"threshold" poems
Before long the summer sun will rise in London Like the half of the Ge meets the other half. Like a magic by the Lamp of Aladdin The love flame hidden in the chest lights up! Like a blooming rose in a glowing beam of light, Like a smiling face speaks a gentle word, Like a beautiful sunrise colour in the first light! The summer in London will pop and sizzle We will see a threshold in our land. The rose for a while is tucked away Off the winter and is given to the sun Winter is not forever spring is on the corner Come back in the sun with the early bird Before Cinderella takes on the primrose path. Keeping an eye on a thriller is in the winter’s field Oozy ozone misty land gets a gingerly seasoning What on earth will it strike, will it dish out? Ah, the sun will pop out like a river breeze. Like a southern song singing on a dream scene. a smooth fairy dance facing the Moon a thrill of exposing Stonehenge once and for all a melodious raindrop in the serene pond a butterfly dance on the rose a turned on tall tale of the blue peacock Like a pure belief in heaven without a pinch of salt!

Summer in London
Great tragedy suffered, Impossible circumstances conquered, The warrior walks upon the field flanked path. The wanderer's armor tells a tale, Battle scarred and partially rent asunder, A face of stoicism that hides the haggardness underneath, Peeking out beneath the mask of a hardened soldier. The clouds clap ahead, preceded by flashes of light brightly illuminating the world, Accompanied shortly after by the rainfall. A trickle becomes a downpour, The battered individual trudging along as the road becomes a bog of mud and slop, The message firmly planted within their mind. Coming upon the dark outline of the castle ahead the warrior picks up pace, Reflecting upon what would happen to those that the Warrior helped. The pace is now fueled by a different kind of urgency. The rain is cold upon the face's of those that it falls on, The torn edges of metal digging in at places, Some already wounded and tender, As the final hilltop between them is crested. The gates are closed, And this loyal soldier is for the moment shut out, A fist is raised, The declaration of allegiance given, An angry detailing of the warriors achievements and adventures shouted, And a challenge of one's path, Building in anger and fury as the dam finally breaks and gushes forth, Threatening to shatter the gate and doors to splinters and twisted metal. A long ago promised gift to be rewarded, For all the things endured, Things that could be considered so cruel, The storm picks up in force until it's akin to that of a hurricane, As if brought forth by the warrior's grief and pain finally being released, For the first and only time. These things ringing out despite the storms roaring wind, Gathering force, Perhaps in affirmation of the warrior's words. After a pause the gate begins to lift, It's metal screeching, The doors groaning as they begin to swing outward, and the battered soldier is bathed in light, Taking the weight from the warrior's shoulders, As the threshold is finally crossed.

Can I drown in the sweet sorrow of your passion? Bask in the drips of your essence and savor your liquid ecstasy. Stare in awe at the contours of your body as it bends to my very will. Making you feel as real as this fantasy world we have thrusted ourselves into. Your soft whimpers caresses my ears as our spirits are driven by their own Heaven and Hell. The rapid movements of your ribcage soothes my ravenous soul as our bodies intertwine with each other. The aroma of our mixture captivates my subconscience as we're climbing towards your highest peak. Your petite thighs clenching onto my physique build as the wave of nirvana overpowers your psyche. She slowly drifts away from our fantasy world, leaving me here to dwell on her forsaken sorrow. My body yearns to hear your voice in the endless darkness as it awaits for your return. Can I cross the threshold into your garden of Eden one last time?

