The quarrel of the sparrows in the eaves,
The full round moon and the star-laden sky,
And the loud song of the ever-singing leaves,
Had hid away earth's old and weary cry.

And then you came with those red mournful lips,
And with you came the whole of the world's tears,
And all the trouble of her laboring ships,
And all the trouble of her myriad years.

And now the sparrows warring in the eaves,
The curd-pale moon, the white stars in the sky,
And the loud chaunting of the unquiet leaves,
Are shaken with earth's old and weary cry.

you said that
you love it when it rains.
little did you know that
it rains
whenever i shed a tear.
maybe that's why
you seem happy
even if i'm hurt;
you enjoy
whenever i cry.
and i'll always end up
exchanging your sorrow
for my euphoria,
in hopes of you
loving the rain—
me, my tears, and my pain.

Naked eye,
silent sorrounded heart.

what's that sound?
elderly and ancient crown
from a spirit beyond recognition.

a vast dark room
comfortable crouching,
no hope,
no light,
yet he takes a glance into my soul.

Naked eye,
he sees through me
directly to my soul
his silence seems to claim;

"poor pretentious soldier",
"come home",
"come home"...
The sleeping eye
sees nothing aside
from the sleepers dream.
It may be shut
for fear to wake
only to face
an assembled fate.
May we never know
as sleeping eyes cannot speak
but rest assured,
these sleeping eyes do very well weep.

If "increasing knowledge increases sorrow,"
depression culminates from seeing clearly.
This is the 10th of fifteen 10-word poems I wrote this morning, 23 June 2015.  I posted them here in the order in which I wrote them.

Fear is what keeps people alive,
Fear is the only reason they're alive

Fear of suicide,
Fear of your loved ones feeling sad,
Fear of pain,
Fear of being in endless oblivion.

Fear is what keeps me alive.
Fear is the only reason I'm alive.

Curls become straight
Hair flows beautifully
until it wraps around me
Holding me down
Fighting against my will
Enjoying the pain
Of the screams
My heart makes,

We all paint our lives.
The mountains of challenges,
The rivers of tears,
The waterfalls of joy.

We mix the colours of sorrow and laughter
And add the colours of experience and the years that passed.
The souls we will always remember
And the moments we will never forget.

my condolences go out to the man
who gets everything he always wanted

ignorance is bliss is more than just a catchy phrase

the man whose every wish comes true
has to live with the knowledge
having never feels as good as wanting

while the man who has naught but his desire
will be left blissfully ignorant everyday
with hope left over for tomorrow

She was running
Running fast
She was chased
Chased by yesterday
She was fleeing
Fleeing from the world
She was haunted
Haunted by regret
She is gone
Gone in the sunrise

she was shedding tears
what's wrong little dove he said
i just realized
i'm no queen of carthage
nor the heir of england
i'm no khaleesi
i can't slay no dragons and
i can't free no men
but you are much more babydoll he said
no i'm nothing but
the queen of sorrow and sadness
the heir of sin and guilt
i'm a useless creature
and a heartless bitch
i lead a meaningless life and
i deserve to be butchered with a keen edged knife

The ground threatens to swallow me, it trembles and it shakes. You can't run from shadows, or amend all your life mistakes.

I've always thought the floor was glass, knew one day that it would shatter. Head held high all my life, even though I never matter.

It's a struggle just to stand, always on uneven ground. Life was better for a moment, back when he was around.

Now is when it falls apart, my lungs forget to breathe. But I've been though loss before, and learned sorrow will ever leave.

I refuse to admit defeat, but this world falls apart. Earthquakes ruin all I've made, and leave this black hole I call a heart.

In a single tear lie several sorrows;
In a single sorrow lie several tears.
