"subjective" poems
As insecure toddlers, we were often told by our parents that inner beauty is more important than outer beauty. This is how they were able to instill in us the confidence we may have today, whenever we represent ourselves in front of other people. However, this is something I find to be quite inaccurate.  If you ask a random person about what they find beautiful and attractive, most of them would probably begin to describe a person’s physical attributes than the internal attributes. Beauty is defined to be the perfect balance and harmony with nature, which may lead to feelings of attraction and emotional well-being. Since the attraction is subjective, the term “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” takes place. Many individuals would like to believe that looks are never important, and that judgments should be based on a person’s internal well-being instead of its outer counterparts. In our modern society, external beauty is more favorable since everything becomes more convenient, than when you only have internal beauty. People will always see your external beauty the moment they see you and not that beautiful mind and soul of yours, and that’s what makes them attracted to you. Just like with expensive cars, the moment a car is put into the market, the consumer who will buy them would first look at their exterior first before they would look for its driving ability; no matter how good its performance may be, these people would always look at its exterior. Also, external beauty can help you be successful, it can land you jobs, earn more money, and help you be treated with more respect by strangers than those with internal beauty. The preference for external beauty than internal beauty is what is wrong in our current society. We live up to the evolved norms of society that we have started to grow backwards. Outer beauty fades, and no matter how beautiful you are on the outside, once people get to know you, you’d be nothing but a simple less attractive human being than you once were. I would leave a wonderful quote here written by a great author: “A tree may look as beautiful as ever; but when you notice the insects infesting it, and the tips of the branches that are brown from disease, even the trunk seems to lose some of its magnificence.”

Why is outer beauty seen to be more attractive than inner beauty?
As insecure toddlers, we were often told by our parents that inner beauty is more important than outer beauty. This is how they were able to instill in us the confidence we may have today, whenever we represent ourselves in front of other people. However, this is something I find to be quite inaccurate.  If you ask a random person about what they find beautiful and attractive, most of them would probably begin to describe a person’s physical attributes than the internal attributes. That got your attention Didn't it? Even though I am a stranger Who couldn't possibly know it to be true And worth is subjective Arbitrary Those who know you would disagree And point out your merits And you would weigh yourself To realise that not all parts are equal Who am I to say such things? And yet you take the time to read it Reread, incase you misread In reading you contemplate it's truth You are my puppet, and me your puppeteer How could you be such a sheep! Why are you amused? Why does insult carry more meaning than praise? It's easy to hurt. Sticks and stones may break your bones But words can make you think you deserved it. We are social beings and so We look for validation But insult stands out It leaves a branded mark in our brains And so we spotlight it Unfairly Unjustly It's easy to be sad. But it's fulfilling to be happy. Being positive is hard But it's worth it in the end. How could I possibly know? I couldn't. But I do. And soon you will too. What are you doing now? You are reading! Now you are smiling.

You're Worthless
I looked at you The way an artist Would look at a naked woman. Your bottom lip was designed For kissing, Your hands for crafting, And there was a picture in every moment I have shared with you. I saw that we fit together So very perfectly, But the subjective camera Was only me. --Eleanor

Subjective Camera
What do you see When the flower meets your eye, What beauty must hide In visceral Versailles, In cherry tree reality... Does it mystify? The variegated countryside Does the chorus nullify The diversified into harmony What melodic elegance underlies That subjective divide Wistful of waves you fly What do you see in the cherry tree sky

It is in my blood I can feel its presence When it’s on the verge To emit a surge, every time my heart beats An impulse, Scurrying it’s way through the crevasses of my brain. Tainting the walls of grey matter with a tendency for unpredictability, Out of my reach. I hate it I don’t want it I never asked for this I can’t slow my mind down Thoughts so fast, hit me with whiplash It’s insanity. No. I’m not insane I can’t be I’m rationale I think about how I think about things, Like it’s a cycle that never stops.. Which I guess could be my downfall My vision says it all When thoughts travel my mind In dark tunnels at times My eyes blind to the surroundings Tunnel vision that make you claustrophobic; You feel trapped When all you see at the end of the tunnel, Is the darkness of insanity But.. I’m rationale I acknowledge I have a tendency to be blind to my surroundings, How can I be blind if I can clearly see? Is life objective or subjective? I just want to understand-- You're stupidWhat was that? Felt like a surge, on the attack An impulse That voice That’s it. Unpredictability That lies, In my brain waiting to be brought to the surface With the surge of an impulse. It’s the insanity that taints me, From seeing what really is I’m not stupid, I’m a learner. Granted with the gift of analysis, But darkened by the cruel nature of impulse To taint my minds innocence I'm not scared to think about it anymore I am insane, because it’s what you make of it. Insanity grants me with the gift of perspective, Throwing a million different ones my way Ones that are positive and ones that are new Traveling at hundreds of miles And this even includes All the negative perspectives as well At the times when I don’t want to hear them. Insanity must be embraced and never repressed. Repression tells you no don’t do that, it’s wrong. When insanity isn’t embraced, it is feared. When something that’s inevitable is feared You’re no longer insane, You’ve completely lost it.

