You are my wind You are my sun The blood in my veins The bones to make me stand I've been drowning And i thought you were my life raft I thought you were my island My safe place to escape But turning away from the water Won't make it go away Running from the sea Won't make it less deep I've grown so used to finding my boat So used to hiding from the tide I panicked when it wasn't there Has my boat sailed away? The panic gave me a cramp Tied weights to me And I began to sink faster How could my boat do this? How could it sail away? But the more I missed my boat The more I needed it to stay But not as safety Not as refuge But a love to share And laugh and grow I still need my boat But not like I did before No more hiding No more dry land I need to swim Because boats are fun And great for days But the sea is a beast That no boat can match No she doesn't care that I'm a mermaid Who fell in love with a fisherman She doesn't care I've spent too much time on dry land I forgot how to use my fins A mermaid that can't swim What a pathetic life it is But she's cruel She wont keep the boats around So don't forget how to swim Don't forget how to use your fins We are strong us mermaids Making deals with sea witches Seducing men to their death All fine folk tales But you have to believe the myth Always been strong Because regardless of what Disney said I can't grow legs I'll always be a mermaid But what use is it if I can't swim When I learn how to swim again I hope my fisherman will come back I hope he hasn't sailed too far away When I'm on deck of our boat again We will dance and sing Maybe have dogs And flowers to remind us of land A piano in the dining room And guitars lining the walls Music will echo They can hear us from land The happy fisher and his happy mermaid Living together again But storms always come Because that's how nature works It rains It snows It storms Than the sun returns This time when the storm comes And makes waves that could touch the moon And I get thrown overboard I won't forget how to swim I'll play with the fish Make friends with sharks And await the return of my beautiful fisherman But you will always be my wind My sun The air in my lungs But soon I will have gills So I can breath when the water comes You can't be my fins anymore You can't be my dry land You can't save me from drowning Because mermaids are free But if you want You can be free with me So please return my beautiful sailor And we can live on our happy boat And I'll be one with the sea Because this sea is a part of me

Hey Human! I am your Sibling. Queen bee wings are Ripped, bee niblings are Smoked For Your Honey Sweet. Hey human! Listen your Sibling’s Buzz. Tiger lost bones for Medicine, Fox lost fur for Fashion, Sharks lost fins for Soup. Hey human! Do Not Butcher Siblings. Simba’s life is not your Trophy, Jumbo’s tusks are not Decors, Helmets of Hornbills are not jewels. Hey human! Do Not Reap Siblings. Emperors of ice continent lost land, Economics is making Amazon less, Logging makes Orangutans homeless. Hey human! Do Not Invade Siblings. Warm oceans bleach corals, Water depleted in cities, We ingest plastic regularly. Hey human! Do Not Desert the Earth. Overfishing is holocaust of aquatic life, Livestock levitates toxic emissions. Hey human! Do Not Prey on Siblings. Lichens stunned by pollution, Symbionts are disintegrating, Biodiversity is declining. Hey human! Be Together with Siblings. Hey Human! We are Offsprings of Mother Nature. Monera, Animalia, Fungi, Plantae, Protista all have common roots. We are branches of the one Phylogenetic Tree rooting Common Ancestry unto LUCA. Hey Human! We are Siblings. Hey Human! Recall your Siblings. Hey Human! Revive your Siblings.

The Forgotten Sibling
We wander, we wander, By moonlight, I ponder, Whilst sailing my ship towards that shimmering star! How we who are pirates, so willingly wander, both hither and yonder, no matter how far… Methinks to myself, “Not a bad life to lead, no longer a slave to the land like before… The wind at my back, so utterly freed, to seek out adventures, on any fair shore!” “Why do it?” Methinks, as I stand on the prou, the breeze on my face, lightly tossing my locks, For any a man would be called crazy now, for braving the sharks, and starvation, and pox! Is it the gold, that calls me to sea? Where hurricanes howl, and sturdy  sails rend! Or is it the freedom that calls out to me, and gold is not more than a means to an end? For me, ti’s the freedom, to do what I love, to sail by the light of the stars up above, And stand on my deck, under moonlight, to ponder, how we are those pirates who willingly wander… My ship, a fine lady, a handsome thing too, a good set of guns with a competent crew, her holds full of treasures, and finest apperal, and row upon row of *** by the barrel! So drink in the morning, and drink in the evening, and I would be lying if I didn’t say, We guzzle the *** from dusk until dawn, and me-thinks I’ll be sipping it all through the day! Then we dance on the deck, for the music is playin, the chilly night breeze has our ship gently swayin, And off once again, for we willingly wander, “But why?”  Says I, as by moonlight I ponder… Wouldn’t we like to at some place belong? Would dropping our anchor for ever be wrong? Perhaps there’s a place with a temperate climate, and someone to care for a salty old pirate? But till that day comes, I shal willingly wander, and whilst I’m the captain, by moonlight I’ll ponder…