Soul Quest
here is little Effie’s head whose brains are made of gingerbread when the judgment day comes God will find six crumbs stooping by the coffinlid waiting for something to rise as the other somethings did— you imagine His surprise bellowing through the general noise Where is Effie who was dead? —to God in a tiny voice, i am may the first crumb said whereupon its fellow five crumbs chuckled as if they were alive and number two took up the song, might i’m called and did no wrong cried the third crumb,i am should and this is my little sister could with our big brother who is would don’t punish us for we were good; and the last crumb with some shame whispered unto God,my name is must and with the others i’ve been Effie who isn’t alive just imagine it I say God amid a monstrous din watch your step and follow me stooping by Effie’s little, in (want a match or can you see?) which the six subjunctive crumbs twitch like mutilated thumbs: picture His peering biggest whey coloured face on which a frown puzzles, but I know the way— (nervously Whose eyes approve the blessed while His ears are crammed with the strenuous music of the innumerable capering ****** —staring wildly up and down the here we are now judgment day cross the threshold have no dread lift the sheet back in this way. here is little Effie’s head whose brains are made of gingerbread

Here Is Little Effie’s Head
The moon illuminates the tears she sheds as the darkness shields her from this reality. She opened the portal to her fantasy world and the memories she once hid, finally reappears. His ability to make her chocolate frame quiver into the palm of his hand just by whispering those 3 words. The way his alluring eyes would caress and soothe her soul to force her to disclose its hidden secrets. "Do you mean it?" She quietly whispered into his ears as their essence finally merged into existence. He was able to tear down her layers of pain, confusion, and hurt as he crossed the threshold into her mind.   As she gazes into his ravishing eyes, she becomes paralyzed as they undress her bare petite physique. The gateway to her hidden domain steadily closes as the warmth rays rest upon her dried tears. Her tear stricken face clenches onto the dwindling memories of his dominance over her. If only he kept to his word, then he would have understood her tears of affection.

Tears of a Broken Angel.
I know why the caged bird sings. It's not because his song is as vibrant as his feathers, that he plucks away each day because he doesn't feel beautiful. It's not because of the majesty that exist in the freedom of being able to spread his wings though he knows he'll never rise to the occasion. He sings because he believes that this cage was made for a king because he has never tasted freedom with a side order of skies. He's never flown past the sun on a cool morning or hung with the moon on a warm night. He's only ever known the comfort of a prison that his thoughts have become accustomed to calling home. He would never venture beyond the "welcome" mat because what's beyond the threshold holds no promise the way these bars and metal locks do. He sings because he knows that no one is listening so if he makes a mistake he doesn't have to live with the regret or embarrassment of knowing that he missed his note. The caged bird never believes that he's caged because behind these walls he's safe and he prefers it this way. I know why the caged bird sings.

. And her arms enfold me, I lay my cheek against her breast. The shaking starts, the tears fall, as sobs emerge unhindered. Cries from way down deep, and I hear her heart, slow, steady, metronomic. So I follow its rhythm along a path richly bathed in warm sunlight. Through an archway and across a threshold shrine, the cemetery of the Ancients. A hundred thousand names, carved in marble, adorned with statues and plinths. Holding knowledge of old, and the sound of silence, like an abandoned library. The shadow of love hovers close, driving through midnight mists and leading me on. Practising narrative necromancy, reanimating old words, giving them life newly born, upon the first carved marbles, its names burnished with wisdom, and the anonymity of obscurity. There glows one name in forgotten script and I know my deepest identity, the weight of the aeons flows free into my mind, histories of the millennia. I know my Forest Lady holds secrets that belong to me. And she gestates them all, a coveted pregnancy. A path-working, an etherical dream, and her heart skips a beat, as another part of me crumbles and dies, to mingle with the dust of ancient knowledge. © Pagan Paul (11/07/18)

My Forest Lady Holds Secrets
The woman in the window   Looks out beyond the glass Beyond the reach of her whispers   Befogged upon windowpanes glance Farther  than  the  bounds   Her own breathe imbues Out of reach her long fingered touch   Tracing her murmurs on looking glass dew Grasping for the shadowed artifacts   Only time does nonchalantly drift past Perched alone upon a cloud of silence   Her thoughts eddy in soundless swirl Spinning like dizzying shadows   Swallowed by a thirst for light The other side of window beckons   Only she knows she’s looking out through a sigh; Seeing no one familiar looking back ―     For what hidden jewels within abide She dreams of dancing leafless by daylight   Twirling beneath the whispering willows sway Just a step away from being free   Just a step away from feeling alive With first step beyond imprisoning hesitation   Crossing over the threshold of a dream Through a liberating portal outside the glass   Just on the other side of the windowsill ...                   Jesse e Stillwater

