The hood won't be the same, We're out standing in the rain, To encourage sprouts as we once did our children; For down the road you see it's as legal, As a Timmy's and a cream-cheese bagel, We're good to grow the free green grass at home. On this side of our border, Starting this October, We'll bake it, vape it, roll and bowl to take it; Down the road you see it's now legal, The price of home grown's dropped to zero, We're good to grow the free green grass at home. Yes we're all on board to greet it, Some inhale and some will eat it; We're good to grow the free green grass at home. I'm awake and it astounds me, My four plants that surround me; We've realized what we've long been dreaming; For there's a store where we can cop some, Come the fall fresh buds will blossom, We're good to grow our free green grass at home. Yes we're all on board to greet it, Some inhale, and some will eat it, We're good to grow our free green grass at home.

The Free Green Grass At Home
The day I opened a Bible was a tale of two cities, The best and the worst of times, I could no longer lay back and leave the sand in my hourglass, watch the days of my life drift, while logans lurk, wolverine around the brook in the forest, looking to claw the hope away, make a ridge between the family I claimed to love. There seems to be harmony in passions, But not even Timmy knows which spell Tabitha will cast to cause more division. The continent of the canine always barking with it's mouth open, Feed me, We cry, now we are fat with corruption, preying on the piety of poverty, prophiting leviathans, the cultish land with a superstition, fearful never able to hear the mission. We hold fast but not to the word, starving ourselves from understanding, traditions trump truth, as we defecate more dangerous nonsense into our ear holes, perhaps we're better off, we have some peace and food, we don't have the rat race, maybe I've been too sheltered, failing to truly discern the state of the land that houses me. I couldn't even see that my house was burning but it was cool if  it was watered down by a firetruck . I used to think that every African knows Jesus. Sometimes I act like I don't. -Kanyanta

Every African knows Jesus
When I was thirteen, I had a running coach. He was short, lean, and muscular. An Italian man with a whistle hanging around his neck, farmer's tan, and below his black widow's peak sat silver aviators, propped upon his shiny beak. I ran miles and miles a day, but, no matter how much I'd run he never followed. He always trusted me to stride my roads and lift my knees high during the kick at the end of the races against myself. "If you want to run you gotta drop that baggage," he'd laugh between sips from his water bottle as he towered over little me, panting and red. We both stood tall under the blazing sun. I couldn't comprehend exactly what he meant, I mean, I told him, "I have ultra-light, top-of-the-line shoes, compression shorts and athletic toes, a hairless chest for maximum speed, sweat running rivers down my spine, legs that never exhaust, and, above all, Coach, a spirit that can move mountains." His response, silence and a smirk. Who was he to teach me about running? "You're weighing yourself down boy, you gotta drop that baggage." It was his motto for me every time my time would increase, because, you see, when running, increase is bad. Except for hills. I can still hear his voice in my head, "Uphill, increase exertion." He never ran with me, he just told me to go. He showed me the route and I did as expected, six days a week, sometimes three miles, sometimes ten, day after day, again and again, shoulders hunched and me out of breath, "runners high," they called it. I hated running, I hated my coach, I didn't understand why anyone would want run to anywhere. Not now. Now, I love it. It has become my hobby, a specialty for when one grows up, your body is built for it, and your mind has been ready to run since junior high. It starts as a seedling, when you're barely able to walk, and by the time your cardiovascular system has been assaulted by packs of tobacco and rolled marijuana, it blooms green. That's when you realize: Running is easy. And coaching? Don't even get me started on how easy that is.

Timmy got a bike, Timmy ******* died. Timmy's mother drank, Timmy's father cried. And it rained. It rained for five days and six nights, and although it stopped raining on the sixth day, the sun did not shine. It's the movement, iOS7, download tonight, Timmy's bike was red, his friends thought it was tight. Timmy got a bike, (Each day we all feel a bit more like Bukowski, a bit more cynical) Timmy ******* died.