*I was a princess. Long before the burden of knowledge -- before the reality of life plunged itself deep into me. Tea parties and ***** Gowns and pretty jewels, Braids and long lashes, We were the rulers of the kingdom. Walls constructed of plastic kept us safe, security from the barbarians that lurked outside. A magic mirror that warped and bent from age, from magic, to show your future, which was often a short fat lady. Thrones that swung back and forth, so that her majesty does not bore herself. We guarded our kingdom from the evil outside... but we forgot to check within our walls. At some age, we stopped guarding the plastic kingdom. We stopped looking for the monsters outside -- realizing they were lurking inside of us... whispering dark things. Now Aurora is sleeping off a hangover -- that beautiful face streaked with wet mascara maybe when she wakes up, everything will be better? Ella is hiding from loan sharks, wishing for a way out of the slums, hoping a rich man will sweep her off her feet. Ariel is running away from home changing her identity for her new boyfriend, desperate that no one will come between them. Snow is sleeping with several men -- mommy issues ran her out of town, now she's the walking herself to the abortion clinic. Princesses we were. Princesses we are. Princesses we will be.*

Princess
love its a beautiful thing really, its brutal, its strong it so deep, and so heartwarming, and at the same time, it makes me want to cry, scream pound my bed, punch the white cement wall until my knuckles are ****** raw and the wall has a display of reds. it makes me want to break an elegant expensive vase, and crush it in my hand. its destructive, desired, dangerous, and yet i want to laugh i want to sing and dance! dance to oh what a night dance with my yellow watercolored pillow case, with my favorite pillow stuffed inside oh, love is so peculiar isn’t it? its spectacular, and its like standing in the middle of a ballroom where dresses and suit ties of different hues reflect the chandelier light hanging from the ceiling, an array of rainbows cast on the walls. and yet, theres an emptiness… one I’m afraid i cannot fill, and rely on you to. its like standing in an ocean of chaos, of excitement and watching it from afar at the same time. i can see myself swimming with the sharks, yet i am a bystander as the thread of my life is strung tautly, i watch myself bleed, gruesomely torn to pieces i watch as the water darkens from spilt wine, the wine that was once salty becomes sickly sweet around me but i continue watching myself become bones stuck in their teeth. its like being in an aquarium, encased in water, and yet, still not a part of it, a distance, yet, a proximity i watch myself drown through the looking glass, unable to help. the sign says don’t tap the glass, but i pound and pound. I am the only one watching myself slowly slow, and slowly stop. stop breathing, stop fighting. love is holding your breath, being cautious, yet careless. Its diving recklessly, unsure whether to be sober, or drunk, and being both. its like seeing myself on a high diving board, the water beneath is so deep, it seems to never start, and never end at the same time. I can see myself, on the edge peering over, scared to take a leap of faith, yet relived i can still feel the sharp breaths, nervous stomach, because it means i can still feel, i am still capable of human emotions i thought had left me long ago, before you.

A Close friend said "The Perfect Woman" is much like a shark. if I am greeted in this ocean, by a woman I will allow her to look at me with all primal intent. splay my wrist open and watch her as she smells the little turn of blood floating now in spirals between us I'll have done it not for the pain, or shock but for the honesty. to watch a creature struggling to hold onto their facade and the tears that start to bloom in the pink above their sharp teeth. Look, I know sharks don't cry. it's not about the crying, I crave the visceral emotion. want to give my body to the indulgence the electric moment where I feel them feel conflicted with my whole body feel their suffering and internal struggle in my entire manic smile tight cheeked all eyes on them like a paid performer or Alternatively, I would give them all this passion, my body in anticipation of their opening clenching to their masks, They Devour me.

Attempting to define Dracophilia with sharks
Ashen doves float within the waves, slinking like silent demons in the night. They curl around my body, jaws operating like steel machines, gnashing at my limbs. I begin to scream for help, but they ****** my breath, they drag me under their tides of black, unleashing my unremitting fear of water predators. their teeth, sunken into my flesh, gnawing at my mind, painting me my new mortality. These are my demons, the sharks in the bath when it comes to hygiene. the fear of the below and the depths of human mentality, the untraceable percentage of human worthlessness, the detestable attraction to the demise of our minds, I float lower into the aqua, pressure building, unforgiving and foreboding I close my lids, and dream of the sand, praying it to be underfoot when I open my eyes, but when my lids open, the doves loom closer. The irony of a hydrophobe, dying at the hands of the sharks.

