"streats" poems
they call me their mother land But they've fled across the world And forgot to lend me a hand. Forgotten like a past lover As if I've broken them My heart screams For peace for I Dream of a tomorrow Where I recover A few of my petals may have withered or wilted But hope still stands Strong in my roots Regardless of this World that's tilted My streats flooded by tears And hearts taken by fears Bodies laying on my skin in an endless coma Tired souls roaming Around for a unknown aroma. the sky no longer cries of happiness And the ground shakes with fear War has taken the sweetness From my children's heart And left it with bitterness I hear their prayers from time to time And I pray for the fools who Have lived for such crime My heart awaits for a day where My children remember their roots And come together as one. A day where  I wear peace Across my soul and I'm No longer the forgotten one. -obeyonlyallah