The Woman in the Window
When snow falls against the window, Long sounds the evening bell... For so many has the table Been prepared, the house set in order. From their wandering, many Come on dark paths to this gateway. The tree of grace is flowering in gold Out of the cool sap of the earth. In stillness, wanderer, step in: Grief has worn the threshold into stone. But see: in pure light, glowing There on the table: bread and wine.

Winter Evening
In the worst hour of the worst season of the worst year of a whole people a man set out from the workhouse with his wife. He was walking-they were both walking-north. She was sick with famine fever and could not keep up. He lifted her and put her on his back. He walked like that west and north. Until at nightfall under freezing stars they arrived. In the morning they were both found dead. Of cold. Of hunger. Of the toxins of a whole history. But her feet were held against his breastbone. The last heat of his flesh was his last gift to her. Let no love poem ever come to this threshold. There is no place here for the inexact praise of the easy graces and sensuality of the body. There is only time for this merciless inventory: Their death together in the winter of 1847. Also what they suffered. How they lived. And what there is between a man and a woman. And in which darkness it can best be proved.

Quarantine
New Year's Day 1:16 AM and my body is weary beyond time to withdraw and rest ample room allowed me in everyone's head but community calls right over the threshold drums beating through the walls children playing their truck dramas under the collapsible coatrack in the narrow hallway outside my room The TV lounge next door is wide open it is midnight in Idaho and the throb easy subtle spin of the electric slide boogie step-stepping around the corner of the parlor past the sweet clink of dining room glasses and the edged aroma of slightly overdone dutch-apple pie all laced together with the rich dark laughter of Gloria and her higher-octave sisters How hard it is to sleep in the middle of life.

The Electric Slide Boogie
Seek freedom from the anxious mind For, you have the freedom to choose Break the shackles of intimidation Claim your freedom for the sleeping madness Wake up to a world of freedom, for it’s yours Freedom for the prejudices and the dogmas Claim your freedom for the untrusting world Freedom beckons you from the deepest caverns Thwart the advances of violence, and seize freedom Do not pay heed to the abusive words As your freedom to speak up is jeopardized The weakest of hearts and minds, resort to violence And their abode inside is wrecked by loss of freedom You freedom will come when you walk out Opening the gates of your heart to freedom The weak personalities seeks to strangle freedom To dominate the beautiful souls, as they feel threatened Assert your freedom; this is becoming a puppet’s world Always made to act when the strings are pulled There is a world full of love and freedom waiting for you You just have to cross the threshold of the murky world Only you can win your freedom, if you choose to Seek freedom, and slam the door on the world of captivity © Amitav (Radiance)

