"subsistence" poems
good weather is like good women- it doesn't always happen and when it does it doesn't always last. man is more stable: if he's bad there's more chance he'll stay that way, or if he's good he might hang on, but a woman is changed by children age diet conversation *** the moon the absence or presence of sun or good times. a woman must be nursed into subsistence by love where a man can become stronger by being hated. I am drinking tonight in Spangler's Bar and I remember the cows I once painted in Art class and they looked good they looked better than anything in here. I am drinking in Spangler's Bar wondering which to love and which to hate, but the rules are gone: I love and hate only myself- they stand outside me like an orange dropped from the table and rolling away; it's what I've got to decide: **** myself or love myself? which is the treason? where's the information coming from? books...like broken glass: I wouldn't wipe my *** with 'em yet, it's getting darker, see? (we drink here and speak to each other and seem knowing.) buy the cow with the biggest **** buy the cow with the biggest **** present arms. the bartender slides me a beer it runs down the bar like an Olympic sprinter and the pair of pliers that is my hand stops it, lifts it, golden **** of dull temptation, I drink and stand there the weather bad for cows but my brush is ready to stroke up the green grass straw eye sadness takes me all over and I drink the beer straight down order a shot fast to give me the guts and the love to go on. from "poems written before jumping out of an 8 story window" - 1966

Fantasizing Feeling Needing Something scarce is eating at my melancholy. As I deliberate, a vigor burns beneath my blood. I get so warm thinking about his hands griping my hips. My cheeks flush at the thought of his skin pressed heavily against mine. Unalloyed ecstasy His subsistence is the key that reveals my coffer. I beg to feel his breathing For him to cognize how much I want to gratify his every desire. Slow motion when I fantasize. A room bursting of fine riches I could erupt with gratification. A gentleman who can pleasure me both with innocence and sensuality. Rarity that comes as one. He demonstrates loves configuration, he bestows complexity and certainty. One could ****** with the thought of his supportive charisma. I weaken at the awareness of his reciprocated needs. The definition of love is embraced through his actions. Bleeding perfection, he is untouchable. He makes me feel amity. He is the dream I want to feel as I shut my eyes at dusk. I can sense him so close, yet when I open my eyes I’m alone. He is what every women searches for.

Sense
Pushing a key oh how it brings me glee; Content even happy in simple existence; Many may not want to be just like me, For a dry dreary job takes a work of persistence, But each button I press is a step to success. Merely a man without a choice, Only a puppet with no voice As I wait for direction with keen apprehension; I stare at the screen first perplexed then distraught; I see no coworkers it fills me with tension; What was that? Was it just a thought? A voice in my head, now it fills me with dread. He must choose to make a choice, To give his mouth a voice “Stanley,” says he, “walked out his office”; ‘Stanley’ is that honestly my own name? This voice I don’t trust, I will be very cautious; I shut my closed door so all will stay the same; The voice has not parted, I’m back where I started; How? The end is never the end is never the end “Stanley,” says he, “walked out his office”; Shall I play with him in his own little game? My other decision was not quite that flawless; I walk outside and am filled with no shame; “Rejoice, you’ve made the one right choice”. Now he’s a man in a world of choice, The one employee that has a voice I come to two doors and feel a great sensation; “Walk through the door that's to your left” What should I think of his clear calm narration? I walk to the left, trying to be quite deft; “You must not try to be uncouth, my words they simply speak the truth”. Does he really have a choice? Are the words his own real voice? The constant dictation is no consolation; I am led into a secret new door; What I now see is a mind control station But how do I know what is real anymore? Does this place control me, or the voice within me? This is the chance to make a choice, His opportunity to put forth a voice "Will you close down the station boy? "Or put its full force into motion? What choice do I have but to follow the story? 'Mind control', I'm dismayed at the notion; I think I heard the voice inside me just scoff, I turn the station off. Only a character in a fixed plot line, He does not see a contrasting sign Now I am free but it brings me no glee; Maybe I should have put up some resistance; Merely existing means nothing to me; I must now question my unclear subsistence; The voice has not parted, I'm back where I started. A man with a choice, He has a voice

