We fall, and hard, and in the shadows, ***** ourselves on snags, that tear our clothes; grazed and cut, we stagger on - Impressions, ideas, fancies! Of these have we been disabused. But is this spring, come again? Lovely, yesterday, in the bright sunlight, to see you, felt green hat in among the photo clouds, apple suedes on the gallery's dank floor. Melvyn,   and I, merrily circling with you the light cloud images, my nostrils full of pollen spikes. The pictures: wisps of trailing dreams churning in ‘scapes of infinite blue; dark clouds, in amongst them, too. Photographs in two time places caught; at once, all: the other and t'other. So excitement swells, and everything besides us quells, because the knowing of itself, knows, and dares beyond the frames; to skirt knowingly the unsaid; to want beyond the wounded past, to pull things, once again, inside out. In whimsy’s currents flow these thoughts, these feelings, these drives; swirling in eddies, so that as you sit, on a summer’s day, it moves, a mirror to everything above. The wavelets on the surface, hammered into shape, burn, bite and dazzle; the sun’s flames leaping and dancing on ripples. In the basement, on the concrete, your Y proneness shifts, releasing knees on black-clad thighs; two pendulums swinging, brushing; yawing metronomes in the cool, coolness of my desultory thoughts. Oh, what am I saying? Feelings like reveries walk along these silver lips straying languorously. These myths are too soon made, carried one to the next, one-on-one, until contained no longer, become new truths.

Thank you for the memories, The unexpected, sudden hits of nostalgia Taking me back to carefree days Of playing football after a summer rainstorm, Of laughing in woodwork class, Of my grandmother's awesome cakes. Like time travel on the cheap, You weather away the years, And the strata of cynicism and regret, Momentarily eroding my reality, Revealing the manchild at my core, Allowing him the briefest chance to once again explore. But these are unpredictable reveries, Three dimensional snatches of memories. It's time they developed some kind of smell recorder, Just like sights and sounds can be held for posterity. But such technology would not compare to my physiological wonder; Magically transforming scent into vivid memories.

Ode To My Olfactory Bulb (or The Need For A Smell Recorder)
The way he mouths her name His precise tone and articulation sends her crazed and off the edge a bliss with no resuscitation Exploring every inch with callused touch and hesitation Whispered moans in exclamations His kiss. His body. Her adoration They build their high in accumulation Released in sync, their exhilaration Silent physical communication Coming down with slow deceleration They meet eyes and mouths in gratification to slowly fall in reveries from their affair and liberation

I could have known you But I wasn't myself A book far from view To be left on its shelf Forgotten memories Of what could have been had Out of place reveries No more dreaming to add I don't know who you are But I tried to learn Afraid to go too far In the distance I burn Out of nowhere and back again Another friend lost Let's meet nobody then Make sure no one is crossed We are the same Just as everyone else We keep things tame Lest we fall as ice melts And drown in the expanse Of the void between souls Timidly yearn to dance With our own kinds of fools

“i’m done with furries” i. i can’t dream your dreams, but you’ve told me about them. you wear an owl mask shaped by fists and transgression; a laceration splits your side from a skin split to your rib splits. your love, Bill Clinton or Donkey Kong (whoever populates your thoughts), crack your bare skin until makeup leaks out of your pores. you dream of emulating art; O hanging from a ceiling claw, clicking heels against drywall until leg muscles give up and her diaphragm accordions close. but who is your sculptor? who is your artist? ii. alas, i am only a paper mache bird. i flinch when it rains, i flinch when i move; my paper skin could cave in from lip crack to *** crack. (i hate Inside Out. but, i’ve only watched it once, and i’ve been told my eyes would adjust on the second viewing.) i dream of emulating art; Marat in an ice bath, tragedy and love and death captured without conflict. but who is my muse? who won’t break my bones? iii. you don’t know my dreams either, but we could dream together. two reveries in polyphony of an owl and bird ******* making love before they make art. our love is ******* weird; a childhood seesaw we’re trying to find the perfect balance to with our weight. we dream different things; **** fantasies and intimate kissing, but that doesn’t matter. at this point in two years, we can see through each other. i can’t make art without you. you aren’t done with furries.