Freedom
Radness The Philosopher’s Stone is not just a spiritual metaphor but an actual substance that can transmute lead or mercury into gold. The Stone is a product of Alchemy. Unlike chemistry, which only deals with physical matter and energy, Alchemy makes use of etheric and astral energies to reconfigure matter at the quantum level. Alchemy is to chemistry what a cube is to the square; it is a superset of chemistry and is capable of so much more. How Etheric Energy Overrides Physical Laws Alchemical achievements require successfully gathering, concentrating, and multiplying etheric energy. When this energy reaches a critical threshold, it overpowers the normal laws of physics and allows seemingly miraculous processes to take place. I believe it does this by biasing probability. By amplifying the probability of minor quantum effects, which are normally limited to the subatomic scale, they manifest on the larger atomic scale. In this way, one element spontaneously transforms into another. The world around us is made of subatomic particles that regularly undergo unpredictable jumps, teleportation, bilocation, superposition, and other strange quantum behaviors. Why don’t everyday solid objects do likewise? Because the random quantum jittering of their subatomic particles collectively average out to zero. Think of a large crowd of people; seen from the air, the crowd as a whole is stationary, even though individuals within the crowd move in seemingly random directions. It’s because their movements are random and uncoordinated that they average to zero net movement on the whole. The world we see around us is merely a crowd of subatomic particles whose individual quantum jumps aren’t apparent because they average to collective stillness. Physical laws that govern our everyday world, known as the deterministic laws of classical physics, are merely the laws of the crowd. These laws are what’s left of quantum physics after the unpredictability is removed through statistical averaging. They are not absolute laws; they are just the most probable manner in which matter and energy behave. Physical laws can be bent. While the probability is incredibly low that enough coordination and coherence develops among the quantum jitters to manifest on a collective scale, that is exactly what etheric energy does. It alters probability and thereby skews the laws of thermodynamics, gravity, electromagnetism, and chemistry. Alchemy does not violate the laws of physics, nor does it always follow them, rather it bends them as needed. It operates upon the quantum foundation from which these laws arise in the first place, via etheric energy affecting the probability of quantum events.

I was never looking into you I was only pouring an image of myself onto your canvas Of course I didn’t know it was me looking into me this was the mirage of my desire always in the shape of a question mark and you a sweeping mystery oozing something toeing the peculiar line between *** and titanium (cold, edgy, sharp - trembling between pain and principle like blazer and tie or more like halfway-unbuttoned-shirt-and-slacks on-with-no-tie (it was like you were making an effort!)) It was *** but it also wasn’t *** (I am empty I am full) I keep building up and up and up all these images in my Mind (which never shuts up) (a never-ending narrative She spins and spins and succumbs only in those rare and passing circumstances) constructing people like buildings only the scaffolding is imaginary and when the architecture folds in on itself soulless and my beloved figurines come toppling down on me why do I still get so surprised so stung so lonely in that hollow and distant way (like your Mind is echoing in on Itself)? My Mind is like quicksand devouring streams of memory with ease forever unsatisfied and craving more of the same sharp edges and all praying for a satiation in some distant future She knows will never come Only here in this tiny universe can I spell out anything resembling rationality from the mess and junk and tangled tendrils of my Mind Only here can I extract bits and pieces of thoughts and try to puzzle them together until they make sense until I can separate “Me” from “Reality" And what doesn’t make sense what I need to understand is why I feel so beset with this heavy magnetism that overpowers me to the point of paralysis (with little to no room for breathing) and why it was you who pushed me into this feeling and you who is still pulling me along far past the threshold of my resistance and I am done and it stings

She knew It would be good as she stood under a sky more colorful than blue. As she stood on a threshold of something that smelled like the silk and satin he had slept on just the night before, She hoped for more than red lights flashing, than hearts surrounded by fences. But, she only heard the mashing of sweetened heartstrings not fully cooked. If only she had looked for something more than a cookbook.

He is narcissist of highest character is sunshine that is so smug with its wide smile and rays that poison yet sunshine is still your happiness he is holder of many hearts he likes to clutch them like soft baby skin to his soft chest and feel the beating and warm gush of blood against him it feeds him some say like your eyes never could like the spark that pumped like the breath never could that beating marvel never could like you never could he tells you that he has always loved the sun you believe it is because he sees himself when he stares at it in the reflection of the car door it slams behind him as he steps over the threshold he does not whisper of how your lips were the key to his he does not let his tongue trail across your aching chest as he murmurs of how you are the sun baby you shine so bright baby your skin is so soft baby sometimes you believe he has forgotten that he was once you was once the boy who lied beneath the hungry tiger and let its jaws wrap upon his neck and squeeze sometimes gentle narcissist is he, he likes to hold you to his chest to feel your heart and whispers about how beautiful you are and how he doesn't care a pang shoots through your chest and you feel tears leaking from you you feel as if he has betrayed you and then he puts down your heart looks you in the eye and says I don't love you for your beauty baby I love you for the fire that spurs my wind and darkness that sets my skin aflame

