical dismissal and if necessary I will make myself aged and rage grey, a ghost of one last furious effort. Two weakening supply lines open up from my heart and twist like lovers throttling one another for the right to carry the thickest blood and tonic to my left-right-left brain. I see both outcomes as unreal orbs in each palm: Fought, but foundered, I could go in lunar were-peace towards the rough hewn exit I saw you cut through the nearest physical plane for me. It has splintered, like young wood does, in a bunch of feather and spike. But if I just sit down here instead, let you flay me from a distance and have trial and have done? Then pack my deserved wounds with dirt and paint me justly black. My reeking cowardice, to match your triumph. It is an unnatural horror to fight you, to choose between prompt defeats or the slow-burn aggregate loss of small and token victories. With less life to live and more to chip away at, I begin to just eke. There is no shortcut, no revelation in user experience that floors the bad design leaving me wanting. There is no way to win at you. You are Dependable terror. I just eke.
