On the banks of the Delaware where memories of Valley Forge's dire winter encampments still linger where sons and daughters of liberty shook off a mid-winter rigor mortis risking the slow death of complacency to seize the prized celestial article of freedom America's Labor Movement amassed in the streets of Trenton a vigilant battalion of General Washington's invading brigands speaking in tongues of radical insistence armed with the might of truth demanding respect and equitable treatment from the lordships of state doing the bidding of 527 llc's Unionists stand firmly on the shoulders, walking in the tracks rowing the boats of militant forebears pledging to fight on in a battle that never ends to liberate the ****** river of justice hijacked by the privilege of plenty diverted into culverts of greed a gluttonous few siphoning off the spoils of liberty engorging themselves leaving workers wanting democracies require the cup of liberty to be shared by all The Spirit of General Washington has mustered new legions to turn back the entitlistas the pelting rain of lies, the flinging arrows of ridicule will not deter the workers trooping for justice the fight to roll back the ugly tide of greed coursing through the veins of America despoiling the blood of our democracy is on the explosive dynamite of struggle will blast the dam of inequity to bits unleashing the river of justice to roll again Music Selection: Pete Seeger: Solidarity Forever Trenton 2/25/11 jbm

Trenton
Crackling windows and shattered power lines low and grumbling. A tree spreads its wings and uproots itself from the soil. Downtrodden shacks stand tired at half staff, barely paying attention. ***** roads dirt roads trodden untrodden my humble abodes They've hammered a rusty nail into the northern star and hung an advertisement there - It's the brightest shiner in the sky Weeping willow weepin' Done crying, now a sleeping fellow frozen fingers ask for change Never really Done crying done trying Never really Done A house split down the middle rusty rouge and a battered blue A solemn lady saunters with a stop sign Pine tree pines to the left Pensive pencil pours pickled thoughts to paper Pied piper pries sleepy eyelids pulls sick stories pulsating pupils monstrously melodious musings making meal of my darkness

once frugal
This isn't a word, its is a vision The main crust of a saddled soul Its a kind gesture of uncertainty A heart lost in the world Standing in the center of the Bermudian Every action being judged by precedence Let me show you the way over lost This vision seems blu I cant find my way out I denote being taking away Its fetal and dark amidst the light Trenton pumps my heart ablaze Ode to the wind of the cold noon I wish not found to you I lost not warmth to be bitter Life of a painter without a brush I rush to the cardinal, astray of the wide Do not look at me because no sight no vision Having judged all but a path I see a mast in thy eyes

Lost
Washington had never seen a grin On an American face Till now It had war written all over it But, the battle had just begun The trees had dropped dead In the icy breeze Catching a glimpse of the water In the icy calm of Delaware... Preface Hessians and Brits Were in their rightful wits They were jostling for another win After losing New York For Washington, it meant the **** "Victory or Death" so it seemed The American Plan Historians say we were 3000 troops short But, I say we were 2400 brave men up The crossing of the Delaware River Became the manoeuvre of the 18th century December 26, 1776 The whistling of winds amidst wailing bloodied soldiers The fury of gunfire ripping the chests of a hundred Hessians The command of American advancement with 2400 troops All led to cover taken behind the Trenton houses By the British stooges The End Of Hessian Troops Germans had become notorious for drinking And by now Their senses had yielded And the night had redacted their bloodthirst One must say, Warriors glance and prospect Winners celebrate and revel Americans were about to Descend unto sudden death without suspicion or suspect However, with sudden death comes everlasting glory For example, a battle of belligerence depicted by Emanuel Leutze in "Washington Crossing The Delaware" That was the Battle of Trenton, my friends at Hello Poetry