The purity is mysterious Questionable at best Subjective additives aiding the escape from a benign reality.  Harsh sedatives cloud my body Instant relief from the mundane It's flame burns in my veins This beast, is becoming difficult to tame Beat it or fall prey, it's really all the same.

I am not real I am only an illusion Perhaps that's your conclusion Imagine such a dilemma All the Time believing Yet a thought can be deceiving Existence is subjective This ink that you see Isn't really me So why be concerned No need to discern   Give no thought to agree... This really isn't me.

LSD WISDOM
Innocence scrawled on a blindfold, "Unfair" whispered from within. Two subjective perceptions of the objective; Two dreams disguised as reality. Eyes glazed over with self assurance you're wrong, you're wrong, you're wrong. and now I'm sorry. Excuses emerge from hidden willful blindness, Searching for the core - where misunderstanding sits; Two mouths moving, saying nothing. Four eyes staring at the same painting, seeing different things. Two hearts so submerged in cement that they've forgotten to beat. The poisonous fog clears and drips onto our worlds melting all that we've built, but instead of taking everything, it's waken us up.

Here oh postmodern nihilist the grave awaits your death wish: Life       a          struggle escape it death           so tempting grasp it              and take its era with you: Keep it             away from our church's                                                      our schools                                                                          our civics                                                                                                                                                                                and further culture. Lo, the children black as the hell they die in... Its inordinately subjective unconsciousness; confused emotionally with its ineptitude of reason. Blaming its former God, for their own doing. Wanting to save that world upon themselves left behind from such a rejection. Lest they live in a Christ so unjust. As to not know all men equally, but to judge them--in their distinction. Creation your natural law emphasizes that which we do not want to come to terms with. If only we could make us all inter-dependent biological beings of mechanization. Chain me to genetic determinism and biochemical reactions foremost -- lest my soul affirms inequality:                                                                                   Liberty exulted                                                                                   by the risen Lord: Supremacy/Autonomy © S. Each lover has some theory of his own About the difference between the ache Of being with his love, and being alone: Why what, when dreaming, is dear flesh and bone That really stirs the senses, when awake, Appears a simulacrum of his own. Narcissus disbelieves in the unknown; He cannot join his image in the lake So long as he assumes he is alone. The child, the waterfall, the fire, the stone, Are always up to mischief, though, and take The universe for granted as their own. The elderly, like Proust, are always prone To think of love as a subjective fake; The more they love, the more they feel alone. Whatever view we hold, it must be shown Why every lover has a wish to make Some kind of otherness his own: Perhaps, in fact, we never are alone.

To Struga Festival Golden Wreath Laureates & International Bards 1986 Stand up against governments, against God. Stay irresponsible. Say only what we know & imagine. Absolutes are coercion. Change is absolute. Ordinary mind includes eternal perceptions. Observe what's vivid. Notice what you notice. Catch yourself thinking. Vividness is self-selecting. If we don't show anyone, we're free to write anything. Remember the future. Advise only yourself. Don't drink yourself to death. Two molecules clanking against each other requires an observer to become scientific data. The measuring instrument determines the appearance of the phenomenal world after Einstein. The universe is subjective. Walt Whitman celebrated Person. We Are an observer, measuring instrument, eye, subject, Person. Universe is person. Inside skull vast as outside skull. Mind is outer space. "Each on his bed spoke to himself alone, making no sound." First thought, best thought. Mind is shapely, Art is shapely. Maximum information, minimum number of syllables. Syntax condensed, sound is solid. Intense fragments of spoken idiom, best. Consonants around vowels make sense. Savor vowels, appreciate consonants. Subject is known by what she sees. Others can measure their vision by what we see. Candor ends paranoia. Kral Majales June 25, 1986 Boulder, Colorado

Cosmopolitan Greetings
Both latter and former, contrary and congruent Neither gas nor solid, the river moves fluid. No end and no beginning, just water moving… swimming… A formless former that is a powerful latter Contradiction through symmetry and space within matter Passively energetic as potential becomes kinetic Transparently reflective and silently phonetic Thermally dynamic and fluidly frantic The waters maintain a static chaos through mathematical mechanics. Mechanically architected and architecturally mechanic Water seems the perfect medium for analysis of a dynamic. Dynamic existence and persistent resistance Statically chaotic seems the architect’s insistence. Equilibriomatic, with addition subtractive Empirical measures fail to analyze the passive. What simply is, simply is… Invincible to mimicry or microcosmic reenactment. Experimental methods seek to unify the synonymous Attempting to prove the objective with a subjective hypothesis. Learn from the water, let its metaphor be imminent…. For the divine externality lies not without, but within it.

Potential Kinetics and Silent Phonetics
I wrote endlessly but in place of these adverbs and subjective pronouns I leave an empty line for you to place that significance that I can't hold onto. I wrote this song for you to hear but the chorus never repeats. I wrote this post for you to see that my words askew your self perceptions. I wrote a poem for you that had no title, no rhyme, no meter, but in place I leave behind everything that you were to me.