dissipated and disillusioned worms eating through the last splinters of the rotting universal wood. the last transmission of regret sent electronically, spluttered, into a tissue; in a moment of self indulgent ********** live showings of vicious execution, transmitted directly from the electromagnetic waves into the alpha waves of the young and naive. Desensitization, the last drops of humanity into complete disengagement. endlessly recycled bohemian ideologies whispered into the ear of the eager idealist. spreading like fire, before burning out into the uncatchable reverie up with the stars, with all the other reveries, shining bright, intangible. Instant dismissal from the old man, as the big curtain draws. Cynicism and fragmented past, falling on apathetic eyes, a proud man treat with a padded hand. faux sympathetic tones, blushing cheeks on old bones. We're out at a bar splitting a good night of cheers Drinks and laughter flowing among peers Double shots dance around the table Tonight's the moment, tomorrow's a fable We garnish the laughter with Halloween What's your costume, how do you swing A chorus of "I'll dress up as a cowboy" Is met by a few rolling eyes, "I'll address their convoy" Not to be excluded is the gay guy in back that chimes in And competes with the rolling eyes, cowboys are mine Laughter of reveries spills faster than the drinks A 80's song, When Doves Cry, continues to play over the links A women crashes the party and exhorts the group Come on guys put your wings on, fly the coup Halloween's around the corner, make a splash, make waves Find your muse with a costume that stands up, and raves Look out to the horizon, the rarefied air, and trick for treats Find my tunnel of love with a costume that beats After a pause, a coy smile surface on rolling eye's lip Oh Melville come with me, come with me, and take a dip Double shots dance around the table Logan Robertson 10/19/17

Nostalgia and memories Hope and reveries Love and peace Tears and craving-for-remedies All bonded together like quarks. The undying dream of mine To be flawlessly contented Is overflowing from my spines Ah I want contentment to be mine! Today, I find my happiness in nature In the serenity of seashore In the scenic stature In the golden green of pasture In the classic scent of roses The nature with its appealing scenery Tickles a sense to smile at the thrill A vibe of peace; nature contentment Really becomes a fulfilling feast to end my lament All hail to Lord who creates this nature remedy And makes my soul breathe sturdy!

Little girl with wide blue eyes Dreams as boundless as the skies Surrounded by dust and dead ends Waltzing in a land of make pretend Freckled, fervent and coy Twirling past the neighbor boys When she moves, she slips away Lost in a smile and a happy place Left to wander the desert dry Alone and forgotten no matter what she tries Looking for affection in an empty well Fading echoes of forgotten church bells With her reveries she swiftly dropped A leap of faith and the whole world stopped Warm blood and dampened grass, A mangled foot and a binding cast In dark days she prayed for help Wanting to step and perform Not ready to give up her last chance To take the stage by way of dance Ten years later, she's swaying and twice as stunning as before Sculpted cheekbones and brooding eyes Grabbing audiences by surprise She's reborn a star of the movies, With a new name and tiny waist Pretty young flapper with a striking face The little girl has finally found her place

untruths
Desperate limbs drape themselves in the exact same shade of undiluted greengreengreen that we've seen in stagnant pools and empty hearts. A tiny verdant forest of lichens and moss to mask the barren grey of a self inflicted winter. Fingers cast out towards the sky grow thin and wretched with the desperate, exhaustive need need need to ****** the light from the sky. Forgotten are the mouldering piles of discarded stars laying around its feet. I think of that girl as I pick up a damp leaf and carefully press it between love poems and silent reveries.