We the citizens, who live as refugees, We keep earning & see if our life is turning, To the price rise, we lose savings, Still we remain rock-bottom in standard of living. We belong to the middle class, Whose life always a breakable thin glass. Our life remains completely unsettle, Every second, life tests our mettle. Life chases us with pressure, failure and useless lecture, We are nurtured with a fear of future, Happiness remains just a leisure, Live with the unsecure & unsure present for a secure future. We keep us busy and function, We fear, when there arrives a function, Towards happiness, we run as a pilgrim, For the corporates, we become a mere victim. We run like an athlete for salary, food and target, For this globalized world, we are just a market, Like hungry dogs, we wait for increments, We keep running with bitter disappointments. We live in own house, only in our dreams, Our hearts cry with hopeless screams, Failures remain our tutors, Inability has turned us the irrecoverable debtors. Our appearance has a rich look, We have untold hidden burdens, That keep us shook, Keeps us forbidden and fear-ridden. Low class think us rich, High class always want us to be their ***** Politically neglected by the rulers, Economically exploited by the rich powers. We exhaust ourself for subsistence, We remain victorious and satisfied only in our existence, We lose our life to sustain in competence, We run our life with a mere persistence. More than the high class and low class, we suffer, Our lives never progressed as governments differ, All see low class with empathy and sympathy, To our difficulties, we are looked with apathy. On rich, we are not jealous, Towards our aim, we are zealous. Never think we are nothing, We truly have nothing to lose. We take risks to make history, Our path is nothing less than a mystery, You never allow us to come up, But we are not going to give up. Hello High class, Never pretend to live like us, to exploit us, Gone are the days, we remained fools, You will stand a day as the super intelligent fools. Before, we are hungry for food, Now, we are hungry to rule, Before, we feared to live, Now, we are ready to win the world. We are nothing! We are nothing We have nothing to lose! We won’t stop until having nothing could do nothing to us.

Why Do They Act That Way?
Rake-thin Humble hoes subsistence soil Planting green-topped onion bulbs, Camino divides the field forcing Humble's Husband To till distantly, he works slower, and is of bulbous girth, A red Reebok shirt adorns his back whilst she Wears the hand-me-downs her grandmother had worn. Their house is built of stone like bone, Ground-sewn and dug fresh centuries before, No siestas punctuate their endeavors. Passing pilgrims groan under weight of sack - Whilst Humble counts the years before her bones Are interned in preparation to shelter future generations.

The Final Round
S is for Seduction, a vast verb saved for flesh, But in her outer-worldly tune, my thoughts become enmeshed; Like at the great Salamis, where strength sought strike the feeble, Seduction marked our birth, their fall—an end without a sequel. L heralds in some fifty lads, of whom mere five would pass, Bugsy, Daphne, Sylvester, and Tazzy, above their peers compassed. The tests were long, the trials were tough, from nothing we had fostered A team of lucky, noble lads to fight these migrant monstærs. A is the assault, outnumbered and outclassed, Our heroes boldly braved their foes until their stalwart last. Despite their lead by tyrants, such Nawt of Hispaniola, Our foes were forced unto retreat, costing us Lady Lola. M is for the ones who’ve fallen, for them mourn reminiscence, For those who proudly placed their names for our petty subsistence. The fight is done, the beasts beat back, denied all loot and hoarding, And so a statue is ***** Honorum Mikael Iordan!

A Shoplifting
Life's Predispositions In the chapel of his soul and in the steeple of his mind votive candles burn, bright and iridescent, perpetual, red, yellow, green and blue. He sits in there, a chapel for one, in a mist of confusion, in a mess, searching for answers, as his life is waning, escaping, like an Autumn wind blowing the pages of his life ... stillness, of bookmarks, still on page one, he hatched, once. All around him, dark, and cold, like a winter chill, snow banks withdrawing, his sad existence. Still he looks up to Jesus on the cross. Warmth. In the chapel of his soul and in the steeple of his mind votive candles burn, large, bright and iridescent, perpetual, another rainbow stretching it's arcs for him. He backs away. He bemoans life, small, it's endowments on him. His parent's mistake on a dark, eerie loveless night... and their cutting words "You were a mistake," words that grew on him, like barnacles clinging to him, eating away his buoyancy, like a ship sinking. In the birth of another spring, flowers blossoms, rivers gushing down mountains and mountains of pollination, life, he has a lone branch waiting ... somewhere. Such stillness. Such stigmatization from his parents loveless past. A mistake they conceded. It had an effect on him, darker than the blackest sheep that he was. What predispositions. When the summer harvests arrive, fields smiling their wares, he scowled he scowled the corn, subsistence, life, the changing seasons, his short change of life. Rainbows. Why are the birds singing to me? Why? The voices in his head chirping, continuing. What message thou bring to an orphan? Still he looks up to Jesus on the cross. Warmth. His eyes squint. Dad, mom. And whispers words that don't need to be said, closure. Logan Robertson 6/01/17

Art of the Deal
History has shown They will **** their own Before living with others in peace Have no doubt That hatred is as nourishment Sustenance Subsistence A necessity for existence They can not do without Burning hot as fire within the wretched souls Of those Whose evil knows No bounds Would **** you As soon as kick you Because your skin is Olive or Brown Or you pray to a Deity That your life revolves around The depravity The corruption Never cease to be astounded By Those that NEED someone to hate Who would these mongers hate If successful in their efforts To eradicate Everyone who was, from themselves, different? If they knifed all the ******* Burned all the ******* Chopped up all the chinks Would this, their hate, augment? If they tortured the towel heads Killed the catholics Hanged the homos Would this, finally, curb discontent? Or Would the haters implode And begin to feed upon themselves Would short people Shoot tall people? Would merely looking at skinny Make fatty incensed? Would brown-eyed people **** blue-eyed people? Would red hair and freckles Be a stoning offense? Would black-haired people Break blond-haired people? This is a hate poem… And hate seldom makes sense… But sensical or no… Seems the real status quo Matters love that we show There will always be those That just plain NEED Someone to hate

