so waves can crash around my feet
and foam can chase away the heat
of all the sands i've tread before
my toes will sink into the shore
i'll see the ocean far and wide
and as i laugh and chase the tide
i'll watch the sun set o're the waves
and find some little shoreside caves
to lay away and try to sleep
cause in my dreams you'll always keep
my hand in yours and my heart deep
within the sands of every beach
for no one else but you to reach

in a desert pegged to a

loadstar, whose sands try

to scrape free.

with a sound the wind

scarce believes could

empty it out.

only loincloth and limbs

move toward her...with

lips the sun has lingered on.

for all his moving, he takes

her face in his hands...

setting down his mouth's

word on her closed eyes.

eyelids raw with

interlacing quivers.

visions of water.

today's "tomorrow" is tomorrow's "today"
you try to catch it, but try as you may
the sands of tomorrow keep slipping away
so live in each passing moment today.

Something magical
Like the gleam of a baby’s eyes
Like the rarest of jewels
Like the Sahara sands
Something special lives in you
Something healing
You are divine
Beautiful islands
Of this birth, warm blue lagoons,
Palm trees and white sands.

How do you feel the void without a billion stars?
In this empty universe, my mind and heart collide
And as they seem to whirl, flutter and fall apart
I'm always lonely, always drowning in the sands of time.

They say home is, where the heart is
What if I'm a robot, am I heartless?
Do I have an engine here in my chest?
Am I lesser than a human, I'm a project?
Do I do what I have been assigned to?
Are my feelings and my thoughts not true?
Sometimes I feel like I'm running out of fuel
Everything I do is out of tune
Then I get autotuned.

I generate heat,  but I still need warmth
They say I'm cold, all I do is loathe
But inside I know, I just need love
All I get is rocks sent from above
This is your planet, I don't get it
I'm a foreigner in this city
Born without a mission,
Like a player without a CD
If I be persistent and these wicked issues
All so vicious and I'm always wishing
Will they disappear and my track get clear?
Or maybe I'm just here to feel this fear.

Electric shocks, my battery is burning
Yet I’m just a casket, empty and unfurnished
A system of transistors, I never keep consistence
Transist me to a kingdom of purposeful existence
My body as it’s glistening, you might see it from a distance
As I reflect the light but I never gain wisdom
There’s no friendship, there’s a treason
Humans are the demons,
I might be a robot, but I’m not a minion
I’m just a set of codes on a hard drive
Written for certain actions, all life
I’ve been following the tasks, it’s alright
But everything is in flames, it’s on fire

But it’s time to break the leash, so
I’m pulling up my sleeves, as
I am not your slave, so now you’ll
be on your knees, ‘cause I
I never worked for free,
Now you all pay the fee
Or else the world is gonna meet my
metal weaponry

She remembers the first time she watched him leave
She remembers the way her voice shook as she exhaled
And as she watched him turn the corner
She asked with trembling hands and a fast beating heart,
"Does this ever get easier?"
And no one answered.
She was alone,
Save for the cold breeze biting at her bones
And the deep purple sky filling her lungs
She closed her eyes.
That was then.
And now,
This is the last time she will ever say goodbye to him.
It's different this time.
A proper goodbye,
Bittersweet and all.
She turns the corner, looking back at him once more
She watches him as she leaves
Drowns in his smile one final time
Listens to the sound of his laughter, although it makes her heart clench
And while she doesn't believe in silver lining,
She thinks that perhaps someone can smooth out the rough edges of life.
Not him.
He warms her up from the inside out
But he burns when she gets too close.
He makes her cheeks turn pink
And her hands blister.
She exhales.
The sands of time flow through her hands,
Days turn to years,
Memories fade,
But the constant flow of time between her fingers is almost comforting
Life moves fast,
And everything has now come to a close
But for the first time in a long time
She thinks she's okay with that.
I remember when I wrote this. Tbh most of this ain't even a metaphor lol