Blind Strain
I don't recall the moment responsibility grew arms hugging with gnarled fingers, while burdened skies wrap like a promise, with its soft tenor of lies and seduction. Disowned, I remember the drunk old lady who hung over my shoulders puking responsibility, as if to discharge toxic waste on a pre-mature baby struggling in labor, while death chokes the innocent, lost in love's knowledge. She could have warned me, even better, ridiculed me rather than put my head on a bludgeoned block allowing me to become a scapegoat for all the past, present and future mistakes: Some, of which was manufactured in threads of innuendo by off-loaders. These bones of mine are exposed in the twilight of their naked prejudice, and 'I swear I could hear clouds' curse my name, chanting wrath, creating chaos through veins of pride, before darkness fell feasting off my flames. There is nothing like hollow skeletons of the dead rustling around in graveyards alone. I stopped to think despite efforts of going solo; how I miss the stony silence of that skull, bent with anger seeking solace from my venomous touch. It would be a blessing to retreat into silent reveries where I am alone, I am alive, the dead are no more, to wrestle ghosts with words spoken into the heavens asking, "is there enough forgiveness left for me?" I don't want to remember her dead face, how it looked when her neck snapped while life drained from her stiffened eyes. I want the abstracts of my life to fit. So, I howl upon her bitter pill - release me... 7/11/2012

I lie strategically in place Innocent framework fused With royal carapace Frail and allknowing fingers clenched and intertwined, Mimicking the honest silver circuit in the night sky As candid as the shore Each slumbered and delicate breath Vitally delivered from those sublime lips Both damp and potent I get a candied wind of An accidental consolation To my crippling worry Sorrowful, I am, my love For eavesdropping, but My reveries are your keepsakes And I, Watching you sleep, carefully In A placid coma, caging waves of covenants And exhaling tokens of a life once dreamt of I envisage the unvarnished truth, your marrow as my sustentation, Your veins, My lifeline Where each filament of platinum and sorrel remain entangled and sprawled in forever, impeccably And how drawn out and vexing My intervals of lingering for you Have been And then you leak a sigh in a dream And exhale a veil of whispers Directly to my ribcage And I simper, cradling you tighter So you can breathe my craving, My contented tribute To my one veritable sentiment. And I seal it all in the midst, Of a drifted and slumbered and deathless Kiss.

Blitz of rage
A capricious young mind alive with reveries of vistas and granite hues, enthralling nocturnes and his touch in the night air. Disparate and removed you contemplated the stars, a life lived with arms outstretched beckoning the notional. Beneath the ceaseless sky you yearned for his warmth, to feel your ashen flesh adhere to his every fissure raising your arms to his celestial vantage you beckoned, once more. From the dimming light, above the distant horizon he rose - like the smoke of an ardent fire that resided within, ascending through your being, coming to rest upon your weary head, he suffused each lissom filament with a fragrance, eternal. ©Thomas Gabriel

Ophelia.
Shouldn't we see the world for what it is? Whether the land as barren as an oceanless sea or a forest thick with shrubs and trees of green and wildlife prouncing about. Can we not take what we want if we both want the same? What are miles as the crow flies and leopards roam? Are we not creatures of the flesh? We should ravish these bodies in the blistering sun of our own making; it would be so easy.       It's like the world has stopped turning, and yet the birds still sing. We are silent. The nights and days grow longer; we know it's only a matter of time. It slips. The time slips, and we are complicit in its passing over us. We are frozen and complacently lost in the reveries of the words caught in our lungs.       I am asking every question I can. Why now? Why should I long for something which I do not yet know? Yet I do. We kick up dust in our rhetorical dance, and it is only the steady rain of the passing days that can settle it again.       We both have roots in places not near. What does it mean to uproot the life? A transplant to other lands, and if anything should go wrong, we might rot into the soil if only to be reborn again — we are resilient and as sure as a passing day. Let me water your roots where ever they choose to grow, and let me shine down to encourage where ever you choose to bloom.