What was it like? The fight? Well I’d say it was like… Eowyn valiantly facing off with the Witch King It was like Obi Wan flinging droids around with the flick of his hand It was like saying “Hi” to Scarface’s friends It was like the feeling Shrek got when he saved Fiona It was like the moment when we first realize Scar will betray Mufasa It was like watching the Joker toy with Batman’s head It was like watching King Leonidas **** Persians in slow motion It was like John McClane actually dying It was like the green burst of light from Voldemort’s wand It was like… It was like… It was like ******* off the Don on the day of his daughter’s wedding subsequently forcing the Don to leave a horse head in your bed. Woah dude, that’s too far. The fight between Timmy and Johnny at recess was not like that.

The Fight
Timmy the clown was clownin around, then he fell on his head and he died. Tommy the troll was trollin on by, when he saw poor Timmy and cried. Tommy picked up Timmy, looked to the sky, and shouted out loud “God, why!?” “Because clowns are the creepiest things in the world,” God immediately replied. And Tommy couldn’t argue with that.

Welcome to the fast lane of... hold on I’m vibrating. Cell phone flips open thumbs move like clockwork even when inattentive eyes start dead at the chalkboard. 1st period notes to last period quizzes, the mind makes no error between the difference where letters A and S go. The world is filled tweets on Twitter and texts to Timmy’s tiny little brother. Excuse me please, I’ll take a super-sized Facebook but please leave out homework because I’d like a tall glass of procrastination. I’ll take a ride on the super highway that is a cell phone. Mile long texting to the person right next to me.   Hey generation X take a seat and have a laugh at generation TEXT. I’d like to be the first to say welcome to end of conversation. Please take a look around but you might miss the latest drama if you happen to glance down. Life is quick , easy and painless but didn’t momma always teach us that that **** was dangerous? But, hey, what can I say to change the minds of those who have change their ideas on life about a hundred million times. I’m just another face in the crowd that has a phone out and my face down. Whatever happened to actually speaking words that could open doors and let loose a sense of humanity? Would you like to know answer? Well here it is.... wait, I have check Facebook.

Pick a cause, any cause, and slap your receipt on your bumper. Everyone is doing it. Everyone needs something to be passionate about. What's your disease? Not a one of us has it but **** if we don't act like it. Walk it off. Blame federal taxes. Blame the government. Why not your cause? Why not your ailment? Cus' you know Johnny is going to die if we don't do something, and Susie's just runnin' outta time. Buy a teddy bear to show you give a **** Donate that extra quarter. It all piles up somewhere. But who, I mean who ever bothered to cure anything? A million lab coats are workin' on your answer. Just give em' a sec, this stuff takes time. In the mean time throw another buck in like your the only one. Like this is the only problem left. Like Santa only cares about breast cancer or the church only cares about Alzheimers. It's got one of their own you know. Uncle Jim's got cancer of the liver, where's his save the children fund? Timmy's got cerebral palsy. Sara's got Aspergers. Randy has the Typhoid. Pick a brand any brand and show you give a **** Like the only one who gives a **** about the only thing that matters. Forget them, what about me? What about my issue? What about my family? Does the take a penny leave a penny in the seven eleven make you feel important? Good. Look here, buy this pin. 10% goes to Katrina victims

Timmy Fears Getting Caught
Timmy Ray, poor boy from Kentucky. Football scholarship. Degree in Business Administration. Respectable job, bored. Enlists with best friend in Marines as a macho trip. Vietnam, what a crock. This ain’t football. And it ain’t fair. Schemes to get out, ignores an order to go out on patrol, ******** mission, but the friend goes, gets shot up bad. Timmy Ray runs out to help the friend, is shot. It’s all blood and mud, man, blood and mud. Friend paralyzed, Timmy Ray okay. Court-martial for Timmy Ray, discharge. The friend takes an overdose. “No moral here,” Timmy Ray says. “My war story. That’s all.” Timmy Ray makes sculptures, big metal things. No people. “The human body’s been done,” he says. Downtown Detroit in front of an office he welds a pile of globes, names it “Love” so he’ll get paid but he says it’s really “Moose Brain.” These days, Timmy Ray’s hand trembles. He volunteers at a suicide hot line. No moral there, either. Moose brain.