You are the velvet to my lace, the freckles on your face, the rocket to outer space when i’m forgetting why my feet need to hit the ground. You are three seconds away from a sunrise when I desperately need the light, you are a cup of tea and wisdom, and you are a giggle at just the right moment while the blood exchanges ideas between my wide-eyed fanatic manic panic mind and my static acrobatic heart. You are love and a smile when everything around has fallen dark. We fall down the seasons, each leaf turned to green as the time is subjective as valued. we fall down the winter of broken glass and torn kneecaps and into the summer of understanding and patched hearts. We fall down the stairs of the boy who was the blank slate and into the arms of the boy who painted his stone happy. You are the living room of my soul, where all the pictures make us smile just to look at them and the quilt on the couch is beautiful enough to make up for the small tear in the corner. Where the cups of tea sipped are innumerable as the curls on your head and the watercolor windows open past our souls and into our worlds. Someday we’ll be able to keep track of our socks and get enough sleep but right now I’m still figuring it out. I’m still trying to connect the sky to the tree to the earth to the tesseracted interaction theatrical statement of who I am and what I will be. We will become.

Lost in the thoughts of ancient realm Many thousands of years back Nothing then has stayed the same Such civilization, understanding we lack Every ethnicity group had a tale to tell From every little corner of this mother earth How we worked and walked, then we fell Cycles of life flourished again with birth Each era had it's own vulnerable states And each state had it's own Queens and Kings The then ancient calendars with marked dates Of unplanned wars in those dates boldly clings The cities that have sunk or drowned deep Took away with them, their entire civility In the great oceans graveyard, now it sleeps To be discovered by people with extreme ability The now generation, is very inquisitive On every find of any ancient matters around But the finds become government subjective Mostly those found from deep underground... ©sim

Ancient Civilization
Intelligence isn't based through an IQ score, nor through ones ability to count to ten. Intelligence is based on an individual's ability to grasp a concept in an exceptional fashion. Rather it be math, social skills or even ones ability to make others laugh. These all show an intellectual and subjective level of intelligence. Although regularities may vary, the general outcome of one's ability to stabilize information is no different then those of a "higher" place. "Everybody is a Genius, but if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid." -Joseph B Schneider

Realization
So many succumb to Group Think in such a way that it is dangerous. From a young age, though I knew not yet of the notion, I rejected opinions passed to me as fact for the reason that opinions are subjective: I did not hold as 'beautiful' what they told me I ought to. I did not hold as 'wondrous' what they said was so. I did not hold as 'difficult' what others had not yet accomplished. I did not regard as 'easy' what others had yet done. I was not serious when they told me I must be. I made jokes when they deemed it distasteful. I laughed at the hypocrisy, right in it's face. I didn't just lay down and accept it as fate. I did not like the music they told me to like. I did not believe the biased history they taught as absolute and true. I did not worship the mythic Gods they made to be literal. I refused to pledge my allegiance in a brainwashed mass to any flag of any nation under any God with Liberty and/or Justice for merely a few. Over time I acquired my own taste for these things: I grew to appreciate the discrepancy between what I was told and what I observed. From there, I formulated my own opinions, I became an Individualist. A Heretic. They sure don't make it easy. Individualism, to me, does not connotate isolationism, though with isolation can come self-awareness and self-discipline. Individualism, to me, refers to finding one's own Path; being a Heretic; staying true to your own Path. To be a Rebel to undue Authority. To not be afraid to defy your peers. To be an Anarchist within one's self. To practice Civil Disobedience. Plus, the friends you will make if you live this way will blow your ******* mind and last you a lifetime. - Opinions are never concrete; they must curve and morph with the ebb and flow of your particular life. Opinions and Taste must be relative to one's own personality and life if they are to be genuine. Even still, the pull of the social tide is not so easily resisted: You are succumbing to Group Think even more than you might think but I think, or at least I think (that) I think that we can all overcome Group Think if we would all just stop and think. Don't you think?

Individuality [Heresy]
At the basic stage of learning a language comes pairs of most commonly used antonyms, words meaning opposites of each other like the earth and the sky, far away and close by, love and hate, metaphorically speaking even you and me. Except, sky begins right where earth stops, so if you really think about it only the soles of our feet are truly grounded, while our heads have always been in the clouds. Distance is subjective, so depending on how fast a ride is or the resolution of a lens, sunsets and full moons are that much closer than a lover's touch. Love and hate are not two sides of the same coin, or the extreme ends of the same spectrum, but rather the same side of the same coin, exuded by the same people at the same people for the same reasons, interdependent, coexisting, one defining the other. Well, I suppose that leaves you and me. As in it literally leaves you and me out, metaphorically speaking, figuratively speaking, theoretically speaking, you and I aren't antonyms after all because, as it appears we do not define each other or anything in between. Like the ocean and a bumblebee. Here I am calm and blissful with sunlight bouncing off of every wave, dramatic and roaring, heightened with emotions soaring, bearing an infinity of life, continuously giving, nurturing and upholding, but all you want is honey; metaphorically speaking.
