Hello everyone,

I'm so very sorry … I feel horrible doing this, but I have no choice. You see, I have published my first book on Amazon/Kindle! This piece (and many others) had to be taken down because they do not allow published material to be available online for free. (Go figure) I wanted to leave the shell of the posts because I felt compelled to leave all your helpful and loving comments. (Silly sentimental, I know), but I also didn't want to just have the pieces disappear without an explanation. I feel bad enough as it is!

I owe ALL of you so, SO much for all of your reads, love, and support. It was YOU that gave me the gumption to FINALLY get off my **** and publish! Thank you all for the warm comments, camaraderie, and encouragement! I will still be here, reading, uploading and just being the Rascal that I am. How could I EVER leave you guys?

The book is called “The Way I See It – FictionPhilosophySoul Food” and it will be FREE for the first few days on Kindle Select, so watch for it, if you are interested. I hope that you go and grab it. If you do, I would also hope that you find it worthy, you would leave me a good review. That will help me get in the public eye! Soon afterward (2-3 days or so), it will be available in paperback.

Find the book(s) here: www.amazon.com/author/jeff.gaines

Or find the book(s), and all about me, here: www.JeffGaines.world

Soon after, I also hope to have my first novel (a supernatural thriller), called “Wanderer” available as well!

  Wish me luck!

When I lived in my beautiful cottage by the river, the old house across the street had been converted into a "flophouse", much like what unscrupulous landlords do in the 5 boroughs of NYC. They take a studio and make it a 3 bedroom ... they take a two bedroom and make it a 5 and ... well, you get the picture. The owner of this home had done the same.

SO, being low rent for being crammed into such a small space with others, it attracted ne'er-do-well's and transients ... at best. One morning I awoke to sirens and such invading my normally quiet and peaceful, dead end street. Apparently, a guy had been stabbed to death in the flop house ...

A ****** in my quaint little fishing village?

NO!

But, it was all confirmed by one of the local Police Officers there that was also a pal of mine. He told me that one of the "flops" was actually renting the couch and that another 'tenant" had placed a beer in the fridge for his early morning shakes. When he awoke and found it missing, he saw one of the same brand beside the guy on the couch. Infuriated that the guy took his beer, he repeatedly plunged a 10-inch kitchen knife into the guy in his sleep ... The poor soul never woke up.

What was really sad, was that it all came out somehow that it was NOT his beer and that the stabber's beer had been drunk by the stabber's own female "house guest" while he was asleep. I'm guessing her shakes came earlier than his?

Somehow, I'm reminded here of the W.C. Fields quote:
"Ah, the evils of strong drink!"

Also during that time in my life, I had helped two "friends" that were really struggling ... who, in turn, had then stolen from me ... one opportunistically and the other refusing to pay a large debt after I bought him a used car to help get him back on his feet.

Those frustrating "lessons" and the poor soul on the couch became this piece in my often-hard-to-understand mind. I know that he didn't actually steal the beer, but the parable, as-it-were, remains.

I made a deal with Satan
Because you showed me
That he was my only shot

I threw away who I was
And became your enemy
As I smile like your friend

I learned the game
And that I have a gift

I use it to play you
And steal from you

And I’ll continue to do so
With you as my teacher
Until I cough and glare at you
Through my last dying breath

I’m a villain.

I secretly extort and leach
Off of everything and everyone
That you have ever loved
Because that and you
Don’t mean anything to me

I want to deceive
And take advantage
Of you and your friends
So that I can take your money
Because I will not settle
For less than the ivory tower
That you sleep in.

It’s easy to say;
He stole my heart away

He didn’t

That’s not what he did
That’s not what he stole

I would recognize it if I could
just lay my eyes upon it

With every part of my being

       I know I would

If I could just hear what is
calling for me ever since

I would translate each shiver
that runs trough my body

       I know I would

Then maybe if I close my eyes
I can feel what is missing

With every heartbeat that
keeps skipping

       I know I would

Like I said;
He didn’t steal my heart away

That’s not what he did
That’s not what he stole

I'm a poetry **

addicted to the high,

the ******* ride that always finds my sweet spot.

Maybe I'm a ****,

it doesn't matter if I'm paid,

when I steal away from loved ones

to ride the waves of poetic passion and sensation.