Someone To Hate
Current events are conducive with nonchalant seeming pace When future springs surprises with time I will learn to face Cheery is current subsistence and freewill so far I propound Confines once start stifling I may break newer ground Perceptive mind is still active infinite inspirations all about If my illusions start dissipating new pastures I would scout Resources are just adequate for me to earn daily bread In days of desolate penury will take what fate’s spread Traversed I have distances to seek serenity for my mind Treks in future if improbable then peace within I will find Environs are lush and verdant their magic for one to behold As autumn spreads it’s magic with different shades of gold Realism is a confusing passage, through many an abyss and ridge Each nuance to be vied aptly while coming to cross any bridge

Speak
She's manifested today like a ghost appearing from a haunted house. Desertion is that inhabited manor from which the voices in her head urge her into exile, urge her phantom existence. Sitting upon the berm overlooking the beach and lighthouse of Coos Bay, she wishes she could ride the setting Pacific sun to New Guinea or beyond. Below five athletic young women contest the physics of a soccer ball, imagining the red-white lighthouse a goal. In other times she'd ask to join them, but she must lose her personal history now, remain hidden in plain sight. The loneliness of this subsistence a charnel house blackening her heart. She's Amelia Earhart about to crash the Yukon's heartbroken cry.

Leads You Here Despite Your Destination
What is this breath of life that cools me with every exhale? The breath that sways in between every leaf, and provides the earth with much avail. What is this breath of life that gives movement to those without vitality? That enables the inanimate to travel, giving means to their universality. What is this breath of life that brushes the hair from my face? That gives resistance to my motion, challenging the runner's pace. What is this breath of life that in the absence of such, beings would also be without? Allowing existence to continue, contributing to the circle of life throughout. What is this breath of life that is constantly taken for granted? As mother nature's sigh tests the trees she implanted. What is this breath of life that rocks the wooden chimes? Creating an orchestra with the forest playing a different song than those of past times. What is this breath of life that embraces us with whispers? That calls to us with the rest of the land to wake up and read the divine scriptures. What is this breath of life that I can count on to relinquish the past? Providing a state I can dwell in, knowing that now is the only thing that lasts. What is this breath of life that is fully indifferent to good or bad? A spirit that knows no evils, who cannot tell between a murderer or a lily pad. What is this breath of life that spreads bliss every time the spirit is blown? Who's inspiration can help you realize peace, once you grasp that you are never alone. What is this breath of life that transmutes silence into song? Giving lightness to reality, causing your feet to dance along. What is this breath of life that endows me with so many reasons to smile? The simplicity of nature's air conditioning that makes the sun-heated day worthwhile. What is this breath of life that spreads seeds to propagate plants? Helping to sustain life upon this earth, from the humans to the ants. What is this breath of life that sends a message from far away? A prior knowledge of the situations beyond, so one can be wary of the upcoming purvey. What is this breath of life, that is another link in the interconnected subsistence? Where the presence of one leads to the actuality of another, in which the universe is a timeless coexistence.

Wind - Mother Nature's Breath.
Resurrecting the Tower of Babel (repost)
In the wee hours of nothing We exist as ourselves Too tired for delusions Too asleep to lie Too awake to dream Unintentionally We are our unfiltered selves Content to just be... In the wee hours

Subsistence
there are so many pieces of torn paper into the stone-chips of the broken road they are of summer they are of late autumn beside is the ice-mill the glow-sign board attached tightly the indelible ink catches the finger of the lemon-grass the fish-market is also alive and glad the young minister of state sends his best wishes to the handloom-girls in between some horn-blowing of the camels the labour-strike trembles the water of dhaleswari-river has been filled with the sound of subsistence

the earthy habitat 8
To my life, she adds a million times more lustre; Through thick and thin, and shine and dust- Her advice has guided me through each dead end. And I call her my best friend. With blindfolded eyes,I place in her endless trust, For I know, in every adversity, she'll protect me as my crust. My each impaired emotion, she can easily mend; And I call her my best friend. Her presence, for my subsistence, is a must: For she brings out my best, in ways most just. She supported me,even when life changed its blend, And I call her my best friend. When I was challenged in life's most stormy gusts, She stood by me, as tough as a bust. She shows me the correct path, away from the fiend; And I call her my best friend. I want to thank you- for all that you've done, Your worth is appreciated in the highest tons! I shall always be here, should you need a shoulders' lend; As I have called you my best friend.

Best friend
bless this restlessness as it is success but a mess none the less I confess when wearing a dress there is no guess just bad press and distress impressed? the need for rest seems incessant and persistent yet I remain resistant by playing an instrument, one reminiscent of distant enlisted men transitioning to some sort of agricultural based life of subsistence subservient serfdom on poor farms in Tennessee with plenty of hens running free and a still out back brewing grain whiskey frisky miss’s with pesky kittens rub dainty mittens smitten with ripping the cotton-topped children’s collars and slipping dollars to poor babies fathers while bothering loggers robbing old codgers –