Blue Monday BY DIANE WAKOSKI Blue of the heaps of beads poured into her breasts and clacking together in her elbows; blue of the silk that covers lily-town at night; blue of her teeth that bite cold toast and shatter on the streets; blue of the dyed flower petals with gold stamens hanging like tongues over the fence of her dress at the opera/opals clasped under her lips and the moon breaking over her head a gush of blood-red lizards. Blue Monday. Monday at 3:00 and Monday at 5. Monday at 7:30 and Monday at 10:00. Monday passed under the rippling California fountain. Monday alone a shark in the cold blue waters. You are dead: wound round like a paisley shawl. I cannot shake you out of the sheets. Your name is still wedged in every corner of the sofa. Monday is the first of the week, and I think of you all week. I beg Monday not to come so that I will not think of you all week. You paint my body blue. On the balcony in the softy muddy night, you paint me with bat wings and the crystal the crystal the crystal the crystal in your arm cuts away the night, folds back ebony whale skin and my face, the blue of new rifles, and my neck, the blue of Egypt, and my ******* the blue of sand, and my arms, bass-blue, and my stomach, arsenic; there is electricity dripping from me like cream; there is love dripping from me I cannot use—like acacia or jacaranda—fallen blue and gold flowers, crushed into the street. Love passed me in a blue business suit and fedora. His glass cane, hollow and filled with sharks and whales ... He wore black patent leather shoes and had a mustache. His hair was so black it was almost blue. “Love,” I said. “I beg your pardon,” he said. “Mr. Love,” I said. “I beg your pardon,” he said. So I saw there was no use bothering him on the street Love passed me on the street in a blue business suit. He was a banker I could tell. So blue trains rush by in my sleep. Blue herons fly overhead. Blue paint cracks in my arteries and sends titanium floating into my bones. Blue liquid pours down my poisoned throat and blue veins rip open my breast. Blue daggers tip and are juggled on my palms. Blue death lives in my fingernails. If I could sing one last song with water bubbling through my lips I would sing with my throat torn open, the blue jugular spouting that black shadow pulse, and on my lips I would balance volcanic rock emptied out of my veins. At last my children strained out of my body. At last my blood solidified and tumbling into the ocean. It is blue. It is blue. It is blue.

Cruel times, cruel hearts of fighters Going to death under the orders of the fathers, For the blood that binds them, Both the brothers who fell and friends still alive, Brutal century, cruel eyes of the war, Staring with soulless of Satan on the human world, Yeah heard journalists huskiness news, Yes does not relieve a state of alarm of the soldiers ' mothers, What are waiting for years for news of the children. Is it possible the war to stop? All sufferers to give a lot? Blow out fires, bridges to restore? But the smell of blood strong for the sharks, Give no rest, so sweet it is.

Time of mankind
Lone leatherback cruises up from the deep, pausing on the fragile reef to feast ancient eyes upon the show, a bright parade laid out below butterfly couples paired for life, graceful angels in black and white stripe brilliant clowns and their toxic lovers, a plodding gang of giant groupers puffers bob like comic balloons, humble gobies on every menu beaked parrotfish grinding the coral down, in the ears a constant sound cowfish blowing puckered kisses, sea stars catching fishy wishes white-tipped, hammerhead, tiger sharks, triggerfish mean bite worse than their bark untamed unicorns too wild to ride, dogfish snapping, biting alongside coral trout color-shifting fools, attracting ladies in dull-hued schools **** headed wrasse rumbling through, thick lips mumbling go get a room sea horses nod in labyrinth caves, razor-toothed eels lying in wait if tentacled embrace should be your fate, nudibranchs will light the way to a place of bliss, none of this can exist, without the builders coral and algae bewildered, the ways of man egotistical rising ocean temperatures, carbon emissions, and el Niño victim of abundant greed, say goodbye to the Great Barrier Reef so massive is this magical place, one can see it from outer space astronauts witness its demise, ninety-percent barren, bleached bone white.