Undressed thought

either beautiful or lewd

slides across the sheets

embedding itself in the core of me.

I squirm in delight or

struggle against restraints,

the whiplash of panic

bringing tears that need to vent.

until euphoria erases sight and sound.

I'm a lost cause,

spilling my heart, my love, my ****

for everyone to see.

Do you have some time

to take a ride with me?

Your hurt
Your Anger
Your sadness
Your pain

Cry it all out
Show them you're in agony
Say you want to die
Scream that you don't want to live

Show them that you can't take it in
Say you've been through so much

Cry it all out
Scream it all out
They're always there to listen

Feel their embrace
Feel their pity
They'll surround you
With care and understanding

Talk with them
Listen.

Let them see your melancholy
They'll care for you more

You're the victim?
Fine.
That's what you want

Feeling really *?
Don’t!
Tired of being here?
Don't!
Cause you have them

You have friends
MY FRIENDS
Those people who I cherished
Those people who you stole from me

Those friends of mine
Are no longer mine

I took pity on you
I cared for you
I didn't mind while you're having Fun
Fun with them, without me

I don't care if you're laughing with them
But you stole them
You stole them without hesitation

Going through some
*
You and I are the same
Feel
* up?
Well so am I

I sit at the corner
You're being caressed
I cry, waiting
While you're embraced

You laugh at their jokes
While I walk away
You smile with them
I won't stay

You keep quiet
Well I'll stay in the silence
You have the light
While I'll live in the dark

I really do hope that you're happy
Happy with them
Happy without me

I'm jealous
I really am
I was the first

I was there for them
I lowered pride for them
I laughed for them
I smiled with them

We are family
We were a family

Now it’s you
You with them
Now, it's just me
Me in the Silence
Another long poem, but I do look forward for your feedbacks.. :) :) :) Heheheh..

Honeybees, birds and blooms unfurl
an enchanting spell
when spring comes by here

Memories waft 'neath burled rustic trellis
where flowered tendrils grasp fleshly
like the newness a love once tenderly embraced

Songbirds in your garden sing
of swooning memories rapture.., of velvet eyes,
the fragrant spicy nectar hidden within her walls

A song of honeyed bees'  sweetest stinger,
and the poignant ***** of intoxicating surrender
lingers, bemused spellbound by a thorny heirloom rose

Sharp beauty beloved like a blameless trap
caught blissfully, breathlessly inbetween
all you wish for and all your wanton needs

Desire 's wellspring an unspoken passion
coquet swollen buds adorn blossoming,
sensual, untamed carnal grace

A picture perfect natural beauty;
sunlit chassé … feathered brush, demure blush
dancing with basket of lace petal’d perfume

For to colour a heart's blank pages
rapt in the poesy a joyous ecstasy ..,
enrapture with rainbow's luscious taste

What seems lost is but a tender vestige unfound
a passing moments innocence lost
to steal away like rumors of gold

These silent reveries seep from a hole in my heart,
as if ripe strawberries of yore, gently weeping sweetness
when pricked by a thorny rose

The ides of spring do still bleed a timeless ache
onto the page ... sweet naivety stung
by a mesmerizing dart to the heart

Songbirds in your garden do sing
of sweetest things immersed in nature's nectar
blissful memories sleeping in the petals of a rose

Sung to the wind by a song sparrow — ♪ ♫...✩ ☼✩ ✩☺✩
If only now in dreams of yore
a sky full of stars shine brighter,
a garden of flowers fragrance more pungent,
and songbirds in your garden from yesteryear
sing tantalizingly more beautiful ...,
when you were near

She’s perfect,
Her adorable face,
The vivid colours of her soul,
But my heart,
Every moment without her it sinks,
Coz without her there’s an empty hole,
Loving her from afar
Has been nothing short of sadness and pain
It has definitely taken its toll,
But answer me this;
How can she look me in the eyes,
And not realize
It’s my heart she stole?
So there's this girl i liked.
If you walk in a road

If you want someone to help

Asking him for address

He may answer you with bless

The most are looking with soreness

They thought that you are bad Dishonest

They saw you are the worst

Or they might be avaricious.

One worry to say welcome

As he counts with small thing

He may tie his hands

Not to be entered in his sinus

He may be poor and had nothing .

