That girl held dearly,
Soon crawling  in the yard;
Eating grasshoppers like Einstein,
Might change our world.

That boy slurping soup
With no thought of seasoning,
Spooning ferociously.
He'd pass Edison's test of reasoning.

Your teen may dwell on video screens
With keenness as he shoots;
Fischer was the same, I hear,
When mating his pursuits.

Our youth mould with nuance
Unknown or heard;
Like Beatles when they sang their story,
Changed our world with words.

You see that child with quiet demeanour,
Shy, wise and independent;
Misunderstood and fiercely inner,
Strong-willed and confident:
How could that child hurt himself!
She might think of suicide!
What is it that we recognize
Only when they've died.

Sometimes the precocious go on display,
The kind kind, not the snide,
They reason well, abstractly think,
Still, they're lacking pride.
Although this child loves the test,
She'll play piano with the best.

Nose in the shelves or cheering,
Joining clubs or donning jerseys,
This one belongs to many groups,
Can “stand one” in the pub.
Friends get a wink or inside joke.
Their loyalty counts when they vote.

The flower vender didn't know
When selling flowers to Van Gogh,
His flowers would always grow.

The orchard worker had a flaw,
He left the apples far too long.
Now we've Newton's Law.

In the bar fight, glass was broken,
Swept out with the rubble.
Copernicus saw that glass that day
Now we have the Hubble.

We know parents rarely see
The true presence of a genius;
But we live in fortunate times
We get it when we see it.
Like sitting in a Hawking's lecture,
Having Cohen sing to us;
Some who voted for Gandhi,
Can still watch Messi play.
Old men fish with Hemingway
When they read his book,
We can watch a Hitchcock,
When brave enough to look.
We sit through Lear
And hear Shakespeare,
Or tour St. Paul's with Wren;
Stand and stare at  Dali
Until the world unbends.
Or just walk Rome.
You may even find one
Sitting at home.

Rely on natural ability.
Persistence precedes reputation;
Provide the extras and common sense,
And love will lead to eminence.

Children breathe our same air,
But  exhale differently;
Genius can be found right here,
Before posterity.

An adorer with special carillons

I wish to
inculcate the same
cardinally faith which
you exercise.

Believe me, its
feeling is not an
overriding element
which would countermand
others' beliefs.

It's just that it comes
to save me like
a bipod which would
protect my emotions
and feelings with its
fairly unbends.

I think misery is not a word
for love. But you leave me
in a daze. You are present in
rutilant sorrow too.

May be one can let go of
it, just by experiencing it.

Glass bent dreams,
Refracted moonbeams,
An indigo patchwork
Of stars
And fraying seams;

In streams and bends,
The scene amends
What reality pretends.

By my force of will,
Even the Amazon unbends.

I dream the world anew
Where light turns askew,
My kingdom in the blue,
Built for two,
Built around you.

worlds of difference made in our whirlwind days
the most lovely way that you say all that you say,
lends life, lifts my heart in most marvelous new ways
when you are gone even for the smallest of time,
the ache descends and with it unbends all my rhymes,
so I breathe for that next moment so sweet and so true,
when once more I am able to be with you...
I could go on and on and on and then on some more,
how this new thing has touched me, how I do so adore,
but mostly my dearest, your dearest dear true heart
moving me so deeply, my dear I know not where to start
your words, your voice, gifted upon your soft generous lips,
all these my lovely, do more than unchain my hips,
draw me in to you, make me the moth to your flame,
fill me with longing for that thrill that one more time
when once again, you sweetly whisper my name...

This was a note, a comment left for my love,so I spaced it and a poem was born.

we transcend
space transmutes
time unbends
black shards
new found light
transforms
dull coal lines
to sparkled
marcasite
liquify the night
bursting
colours bright
we rearrange
time lines
slip the knot
as we redefine
follow the dot
to refine
realign
reunite in perfect time.

She    enters   my    heart   when
I am unaware of   her   presence,
and she  unbends  my  thoughts
when  my   self-esteem  needs   a
boost allowing me to love myself
as I love her.

She    gives  me   the   courage  to
embrace dreams and the strength
to   sacrifice  for  them   and    the
determination     to    fulfill   them.

When  I feel lonely or distressed,
she helps  me to remember   that
      she   is  always  with   me.

It's that time again
in the endless night
when shadows unfurl
and time unbends

it's that time once more
deep in the inky black well
where the empty side of my bed
chasmic yawn slams loves door

It's that time in the night
when the monsters come out
dream creeping and steeping
no escape try as I might

It's that time the witching hour
where my past is now present
old ghosts come to torment
each breath taken tastes sour

It's that time hands stop dead
moments freeze like sloe ice
shadows moving in the dark
haunting thoughts in my head

It's that time in this night
only one thing can make it right
not out of mind yet out of sight
your loving arms holding me tight.