Motherland
If I am the mother to a million poems landing on def ears and a single one grows slowly to learn your language than I will surly transcend into a kind of euphoria and swim in satisfaction. If I am the mother to a thousand ideas and none but one shall strike you but it is so loud the ground you stand on trembles Than I will cross the threshold of my potential knowing I have finally listened long enough to say something undeniable. If I whisper a hundred nothings onto notebook paper and after a hundred years a single sentence means something substantial to a individual.. than I have done something innately  good and larger than myself; a single mother to a million poems

Dear diabolic debutante / Spawn of the unfathomable abyss of blackness / Daughter of dreadful dead desire / Black-shrouded sinister sister of celestial gloom before whose imperious gaze the heavens fall silent / Whip-lash girl-child of the graves whose pallid visage kindles the myriad infernal fires / Autocratic vampiress of lunar doom whose winding-cloth enfolds the thousand horrors of blood-drenched nightmare / Thou that wanderest the cypress-crested hills of funereal necropolises / Whose icy glance cracks the ungraven tombstones of utter desolation / Empress of night and madness / Who stalks the locked and shadowed hallways of unhallowed thought / Whose burial-boat glides the still waters over Lethe’s silent depths to the unglimpsed isle of eternal mourning / Whose parapets tower above the fiefdoms of quotidian banality / Whose flying buttresses overlook the Stygian waters of the forgotten drowned denizens of damnation / Whose unshackled dungeons open to worlds of regal splendor / Whose spires pierce dark skies where oblivion buries the ruined cities of revelry under the drifting clouds of leaden time / Oh maiden of melancholic alchemy whose petrified passions transmute base metal into pure gold… May the gibbous moon of equinox shine its baleful eye upon you; may you tread in sacramental calm the winding starlit paths of somnolent cemeteries; may my unmixed metaphors unveil in delirium their parabolic mysteries before the smoldering altar of your uninterpretable allegory; may the favor of your scorn forever lay me out, embalmed, undead, on the cold stone of merciless reality. Behold: in cryptic script of spectral apparition, in tracery of coded illumination, amidst the dawning rays of torment I write thine unknown name on the threshold of daylight. And from within the mortared wall of self I speak forth from my sepulcher the Sibylline utterance, unsought, unheard, undreamt: JUST WANTED TO SAY ‘HI’ !

Independence is our cry, pride is our name. We are all separated by countries and oceans, but our mindset is one and the same. The concept of change, we fear; the idea of an altered lifestyle haunts us, but the awareness that our home is binding our thoughts remains as our threshold away from the darkness. You board the plane, begin to set sail, put on your best shoes and run away from the chaos, breaking the chains, stating your name to be free. Your heart is racing as the grasp of new land is just miles within your reach the only words your mind can make up in that moment are “¡Libre soy alfin!” The moment is just minutes away now, you can almost feel la tierra El momento is almost here and you just want to chant “¡LIBERTAD!” But you can’t. You’re not there yet, only growing more eager. You’re impatient now; what happened to the claridad? What happened to that clarity in your mind when you were so sure of what you wanted? It has been replaced by the fear of not being enough. It has been replaced by the fear of getting sent back to that confinement you once called home. Now you realize this new life will be tough. You step foot en la tierra libre, the anxiety gets to your bones. Thoughts race through your mind there’s disbelief that this is your new home. The sensation of wandering on clouds, sleepwalking your life away is overwhelming; your eyes now resemble that oceanic pathway whilst los abrazos de abuela you are yearning The concept of change we fear; the idea of an altered lifestyle haunts us, and the awareness that our family is still stitched at the lips has become our allure back into the darkness. But independence is our cry, pride is our name. Precincts may separate us, yet our mindset remains one and the same: ¡Que viva la libertad!