But he must had hoping

And big smile as it was said

Smile at me and I want nothing.

He might be a thief and planned badly

He wanted to steal you even your money was needy
the world ascended downwards

My screams for help are discarded
I cry at the wall broken Hearted
I plead to be heard I cry doubted
Laughs is what I get from the simple minded
Idiot sons of ******* not know what happened
Born into the age of dampness
The old don't know the darkness
The young so fond of coolness
And I sit here feeling worthless
I don't  know what's wrong with me
I don't know what to be
Pain and suffering is all see
I only need someone to stand by me
I hurt myself to see if I still feel
I can't seem to know what's real
From this life happiness I steal
I'm all alone in this land of the congeal

Pressesd tenderly,
your carnal flower opens,
its butterfly released,
hovers like a hummingbird
drinking from the bill.

Oh, I too would steal you away
and cage you happily,
to get under your black-fringed skirt;
to see that pretty dress,
fly off once more,
and see you bare;
burned now forever in my banks,
a first sight,
of dark curls!

As I think of it,
my desire stirs,
but of us
I have already masturbated twice:
jammed,
hips pinned,
sliding over our wet perspiring bellies,
in our jungle heat:
'cause in the firmament of our embrace
- it's hot -
where glued we **** into each other,
stoking flames,
until sleep,
when we disappear from each other.
My mind crowds,
with niggling neurotic inanities;
yours with manic dreams where bed-wetting criminals in cages beg to be freed,
before better spaces overtake.

When I awake,
I am lying next to you,
Gwen over the horizon of your fertile valley,
a mountain,
white and reposed.
You,
murmuring desire for me.
****!
I can't wait to answer.

It is late,
late morning,
and we are all half asleep.
You have your back to me,
as we lie,
rubbing feet,
stroking hands,
(the oiled bulb at the end of a finger),
your fine shoulders,
(that delicate but persistent bone in your wrist that stretches with pointed elegance);
as quietly inside,
(warmly enveloped),
my couched *****,
rocks us:
each diffusing into the other
like the early morning brew.

**** and love,
closing-in,
which for a good while on edge had been:
the weeks,
days,
hours;
faint promises from afar;
sometimes a little closer,
our shadows in daylight cross,
as one over the other storms;
and once (or twice),
a sleeve brushes,
even better,
hair crackles,
as a speaking lip touches lobe,
and for a moment,
taking in the other's scent,
a hint sublimely overpowers.

And these,
dearest of fancies,
are just some,
with which to ******* your mind,
as you have mine:
the energy of my yielding tenderness,
inviting you to complete me,
as I spread for you with desire.

Much later,
those daring looks you have,
the way you walk our stage:
your beautiful bone china face,
those quick-fire arousing eyes,
your sultry self-assuredness,
your pre-possessing self.

I could talk about your couple,
of generosity,
reaching up,
beyond mere comprehension:
of the fact that I like Gwen
(his love gift for you, me);
but actually,
in truth,
I prefer to take this moment to make love to you;
to say how wrapped I am,
folded in your limbs,
in our mingling sweat;
how with your joy,
you touch my desires,
into yours,
so they flow,
run rather:
honeysuckle from your blessed nymphae.

You love my smell,
you say,
and I dream of gathering you in pheromones,
of drugging you,
of intoxicating you,
so once again you will find me,
take me,
have me.
Entice you once more like a creature from its shell:
Come!
where I can ravish you,
all of you,
lay ***** to me,
flesh,
sinews,
everything,
your very bones;
those fine elbows,
those knees I would like to ******* over;
wash their smooth surfaces in my come:
from these cliff heights,
rain ***** on the rocks below.

To once more cast aside your socks and get at your toes,
to pour oil on 'em,
to rub and squeeze' em,
while in the moist cavern of your insides,
we ****,
half washed over by our own tide.
And as we do,
I quail,
speaking sweet nothings of appreciation;
from full lips,
your sounds return,
the hypnotic rhythm of your breath:
I engorge and in our labyrinth,
- the maiden and the bull -
we consume ourselves.

There,
Sweet Lentiform,
you did it,
you got me rolling in flesh,
******* after your intimate parts,
wanting you in bed as I know you must have me:
pulling me on you,
kissing and biting;
my arousal in your palm,
pops,
as you run a curved finger over my nethers.