If humans as we know were creatures in the sea Why, people would be fish with the government as sharks stealing our sanity bringing humanity to its end The lies of the world are algae truth is the coral If you see past the clouded obstacles you'll see the coral reef of truth in a sea of lies

There are too many things I still want to do with you Baseball games in the blistering heat so I can Instagram our love Trips to the city I'll tweet about just vaguely enough that people wonder what we did all night in that big hotel room Swimming with sharks getting likes on our Facebook photos and jealous messages from our friends Our relationship was always set to private I guess I liked it better that way but whether or not my friends can see it there are too many things I still want to do with you Please don't be done with me yet

If you were a mermaid               c. 6.8.14 J.Ray                          I’d follow you down I wouldn’t be afraid If I had to drown Into the dark sea We swim all alone Though we cannot see Into the depths unknown Through the waves And through the sand To Pirate’s graves Let me hold your hand Sharks around us got big teeth Hold you close and calm the fear The dangers in the underneath But the water is just oh so clear Your hair catches the suns final ray I hate to go now but I’ll be with you soon In my true heart I wish I could stay I kiss you goodbye with light of the moon

The Mermaid
You’re forcing my hand, forcing the lungs to constrict, What will you do with the bits of love I’ve left to you? I don’t trust you anymore “Nothing is wrong”, Let it be known I’ve just had a bad week, Though that’s naive. A crooked dream I like to think about. I know I’m surrounded. Blood red hair you dye to stay pretty, Like the blood drawing sharks in calm waters. — I guess I deserve it.

Convincing Monsters to Lay Dormant Hurts Like Nothing Else
So it came to pass at last and sad to know a Timber has fallen It stood in strength tall and strong for over seven decades Resplendently toned it spread an uncompromising foliage Masterly in domain magical in reach attaining untold grades Humble in origins yet grew with endeavour and knowledge Distinguishably it cut sway in tundra and in lush green glades Son of sons of the Land held roots countenancing no crawling It reached for the stars and danced reasons with every shades Ran with the sun and sat with owls and vipers for tutelage Sweeping the very highs and the lows in communal trades In the jungle of sharks and vipers it be known who's in Charge A Timber has fallen while the rains falls and blue clouds fades There's now a mighty hole in the earth and rivers are swollen Leaves scatter and branches beckon hundreds of onward bridges Leaving best Princess, flowers and saplings for love and largesse A notable trunk laid supine free to roam without worldly cages Odes will enter dancing in guises and tears flow without finesse A Timber has fallen and dirges will ring out for a man of all ages Yemessia bows and says Adieu My Senior, we will meet again..... His nights are restless, endless dreams of young men climbing ladders. The ones who stop to fix their vests are left below, row after row there seems no end, distorted faces, silent screams through bottle bottom glass. Twenty winters wishing that the dream might finally end, he tilts his head and looks at God above his bed, a crucifix upon the wall, his Jesus hangs and bleeds for sins of lesser men but for him there is no comfort, he can't escape the scene of drifting death and flotsam, sailors drinking blood from swollen corpses, greedy in the eyes like the sharks that encircle them. When daylight comes still no relief, he sits among his salty sheets and chokes on waves of guilt. Deceit will always be his master, every day no different than the rest except, today he’s had enough, the dead, they will not cease their torment. Twenty winters waiting but the dead won’t go away. The boys who stopped to fix their vests The man with gaping wound in chest The burning wreckage going down The screams of those who soon would drown The oily water thick as mud The utter chaos, flesh and blood The rabid thirst he could not quench afloat in pools of human stench He goes outside and lies upon the grass, a Navy Colt revolver in one hand, a toy soldier in the other, he puts the gun against his head and pulls the trigger. Twenty winters Twenty winters Rest

How To Fall In Love With A Murderer
we are the masters of self-destruction trying to numb the pain with wine and drugs and smoke filling up our lungs, we write down in lines with no rhyme all the things that make our souls burn and die. our poems bleed we drink their blood then we write again, listening to stupid songs all night wishing sometimes we were deaf wishing we were dead. we let the doors open anyone with a knife can come inside cutting our hearts in half, any tear is welcome to create the ocean around us in which we deliberately drown ourselves. masters of self-destruction, our bodies are temples where dying souls hide, we run till our legs are broken jump off cliffs go between sharks' cheeks forgetting to sleep to dream we bleed we drink we love and hurt it's a madmen game we play each day laughing hysterically while slowly taking steps to the graves we dug for ourselves, the masters of self-destruction we are lunatics worshiping what's not for us to adore crying hiding falling again and again. legs broken, hearts cut and eaten flesh ripped from our bones lungs full of water ears burnt our eyes scream but that's fine 'cause we are the masters of self-destruction and our life is just a mad game
