IF I LOVE NOT, I HAVE NOTHING MATLOOB BOKHARI If I worship more than arch angel but don’t love I have nothing If I give all I have to the poor, but don’t love I have nothing If I have faith which moves mountains, but don’t love I have nothing If I give gold in alms as big as Ohad but don’t love I have nothing If I die moving around the arc of covenant, but don’t love I have nothing If I die fighting in the holy war, but don’t love I have nothing If I die and buried in the tomb of prophet but don’t love I have nothing If I get land larger than Solomon’s Kingdom, but don’t love I have nothing If I receive God’s healing power like Christ but don’t love I have nothing If I am given un paralleled patience like Ayub but don’t love I have nothing If make sacrifice like Ismael and Hussain but don’t love I have nothing If I am given the kingdom of the world, but don’t love I have nothing No matter what I have done, no matter what will I do Without wings of love, I cannot soar in the kingdom of God Natasha Nabokov: reading your poems, I am reminded of Tagore who is my first love Angela Davis :matloob, your work is so amazing! An inspiring read. Seyed Mohammad Reza Parhizgar : this is why you are called Matloob, but I have something better than love, and that's God.thanks dear friend I loved your poem. Sara Fielder: I agree, love should be the motivating factor in everything we think, do, and say. The world would be a better place if we all remembered that. Stephen Montgomery : My favorite line is: all I can sense the cogs turning in this sincere post which has come to an understanding; Love must be everything because love conflicts with nothing. Hold everything sacred and nothing suffers

Gingerbread man, oh, gingerbread man, Tell me, at once, where is Carmen? Where is her mom? Where is her dad? Is she just slimm or just too fat? Gingerbread man, oh, gingerbread man, Tell me, at once, where is my ham? Is this a piece? Is this a slice? Have you cooked it on a device? Gingerbread man, oh, gingerbread man, Tell me, at once, where is my fan? Is he too old? Is he too young? Has he got curls or just a bun?

Gingerbread Man
Friends, this short love poem is to usher in the Season of Spring on this Basant Panchami Day, and is dedicated to our veteran romantic poet Fay Slimm of Cornwall, SW England, and also to all my Readers here. Hope you like the same, - Raj, New Delhi, 16 Feb 2021.        THE MAGICAL TOUCH OF SPRING! With the arrival of the magical month of Spring, When the bees and the birds begin to buzz and sing, Love gets ignited in the hearts of young lovers as they meet, Under the cool shade of an evergreen tree. With her face shining like the full moon, Her large dark eyes like two glistening pools, Wearing a white dress with earrings dangling from her ears, And with a coy smile on her face, - She steals the heart of her lover away! Love soon gets ignited on both the sides, As they gaze into each other’s eyes, And soon get charmed and hypnotized! Thus love’s flame consumes them both as birds chirp and sing, One may blame it on Cupid’s arrows, or on this enchanting month of Spring. Or perhaps it was destined and ordained by fate, That they should meet and fall in love on their very first date!                                        -Raj Nandy, 16 Feb 2021 NOTES:- According to Greek mythology Cupid's arrow is one of the arrows that Cupid is supposed to fire from his bow. A person struck by the arrow immediately falls in love. So Cupid's arrow means Love.