Lying,
lying,
side-by-side,
lying prone,
lying ******,
never unconsumed,
because,
please,
please us,
with more;
so rarely,
unfucked even for a pause,
nothing doing more than sleeping and carousing;
our sustenance barely enough to keep us at it,
an occasional comic thrown in.
Oh,
God,
throw the ******* comic at me,
will you?
Beat my ******* flesh with it if you like.
Anything to see you standing in all your pearly ***** glory!

And if you can,
keep texting me,
so I can hang on your every word like a ******* puppy!
Beautiful
long-haired,
skin tight,
upright,
wise,
gorgeously wild,
woman ...
Now pull me by my **** into your **** -
where I love it best.

I never asked you to give your love to me
Hold my weary hand
Listen to petty problems
Take time to understand

I never demanded your affection
Adoration and loyalty
Any of the compliments
Often murmured with sincerity

I never begged you to care for me
Invest energy and time
Undivided attention and eagerness to please
Give anything to ensure I was fine

I never wanted you to worry
Concerned texts, messages, and calls
Consideration for me when deciding
Yet you still made me your downfall

I never expected devotion
Be showered with thoughtful gifts
Spoiled with small acts of love
You chose the task of providing lifts

I never told you to fix my ****-ups
Put my emotional needs before your own
You were the one longing for company
I would have been fine all alone

I never forced your forgiveness
Accept flaws or compromise
Why did you keep giving 100%
After I hid secrets, fed you lies?

I never requested your love or life
Did not mean for you to fall
Did not steal your heart on purpose
I never asked for any of this at all
I hate it when a person throws all the **** they've done for you in your face in an argument when they did it freely of their own will without you asking for it. It's like "I wouldn't have accepted it if I had known it was just ammunition against me!"

Nobody marching toward us
Their guns making us die.
No tanks are come clanking
No bombers in the sky.
But our Congress and generals
When oil or bases seem needed;
We appear armed and threatening
Peace and love talk not heeded.

No country has attacked us
With troops and lethal artillery.
But our leaders expect us to
Go open up their arteries
And **** their women and children
And laugh while they all die
And we are expected to do this
And never think to ask why.

It’s almost like big companies
Were sad when WW2 ended
So they started attacking countries
We really should have befriended.
We let Russia have free reign
To **** and ****** and steal
Almost as if their aggression
Wasn’t really true or even real.

We looked around and made them,
Those evil old warlike excuses,
That some country threatened freedom
And we pretended they weren’t ruses.
We attacked Korea and Vietnam
We were just supposed to observe
That they were yellow people there
And think they got what they deserved.

We didn’t stop there, as Reagan took
A duly elected leader and put him in jail.
If any country did that to our country
The conservatives would howl and rail.
Then the Bushes tried their best to take
Iraq to steal their oil and punish them
And created an era of stronger hatred
And anti-American outrage and mayhem.

No foreign country has attacked America;
So, the point bears repeating once again.
We need to stop acting like bullies here
And start acting like decent statesmen
And women who have the bigger picture;
The growth of peace in our battered world
So, other countries will not take their guns
And shoot our flag when it’s unfurled.

I have sat on my rooftop,
Smoking slowly in lower mid-heaven
Watching the meandering march of workers stalk
Across the land, a cigarette,
Cold fingers,
a spine of smoke rising,
rolling over
My knuckles,
Then dancing in the ever
with the holy unseen
Offspring of anguish
and gut strings,
Chopin,
E minor No.4,
A song of boots
Stamping upon stone,
Shouting voices
Jousting
with the echos of dawn,
A war of decibels
Amid narrow rows,
walls and windows,
an unknown world beneath,
Shadows thrown between brownstones
in the ghetto.
Too many feet traveling
On this spinning stone,
Sabotage the salvation of silence
And steal the golden solitude of the sun.
The old white man winter,
Has gone, and never again will he come..
It is always summer here,
By the sea,
below clouds that are not free, but bound by
The heavens...
In this city,
All the light is connected,
Controlled, switches and grids fenced in by fields of steel.
there are no light bearers Here
There are no saviors
No talk of better days-
Just myriads of souls in search of signals,
Unaware of themselves and untamed.
